Wrestlers who never turned heel/face

List some wrestlers who stayed/have stayed on one line of the Heel and Face boundaries for their whole careers.

I was quickly going through names and I'm only pretty sure about two guys off the top of my head: The Ultimate Warrior and Hacksaw Jim Duggan I don't think were ever heels

LK 11-28-2004 05:03 PM

Duggan was a heel in Team Canada and I think Warrior was at one point.

This was done a while ago and I think the only guy who hasn't ever turned is Ricky Steamboat. Always a face.

Yashamaga 11-28-2004 05:10 PM

Oh yeah Team Canada

Stickman 11-28-2004 05:19 PM

I think Bret Hart was always a face to Canadian fans.

Mister Sinister 11-28-2004 05:21 PM

I don't ever recall Gangrel turning Face

Xero 11-28-2004 05:23 PM

Batista's been a heel his entire WWE career I believe.

And Maven's always been a face.

Team Sheep 11-28-2004 05:27 PM

La Resistance and Dupree

nelioneil 11-28-2004 06:55 PM

Gangrel was face with the Brood. They were doing some dirty work for the Undertaker's Ministry and then Christian lost a match against Big Show (if memory serves me correctly). The Ministry beated down on Christian and he was saved by Edge and Gangrel - turning the Brood face

I think that Gangrel remained face from that point to the end of his WWE career (though I am not 100% sure). Not including the one time appearance on Smackdown with Big Vis.

FakeLaser 11-28-2004 06:57 PM

Before anyone says Ted DiBiase, he was a face in the early 80s.

Well, he got a face pop that day, but he never really turned. He just started squashing Randy Orton week after week.

Was Jimmy Snuka ever a heel?

JeremyTB29 11-28-2004 07:09 PM

Wasn't Tito Santana a face for his entire career??

Loose Cannon 11-28-2004 07:10 PM

Steamboat's the only guy I know of.

JeremyTB29 11-28-2004 07:10 PM

Ravishing Rick Rude was always a heel to I think.

Loose Cannon 11-28-2004 07:13 PM

Snuka was heel before. Rude was babyface before.

Steamboat and Maven are all I can think of.

RemyRed 11-28-2004 07:30 PM

Eric Bischoff? He was always a heel authority figure. Other than that I think The Mountie was always heel.

Yashamaga 11-28-2004 07:34 PM

Eazy E was a face in WCW a couple of times

FakeLaser 11-28-2004 08:06 PM

Bobby Heenan (possibly the greatest heel of all time), though I think he may have been a face for a short time early on in his wrestling career.

Mr. Nerfect 11-29-2004 12:40 AM

Has Akio/Jimmy Yang ever been a face. I can't quite remember what role the Flying Elvis' played.

Gouda 11-29-2004 12:59 AM

From what little TNA I saw I think Jimmy Yang was a Face.... possibly... cause they started to fight Sonny Siaki because of his big ego and stuff....

Has Lita ever been a heel? I don't recall ever seeing her as a heel? When she came into WWE with Essa Rios she may have been :?: Although I though Essa Rios was a face?

And since Jazz was in WWE I don't recall her ever being a face. She may have been in ECW, or wherever she came from? But I don't remember a face Jazz in WWE.

Was Tazz ever a face during his wrestling spell with WWE? All I remember about him as a WWE wrestler is a feud with JR and Lawler, and being neutral during the invasion. Oh, and I seem to remember him being in a Tag Team with Spike Dudley? Although I don't remember whether this team was face or heel?

What about Jeff Jarrett? I don't recall him ever being face?

And a last one - Chuck Palumbo. Was he ever Face in WWE?

Yashamaga 11-29-2004 02:44 PM

If Essa Rios was never a heel, then add him and Aguila

Jazz was a face in ECW because she feuded w/ Simon Diamond

Jarrett was a face in WCW during the WCW vs. nWo days

Chuck was a face in WCW

Gouda 11-29-2004 06:10 PM

Was Christian ever a Face?

- Came in with Gangrel as a heel.....
- Edge joined The Brood....

The next thing I remember is Edge and Christian on there own as the heel tag team.

JeremyTB29 11-29-2004 06:13 PM

Christian&Edge were a face team for awhile. When they had their 1st TLC match they were babyfaces/

The Answer 11-29-2004 06:19 PM

Was the Junk Yard Dog ever a Heel?.Also what about King Kong Bundy,Hercules,Chris Nowinski,Giant Gonzalez I don't beleieve they were ever faces

Tazz was a face when he debuted, and for a little while afterwards. I believe he turned back face when he choked out Paul E. right after the shoot on Vince before Survivor Series. And the team with Spike were also faces as they were feuding with the Dudleyz, who were heel at the time.

When I think of the Dudleyz v Spike/Tazz feud, I'll always remember the sick 3-D the Dudleyz gave to Spike on the concrete.

The Mackem 11-29-2004 07:17 PM

Oh shit, yeah.

Loose Cannon 11-29-2004 07:24 PM

Sorry Mackem. As far as I know, yea, Kerry Von Erich was never a heel.

So, to sum up: Maven, Steamboat, Von Erich, Santana never turned heel

The Mackem 11-29-2004 07:26 PM

Thank you Loose Cannon, I needed closure.

What about Marty Jannetty?

Norman Smiley was a face with his Big Wiggle Thing.
Then he was a heel allying with Fit Finley because nobody pronounced their names right. ("It's Norman Smil-Ay!")

And Norman Smiley destroyed Pepe!

Loose Cannon 11-29-2004 07:28 PM

Jannetty was a heel in WWF with Al Snow as the New Rockers

Loose Cannon 11-29-2004 07:30 PM

JYD was a heel in NWA.

No, he was a heel when he tagged with Owen. Breaking apart from Owen and The Man They Call Vader launched this face turn, which led from like February or March (maybe as late as April) of 1996 and lasted through Survivor Series of that year, which was the last time he was ever seen on WWF television.

Yashamaga 12-01-2004 03:51 PM

I think Lita was a heel in ECW. Wasn't she allied with Doring in his pre-face days?

John la Rock 12-01-2004 04:41 PM

Jeff Hardy I believe was never a heel

Johnny Vegas 12-01-2004 04:48 PM

Yea, i'd have to say <s>Andy kaufman</s> Steamboat. Thats all i can think of right now.

BigDaddyCool 12-01-2004 05:34 PM

I might be crazy but has Shane Douglas ever been face?

Also, I believe it can be argued that Raven was never a face, best he ever did was tweener or heel...

Mohammad Hassan has always been a heel in WWE :shifty:

In ECW he was too.

When he was about to announce his retirement and hand the franchise name over to Tommy Dreamer he turned face. Credible and Storm came out and they got into it ( The Impact Players attacked Francine and Shane). Anyway, they wrestled in a tag match at Guilty As Charged 2000 and Shane got the pin on JC with the Pittsburgh Plunge.

Essa Rios was a heel during his short stint in the WWE, thus making Lita a heel as well.

Jeff Hardy was a heel during his "frustrated-painted-up-queer" period. I believe he turned face again after he finally won a match with Shawn Michaels against Chris Jericho and Christian on RAW.

Christian was definitely a face after the first ladder match at No Mercy. He and Edge turned heel after WrestleMania 2000 when they finally won the tag belts.

So what's that leave us with? Steamboat?

Oh yeah, just noticed this. Chuck coming on Nitro and taking out Luger was NOT his WCW television debut. He had been working for MONTHS on shows such as WCW Saturday Night and WCW World Wide.

The Animals were heels for like a hiccup when they attack Ric Flair a stole his shit. And during the early stages of the New Blood angle.
