Nidia,Gail and Chuck is fired
From WWE.com
Gial Kim, Chuck Palumbo, Nidia released The WWE released Gail Kim, Chuck Palumbo and Nidia from their contracts today. We wish them the best in their future endeavors. |
Why Gail Kim? She was a good asset to the women's division, and was on Raw last Monday. THe other two I can pretty much understand, but why Gail???
|
Bloody heck, they're dropping like flies that have some sort of fly killing disease that's very contageous to flies about to die.
|
Well, Nidia's boob job was in vain I see..
Poor Gail though, that sucks ass. :( |
Gail was one of my favorites on Raw
|
LOL. Holy shit. Biggest roster shuffle I've ever seen
|
Chuck was a good young guy who never got a chance. He made the tag team with Gunn worked, then they dropped that. FBI was a good team, but they stop pushing them. They send him to Raw and he never got a chance. Yet, Visera appear on Raw and Smackdown in big matches. Val Venis is next, sadly.
|
Big whoop.
|
WTF?!?!?!?!?!
Nidia was starting to pick up some steam I thought, and Gail Kim is pretty decent too. I don't really give a shit about chuck. |
Can't say I really care about any of them. They all sucked and I'm glad they're gone
|
I thought this was a joke about how much WWE is firing people when I first read the title. But I am very disappointed to find out it's not. :nono: Good luck in TNA.
|
HMMMM, something smells here. You know, there was something in the Observer I was reading yesterday (I'll post the exact quote later) that was saying how the WWE should just release some of thier lower talent and let TNA pick them up in order for TNA to get recognizable names. The main idea discussed in that section was about how the WWE needs competition.
|
You make a valid point LC. :y:

We just saw Gail Kim get involved in RAW/Survivor Series in a minor (yet important) way, and now she's shipped off? Maybe Lita really is a walking Kiss of Death? Palumbo was starting to get over at house shows, and now he's getting released because he's been used in about 6 different gimmicks by my count (tag team with Sean O'Haire (now released), as nice guy with Billy (now released), homosexual publicity stunt with Billy (now released), tough guy with Billy (now released), FBI with Johnny Stamboli & Nunzio and Custom Chucky P. It wouldn't surprise me if Johnny & Nunzio get released now that it seems Chuck's WWE resume is being erased. Nidia was just getting started in the women's division. It shocks me that the winner of one of the WWE's contests is gone, as is the second diva in one day, and one that was starting to come along as a decent wrestler at that. The "WWE's Hitlist" is growing, and I fear for the following superstars: Val Venis Steven Richards Nunzio Johnny Stamboli Garrison Cade Christopher Nowinski Funaki Soctty 2 Hotty Shannon Moore Akio Rodney Mack Jazz Rhyno (Would it surprise anyone?) Tajiri (Would it surprise anyone?) Dawn Marie (Unless she does Playboy) Miss Jackie (Unless she does Playboy) Rico Charlie Haas Mark Henry Orlando Jordan Paul London (Sadly) The last few on the list are longshots, but it really wouldn't surprise me. Maybe even Matt Hardy, which I would have doubted a few minutes ago. I really hope TNA manages to do something with this cascade of former WWE talent. It seems the WWE are begging for competition. |
Gail Kim could actually wrestle.

*applauds*
Hey WWE, here's a gun. It's a quicker way of shooting yourself in the foot! |
6 releases in one week. This is horrible. :(
Vince must be getting low on cash. |
He's doing what anyone of us would do in his situation. Ever played simulators?

Gail Kim could start a women's division there, and hold the title for a long time, until we see the division start to build-up. Maybe Kim could answer Trinity's challenge at the PPV? Nidia could also work somewhere as a valet, or a wrestler. Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire could work in the tag division there. Maybe a stable with Billy Gunn? A-Train could be a real asset to the company if used right, and if Test doesn't want to return to the WWE, he could always go to TNA, where the sky is the limit for this guy. |
Quote:
Gail Kim was just starting to get a huge fan base too. And I'm sure Chuck and Nidia still have fans that want to keep them around. Assuming things. Bad. :n: |
This just in! Vince McMahon offered to host the next season of The Apprentice.

