Rate The Wrestler - Day 65 - Jeff Hardy

Well, The long question has finally been answered, and what does everyone want? The Verdict is in...HEAD!!! However Al Snow wasn't as well liked as his bodyless counterpart known as head, scoring a 81, which isn't a bad score by no means, in fact it's quite good, but just not enough to put him in the Top 10, He could of gotten there, but two votes were declined, when someone...voted three times....yeah

Today's Wrestler is Jeff Hardy, AKA Everyone favorite, Neon Cum Wearing, Spotfest Wrestler....Which brings me to give a statement, I know alot of you hate him, since he is a Druggie, A Spotfest Wrestler, A Un-Motivated Bum, and he writes Bad Music....but before you give him a extra low score...Thank about the great Ladder Match he had, and the moments he has given us to remember, I know he is a spotty wrestler and I'm not asking you to give him a 10, or even anything above a 6 or 7....but atleast hoping people will avoid giving out 1, 2, 3's...I mean he has given us good moments to atleast earn him a 4 in my mind...The TLC Match, The Great Tag Matches he did have with Matt in the Hardy Boyz Tag Team, and the Swanton Bomb and huge bumps...

Well with that being said, The poll returns.

Impact! 10-26-2004 06:11 AM

i'd say a 9, only because i was watching a dvd i made of almost all his best matches moments.

Mr. Nerfect 10-26-2004 06:50 AM

4. He used little to no wrestling talent and psychology in his matches. Most spotfest guys choose to be as it gets them noticed, Jeff Hardy was one because he needed to be. I respect the guy did a few entertaining spots, but he has little passion for the business, and almost everything successful he did was either rehearsed or due to Matt Hardy's workrate and natural ability.

As far as wrestling ability goes, Jeff Hardy is below current day Hardcore Holly & JBL, and as far as mic skills go he is below Lita, as far as entertainment goes, IMO, he is below current day Chuck Palumbo. The only thing saving this guy is his ability to risk hurting himself severely, and that's not exactly a good thing.

Ring ability: 7.5
Overness: 9
Work rate: 8
Politics: 10
Mic/Charisma: 6.5
Finisher(s): 8
============
And the final rating IS: 8.16666- rounded to 8.2

Aussie Skier 10-26-2004 09:01 AM

I was wanting al snow to get an 84, that would have been sweet
but anywayz, its all good.
Onto Jeff hardy

Ability: 8 - can do some awesome stuff off the top rope and that
Overness: 9 - he was massive for a stage there!
Entrance: 9.5 - love it! i love the old hardy boyz entrance, with the heavy bass
Finisher: 10 - best top rope finisher in the business!
Charisma/Mic Skill: 1 - i doubt i've ever even heard him talk on the mic, and when he does talk...well, its worse than almost everyone else
Look: 4 - bit too scrawny, scrawny in a bad way, not scrawny is a good, spike dudley way

6.9, however, I am going to change that to 7.5 because he usedto be awesome!

Do you even need me to tell you what I give Jeff Hardy?

FUCKING 10 OUTTA 10!

GODSON 10-26-2004 09:32 AM

8, he was great from 99-2002, he trying to make a comeback now. His matches in TNA is not great but gets better every time. He will main event Victory Road in a Ladder match and this ladder is probably his biggest match to date.

I realize that the Hardy Boyz debut on Raw in late 93 or 94.(well at least Matt). They were with the WWE for a long time.

Jeff Classics
Ladder match at No Mercy 99
Ladder match at Mania 2000
TLC 1,2, and 3. 4 was good but not great.
Ladder match against Taker. Nice drama telling
Ladder matches with RVD was pretty good both from the Invasion ppv and Raw

SuperSlim 10-26-2004 09:37 AM

I give him an 8.

can't downgrade him solely cause of the times he didn't care and stuff. He did help propel the tag team ladder match. He was a huge risk taker.

Evil Vito 10-26-2004 09:53 AM

<font color=goldenrod>8.5 (based on his entire career, obviously)</font>

Mayo 10-26-2004 10:34 AM

7.5, as he was a member of one of the most popular tag teams and had little girls squealing over him.

Jorgha 10-26-2004 10:43 AM

much better as a tag team wrestler than a singles.
7.5

asphyXy 10-26-2004 11:09 AM

Ring ability: .4
Overness: 8 for some reason
Work rate: 0
Mic Skill: 1
Finisher: 0
Overall: 1.88, rounds to a <b>1</b>. Jeff Hardy is an annoying cunt. I hope he mistakes a jar of flesh melting substance for body paint some day.

BigDaddyCool 10-26-2004 12:02 PM

Jeff Hardy is a fruitcake. His spotfest matches suck when compared to other spotfest matches. The boy just sucks everyway I look at him.

4.5

Sephiroth 10-26-2004 12:07 PM

7.5

Gone Mad 10-26-2004 12:20 PM

7.5, he was cool at one time. Not at all the best wrestler, but he has those high-flying moves that all the kiddies like. This high rating is mostly due to the fact that the team of the Hardy Boyz was definitely one of the best at the time when tag teams ruled the WWF.

BTW, I am very curious to see what everyone will give Goldberg, should he win.

awesome high flyer, took a lot of crazy bumps and risks, was the star in all of the Ladder Matches and TLC matches. too bad he lost his passion and fucked up his life on drugs

V 10-26-2004 01:54 PM

10, it's really a 9, but 10 because i know all these people are gonna be voting low

Innovator 10-26-2004 02:05 PM

8.5, for making me think he was gonna beat Taker for an instant

sorry i forgot the decimal 4.5 :shifty:

Mr. JL 10-26-2004 02:08 PM

If he is going to wear crazy face paint and all that extra garb then he would be better suited as a heel. When he first debut in TNA he never wore that stuff, it was the Jeff Hardy look circa 99-01. The crowd gave him a huge face pop.

