The 2005 PPV Predictions sign up thread
Ok, here's the deal. Tornado and I have been chatting and we have decided that we will do the Predictions thread jointly next year, so we don't end up with a Paranoid Rattlesnake scenario again.
For those who are new to these boards basically on the day of a PPV I or Tornado will post a thread with all the matches for that PPV. There will be a points system for each match (e.g. 5 points to guess the winner of a match and 5 points for how) we may chuck in a few extra points depending on event. So if it's the Royal Rumble we'd offer some points if you guess the 30th entrant. Also on top of this we will spice things up by introducing a guess who thread for the end of next year. In other words you have to guess who will be champ for the different belts at the end of the year in January, which should shake things up and make everything a bit more exciting. Now there are some rules before you sign up, they are as follows: No Posters with less than 500 posts We can only except sign ups before the first prediction thread if anyone tries after there predictions won’t count Tornado and My words are final, if you have any disputes tough (i.e the way we scored for a particular finish of a match) So if you want to be part of this for next year reply in this thread. Your last day to sign up will be New Years Eve. Alrighty then, let the sign up begin! I think I remember doing alright at these, and hopefully I won't miss out on any events like last time. Just some ideas, do you think maybe something like 50 points for the currect order of matches, attire, order of eliminaiton (say at Survivor Series) or just something like that for us to guess. As like a permanent thing included in the predictions. |

Why is 500 posts so important? I should have them by the next ppv.

In the past, people signed up for the League, did the first few, then stopped. 500 is a decent number and shows you are more than likely gonna be around for the duration. We don't want to have calculate 100's of entries for NYR, then have a load drop out.
Also, 500 has been the entry limit for the last few years. |

Right, this is kinda a "heads up" for all the people that have joined. Hopefully I can get Dave to edit the title so people will read it again.
On the 1st Jan (or 2nd depending on how good a night I have New Years Eve) me or Dave will post the first of what we hope to be many "Bonus" threads. The first one will be title predictions. We havn't nailed down the points structure yet, but you'll be required to predict whom you think will be the holder of each belt on December 31st 2005. We'll probably only set it at a small amount of points per correct guess, as it'd be pretty much hit and miss, and could change the enitre outlook. Anyway, the thread should be up early Jan, and will remain open until 31st Jan. Any entries may be edited up to that date. As I said, this is just a heads up, so you all have time to think. edit - Also, as this bonus thing ends at the end of 2005, the winner of the 2005 League will hopefully be announced early January 2006. |

Me and Dave are more than likely gonna share the workload this year, i'm gonna take the top half of the list, Dave will take the bottom, so we don't end up doing each others results. We'll put them together after each show, and do our best to keep an up to date leaderboard. If anyone has any suggestions or objections to this, let Dave or Me know. |