Looking at the pros of this situation, at least we might have new talent brought in, and the older talent may now be motivated to put in 110% now that criteria has been stepped up, and there is more room for wrestlers to develope. So far the release ratio has been 5:1 with RAW losing five superstars, and SmackDown! losing one inactive superstar. I wonder if we will see some laybacks on SmackDown!, or if they're just going to use them better. |

For the record, Vince and the WWE does not discuss the reasons behind releases/firings since it's no one elses bussiness but their own.
The reasons for firings/releases are only made public when some paparazzi wrestling reporter sneaks the news from backstage. Just like the reason for Test was leaked to the net (although you can't always believe wrestling news on the internet, they could be fake rumours). |

WTF? Gail Kim was great!

Except what happens if it backfires and you end up out of business? Ever think about that? It's not exactly the best strategy for a businessman. |
Linda, Shane and Steph are more likely to be fired than HHH.
Not much of a loss in the talent. Nidia is useless, she doesn't have much talent in the ring, and they already have enough chicks who can just stand there and look pretty. Gail Kim is a little suprising, but then again they have too many heel girls on RAW. Jazz is more unique, Molly has much more talent, and Trish is untouchable. Looks like her and Nidia are getting cut so that Christy's cheque doesn't bounce. As for why girls like Stacy are still around, its simple, they are marketable. Gail is just another 'decent' worker, but she's not really very special from a character standpoint. Stacy at least has the long legs thing going for her. Palumbo is no shock to me. I cant believe he's survived this long. I read someone say Chuck was getting over, when was this? I've seen him on Heat and I cant get past his shoes. And what was his gimmick anyway? This is a situation where WWE sees that business continues to head south, so they have to trim the fat in order to maintain their profitablility. Wait till they find out what Mania does, then there will be some real cuts. |
Maybe the reason for all the cuts is to make room to bring the brands back together.

Those 3 "superstars" don't make any money and don't draw any fans. You know they're are things called "numbers" and they're are actual documents that show who is drawing, who is gaining fans during segments, who is selling merchendise, who is selling tickets. You need to go back to school or something and take a business class because you are about as ignorant as they come. Yeah, 3 or 4 fans ain't going to do anything buddy. Maybe you like them, but your not the majority here. Or maybe in your own world you are. |
Basically what CyNick said up there is exactly why.
And to those of you saying WWE wrestlers going to TNA would backfire and make the WWE go out of business  I think you need to take a look at the business of TNA and the WWE. Let's stop for a minute and think. TNA is in no way and WILL NEVER BE as high as the WWE. WWE are ahead of them by light years and these guys WWE realesed won't bring in such great business for TNA that the WWE will be in trouble. |
Quote:
But TNA already has The Cock, MVP and yourself. ;) |
I think they could probably benefit from gettign Gunn, just because he could team up with Road Dogg, and that might entertain some people.
But they also have to weary of taking on a bunch of WWE castaways just because they have been on WWE TV. I think they are better off trying to make fresh new stars, rather than spending that same money on guys who will never draw anyway. Of course by that logic, Jarrett should be gone, but thats another story. |
We could only hope that WWE gets some sort of competion. They could give Gail, Chuck etc the chance they never got when they were in WWE.
So I'm assuming this "Custom Chucky P" gimmick was only about a day old, right? |
At least TNA has made stars out of AJ Styles, Ron Killings, and Chris Harris, and others. Sure TNA is picking up some of WWE's castaways, and grizzled veterans, but as long as they're not taking away all the exposure from the younger, pure TNA talent I don't see much of a problem.
|
Wow. Can't say I care about any of them really, but to me it is always surprising/weird when someone gets fired. But oh well. TNA could use these guys to their advantage. Mainly someone like Test, Gunn, and maybe Palumbo could help.
|
Seriously, If I were TNA, I would do a "WWE" invasion angle right now. Just have Test, A-Train, and Gunn all show up at Impact and just have them stand in the isle during a match and then leave. Then the next week, then can interfere n a match and say they've come to put the company out of business. Then you can even have Jeff Hardy turn on TNA and join his "wwe" buddies. And have Jeff say he's been killing this company slowly all along by using his "Markee" name to get to the top and win the Title so the other TNA stars don't have a chance. Then he says there is only one dominant company in the wrestling business and we all know who that is.
I would watch that shit. |
Fuck yeah that is a great idea LC. I am not kidding either. That would make TNA so much better. Just they wouldn't be able to use WWE buddies that's all./
|
Chuck just had an awesome match with Benoit last week on Heat and now he's gone. They always seem to do that... Anyone ever pick up on it? WWE tends to push people right before their release. Remeber B2? Essa Rios had a wonderful series with angle before he left...
Wierd. I agree with the WWE Invasion angle for TNA. They'd have Test, A-Train, Billy Gunn, Chuck Palumbo, Gail Kim, and Nidia. I'm sure Jeff Hardy would get in on that shit too... It would be a good watch. |
What other ex-WWE guys are working for the TNA promotion?
|
this is insane, oh well out of everyone fired i'll only miss test and gail, the rest i couldnt' care less about, infact i'm glad i wont have to see A-train's hairy back anymore
test and gail were awesome, and 2 of the people representing toronto :( |
i had a feeling gail kim was gonna go.
didnt think chuck would tho. but gail Kim, i dunno, jsut seemed like she was not getting any heat, and her wrestling has dropped a bit recently |
It's sad that these people were never really given chances to shine (except Nidia). Gail never could do much, and Palumbo was buried on Heat and Velocity.