Then in his second appearence he was back to the Jeff Hardy look circa 02-03 with the face paint and crazyness. And the fans in turn started those "Hardy Sucks" chants and "We Want Matt".

In his prime he was amazing. Should have been pushed when he won the Intercontinental Championship from Triple H, after that he was never the same.

He has actually been pretty grounded in TNA using psychology but most people will ignore that fact.

10/10

because people are going to purposely vote low. and because i am a Jeff Hardy mark.

Tornado 10-26-2004 02:32 PM

tucsonspeed6 10-26-2004 02:43 PM

I'm gonna try and offset some of the low scores that he's gonna get by default around here and vote a 9. I actually enjoyed some of his old matches. His ladder match against taker was very entertaining, and his role in the $10000 ladder match was gold.

Again, that's a 9.

3.5. Shitty spot worker who never had a good match unless it had a weapon or someone who knew psychology could carry him through. I hated him.

loopydate 10-26-2004 04:07 PM

5.9.

Good tag team wrestler. Shite as a singles star. Never had a great match that didn't involve a ladder in some way. The Hardys were a very good tag team, but I can't justify putting the less-talented half at above a six. He was a bump machine, but not in the cool Mick-Foley-sells-his-ass-off-to-make-his-opponent-look-phenomenal way.

LK 10-26-2004 04:38 PM

4 - Only good if he has Matt with him. The guy is crap when it comes to wrestling and his mic skills are appaling.

Mr. Nerfect 10-26-2004 06:36 PM

This has actually been pretty split. I'd love to see matt Hardy done tomorrow or the day after so we have a pretty recent comparison between the two brothers.

You Mean, The Guy who scored a 78 on Day 24?

Mister Sinister 10-26-2004 07:52 PM

Overness: 7.5
Ring Ability: 5.5 (Remeber, I don't give out 1's) However I give him the extra .5 since I feel sorry for him, plus, being able to pull off the Whisper In The Wind Merits it, even if he is a spotty worker.

Workrate: 5.5 (Once Again, I feel sorry for him, I still like Jeff Hardy, his body is so killed out from over working himself with the big bumps, that besides being a Cruiser...he moves with less Speed then that of Ric Flair

Mic Skills: 5 (Okay, He is Terrible)

Look: 10 (Well he got the look that earns him the Title of Charismatic Enigma...I don't know about the neon cum he wears...but the rest of the look, I like.

Potential: 10 (The Guy had all the Potential in the World, and I feel if he really got well rested or actually was able to give a full effort, He would regain that potential he had when we called him the Next Shawn Michaels)

Archivements: 7.5 (A Tag Team Champion, A Bunch of Times, European, Hardcore, Light Heavyweight, and Intercontinental Champion)

Memories: 10 (I'll give him this for his bumps and spots, since they are often remembered, and seemingly always making there way into desire videos)

Entertainment Level: 6 (He isn't as Entertaining as he used to be, which would be a 9)

Finisher: 8.5 (I still love his Swanton, no matter how many times I see it, of course, he doesn't do it as well as he used too and I hate him butchering his brother's Finisher)

Personal Bias: 8 (I was a Big Hardy Boy Mark, Yes it's True, and I still like Jeff, no matter how badly his matches are now, and everything else, proberly because I still have hope...that he'll become entertaining again)

Overall: 7.6

This is probably the most varied set of scores we've had for a RTW, is it not?

Danny Electric 10-26-2004 09:02 PM

For someone who took risks in the ring to please you 'fans' I'm giving him a 10. All of those injuries were due to that, I bet you all makred out like mad in alot of his matches. Now most of you are just following a bandwagon because the guy next to you doesn't like him.
So that's a 10 for Jeff.

Give me a ladder, a table, and Jeff Hardy's salary, and I'll take a sick bump.

Doesn't make me a good wrestler.

Agreed, New Jack, Sabu, Balls Mahoney, over half of CZW and XPW all take sick bumps. They are still some of the shittiest workers I've ever seen in my life.

No he destroyed his body to keep a salary. He knew he wouldn't draw one since he can't wrestle and has the natural charisma of a walnut.

WWE told him to tone it down, he knew had he done so no one would have liked him. So he kept doing it.

You've got to be shitting me. He was told REPEATEDLY to slow down. All those injuries are his own falut. If he had basic skills, he wouldn't need to take half the bumps he did.

I find that hard to believe considering the WWE threw a Ladder match at him every month from 1999-2003

No, I'm not some secret Jeff Hardy mark. Jeff Hardy is terrible, and for me to say that doesn't mean that I'm jumping on a bandwagon here according to what some other Jeff Hardy marks have been saying. Its my own opinion.

I can't believe that Jeff Hardy is actually getting "10" votes. To put him in the same league as those in the top 5 is incomprehensible to me. His mike skills are awful. He relies too much on his spot work, which to me, only shows that he is sorely lacking in most other areas. Its proven that the way he botches moves and spaces out frustrates those that he works with to no end. IMO, his only redeeming quality is his ladder matches, to which equal credit goes to other teams that he has worked with.

And after bitching about back problems, he's STILL going to be in a ladder match at Victory Road. Why? Because his first match with Jarrett was shit.

That's how I feel about Regal and Storm. Regal and Storm never had a classic match but Jeff Hardy had alot of classic matches. Plus, Regal and Storm is the most boring wrestlers to ever live.