WTF? Gail Kim was one of the highlights of the women's division. She was really getting good too, with all her submission work and all. This really makes no sense to me.
Shoulda fired Jazz instead. :foc: Of course then she'd probably sue them saying "You fired me cause I'm black!" :shifty: No more Molly and Gail teamups. :'( |
I will laugh my ass off if a bunch of the 'top dogs' hang up their boots soon and the WWE has nobody to fall back on.
|
Quote:
However, if they were to take that route I would only do it if they had a big name talent to lead the charge. And by naem I'm talking Austin, Lesnar or Goldberg. If they only have a bunch of JOB guys like A-Train and Test it will fail, becuase the casual fan will see them as WWE losers. But if they could get a big name talent, then it looks like something serious, and they might get some people to pay attention. |
As for Gail Kim being released: :foc: Bullshit, man.
The others: :| Don't care. Get rid of Val Venis, Rodney Mack and Hardcore Holly while your at it. However, if TNA did snatch up Gail Kim, I could see something of interest there. I don't really know what, but she might be able to do something. An invasion type of angle with Test and Gunn would be cool as Loose Cannon pointed out. I would watch it. But the thing is, TNA just isn't that smart. I know they're not as incompetent as the WWE, but their not that smart. They'd pick up Gail Kim, forget about her, and she'd be going nowhere. |
Quote:
I thought about the law suit, but I think it was because Hall and Nash acted to much like Razor and Diesal right? If I was the WWE, I would let them do whatever. GET PEOPLE TALKING. And yeah I was thinking Austin would be the best of all to join. When I was typing that though, I was trying to think of an ex-WWE guy in TNA who was big and well....there isn't anybody. Hardy would be the best choice. Could get Shamrock back. But Austin would be great. |
Quote:
Chuck Palumbo has apparently been getting promo time at house shows, and I've heard a few people say they've gotten good reactions. He was stuck in the "lower-carder with a gimmick" role on Heat, so maybe he has somewhere to go now he's able to leave fr TNA? |
Quote:
Jeff Jarret, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Jeff Hardy, Raven, Spanky, BG James, Ron Killings, The A-Bomb (I don't know if they could get their hands on the A-Train or Albert names), "The (Ultimate) Test" Andrew Martin, Gail Kim, Nidia, Spanky, Mr. Aguilera (I think they can get this guy) & Billy Gunn (if they can't use that name, why not BG Gunn or something to the like) are potential superstars for this invasion (being in the WWE at some point). At Victory Road, we could start things off with Trinity's Challenge. I'm not sure if this is a wrestling match or what not, but if it is, have Gail Kim accept the challenge and pin Trinity cleanly with her Hurricanrana. Afterwards have her lock in a nasty submission on Trinity, until out runs Kid Kash (I think that's who she's with storyline wise) and he pulls her off Trinity. Gail strikes Kash right in the jaw, but that's nothing compared to the Big Boot he meets at the hands of the man formerly known as "Test". Gail Kim and Test hook up in the ring, just as Kash's cousin, Dallas runs to the ring but, he is cut off when he gets near it by the waiting "A-Train" who scissors kicks Dalls to Hell. A De-Railer and Train Wreck in the ring leave him grabbing his ribs in pain as the three newly debuted superstars make their way to the back. Backstage Dusty Rhodes & Vince Russo could be argueing over who brought in Test, Gail Kim & A-Train. Russo claims Dusty did it, and vice versa. We now have the X-Division Gauntlet Match, which is all fine and dandy until we have two men left in the match (namly Spanky & Chris Sabin). They have a good back and forth match, with the freshness advantage going to Sabin, who is about to pick up the win, until Nidia runs onto the apron and flashes her fakes at Sabin. This distracts Sabin & the referee just long enough for a Jamie Noble run in, who obliterates Sabin with a Tiger Driver '91 (or just a plain Tiger Driver). Jamie B. Noble & Nidia walk to the back very closely as Noble licks his lips as Spanky pins for three. Backstage Rhodes says this is getting out of hand, and tries to find Rhodes, but when he gets to his office he finds Heavy D laid out in front of it with blood on the door, etc. Rhodes freaks out and goes to find medical attention. We now have the Last Team Standing Match, which is a great affair which doesn't see any interference from any former WWE superstars. AMW picks up the win. We come back to the NWA Tag Team Championship Match, with a new referee Chuck Jones calling the shots. It has been revealed that BG James & Ron Killings will now be getting the shot (I believe it was BG James & Konnan before). We see a match that favours Team Canada until Ron Killings tags in BG James, who goes absolutely nuts. He sets up Bobby Roode for the Shake, Rattle & Roll, but before BG James finishes, Roode is knocked down by a sharp "Chuck Jones superkick". Chuck Jones removes some disguising materials, and it is revealed he is really the WWE's Chuck Palumbo. Scott D'Amore hits Palumbo from behind, and goes to run when Palumbo barely flinches, but he is caught by Billy Gunn who tells D'Amore to "suck it" complete with gestures. Fame Asser on the three members of Team Canada. Palumbo looks at BG James, as if it say "C'mon!", and James springs to life and covers Roode, 1-2-3. We know have the Monster's Ball, which is basically untocuhed by WWE superstars, until the lights to go out, and when we get back, a whole team of WWE superstars is surrounding. Spanky, Gail Kim, Nidia, Jamie Noble, Billy Gunn, Test, A-Train, Chuck Palumbo & Billy Gunn. Jim Mitchell looks worried as a massive beatdown begins, Abyss and Monty Brown fight back, but the numbers are too much. Jim Mitchell then looks terrifyed he is thrown into the ring by A-Train. Raven makes his signature pose as the other WWE superstars make a barrier around the two. Mitchell then starts over-acting before breaking out in laughter. He then makes the same pose as Raven and hugs him. Don West who has been pissed the whole night runs out and basically tries to obliterate the WWE superstars, but gets his ass handed to him. And cops every finishing move there is in the book. Mike Tenay is then joined at ringside by Jim Mitchell who decides to commentate the rest of the night with Raven, who also joins Tenay. We also see Jerome Borash jump on the back of A-Train trying to defend his promotion, but he gets snapped for his troubles. Jim Mitchell tells us they're going to wait here until they hear the election of who the new Director of the Board is going to be. Palumbo & Billy Gunn go to the back, and bring out a tied up and screaming Vince Russo. The WWE superstars smirk as the roll him into the ring. Out coems Dusty Rhodes who looks angry at this whole situation. Whoever turns out to win the election, Billy Gunn grabs a mic for Russo, who now laughs maniacally. Russo claims that he hired all these WWE superstars, and he's now going to leave TNA forever, but he's going to leave these guys to rip it up. Rhodes receives a slight beatdown at the hand sof the WWE superstars as Russo poses in the TNA ring for the last time. We are now up to the X-Division Title Match. D'Amore is down to the ring and looking worried. Pre-match we see D'Amore tell Petey Williams he thinks they're right, because AJ Styles was never a WWE superstar, either. The two have their classic match, and after a hellacious competition, Williams gets pinned with the Styles Cash. Tenay asks Mitchell during the match if the invading superstars are going to attack AJ Styles or Petey Williams. Raven tells us that they're just out here to see a good competition, because the WWE superstars are only interesting in making sure all the former WWE superstars in TNA wins their respective matches, because they deserve it more than the no-name talent that never got to swim in the ocean that is the biggest company in the industry. Raven makes an excuse for Williams getting beat, and says his mind was on his fallen comrades, Booby Roode & Eric Young, not on Styles. Billy Gunn runs through the crowd into the ring and attacks AJ Styles as Petey Williams bails with Scott D'Amore. Jim Mitchell pops out a little line saying "Ooo, I guess we are interested in making this one of our affairs.", and Raven calls D'Amore & Williams smart men for bailing. Billy Gunn taunts AJ Styles by hitting him with the "Gunn Blaster" as Jim Mitchell jokingly calls Billy Gunn's immitation of the Styles Clash. We move onto our main event, as Hardy & Jarret enter, Tenay reminds us that both are former WWE superstars. Mitchell then goes "So?". Nash & Hall then enter together as both Hardy & Jarret get a look of terror on their face. Apparantly both had one member of The Outsiders that they had expected to be on their side. These two guys entering together makes these guys realise that one of them has been betrayed. We see a match with Hall & Nash sarcastically clapping whatever these two guys do. Eventually we see Hardy get close, but nope, Jarret gets his second wind and aggressively knocks Hardy off the ladder, and throws him out of the ring. Jarret is climbing the ladder as Nash & Hall slide under the ropes and then push the ladder backwards, and it flattens Jarret. We then see another beatdown. Hardy looks shocked as Nash & Hall then give Hardy one of his hand signs, and Jeff then smiles and hits the Swanton Bomb off the ladder. Hardy then climbs the ladder with Nash & Hall holding it, and we have a new champion. Hall then signals to the back, and out comes the WWE superstars led by Russo, Mitchell & Raven enter the ring and celebrate with Hardy, as we see a heel celebration to end the first ever chaotic Victory Road. Or that could completely backfire, which I hope it wouldn't, because TNA has an opportunity to do something big here. |
Like someone has said if these firinggs contiune then it's going to be guys like Richhards and Venis next who will be released. I can't say I am too disappointed with this news. Gail Kim was alright and Chuck was not bad but Nidia sucked big time.
|
Jesus Christ Vince, atleast give some of these people one more chance!

Chuck? he doesn't really matter even though he did look pretty decent in his heat match with The Crippler.
Gail? That I don't understand. She was gettin somewhere with Molly and everything. Now they drop her? What is gonna happen to Molly? Don't drop her too. Nidia? She was finally beginnin to make some waves in the women's division. She was one of the few that actually had talent in the ring. It may not have been much but it is more than some of those women they put all over the screen. |
