The Return of Eric Bischoff
DEC. 13, 2004

After a month-long vacation, Eric Bischoff returns to RAW. But the show he’s coming back to is much different from the one he left. After four wild weeks under the reign of Team Orton, the Women’s Championship has changed hands and the World Heavyweight Championship has been vacated. Tonight, it will be up to Bischoff to determine what to do with the World Heavyweight Championship. The entire RAW roster -- especially Edge, Chris Benoit and Triple H -- will be anxiously awaiting his decision. What will the General Manager do? Tune in tonight (9/8 CT; Spike TV) to find out.

Also tonight, the long-standing rivalry between Randy Orton and Edge will reach its boiling point. When these two meet in the ring, all of their pent-up anger and hostility will be unleashed.

And Muhammad Hassan will appear on RAW. For some time now, he’s been voicing his no-holds-barred opinions and has promised that those who practice hypocrisy and prejudice will pay a steep price. Will he be able to back up his words tonight?

With the World Heavyweight Championship now vacated, anyone could conceivably become champion. Triple H has already attempted to make his case to the returning GM. Will his pleas fall on deaf ears? RAW viewers may well see the fall of the old champion, and the rise of a new one. Tune in to RAW Monday (9/8 CT on Spike TV) to see how it all goes down.

With that said whats your thoughts and predictions Regarding the belt?

Mr. JL 12-13-2004 07:12 PM

For a brief moment there I thought the picture of Eric Bischoff was Christian.

Nervous Ferret 12-13-2004 07:12 PM

my prediction: No champ till' NYR

Loose Cannon 12-13-2004 07:13 PM

lol yeah, it looks like his face. Should be a good Raw tonight though.

Loose Cannon 12-13-2004 07:13 PM

oh yeah, that's right. Hussan tonight. Should be really interesting.

Gouda 12-13-2004 07:13 PM

One of two things will happen:

1) Elimination Chamber: HHH, Batista, Bentoit, Edge, Orton, Jericho. (At the PPV, not on Raw)

2) Tournament.

I'm hoping for number two. I loved the King of the Ring and thought it was a HORRIBLE idea to get rid of it. They could use the concept here. Qualifying matches on Raw and then the final rounds at the PPV.

Joe Kerr 12-13-2004 07:16 PM

Yeah and vince almost looks like JBL

Mr. Nerfect 12-13-2004 07:24 PM

Yeah, I don't mind those ideas (Elimination Chamber or tournament).

Rumour has it Foley's going to be on RAW. If he does show up, how great would it be if he did a clean job to Muhammad Hassan? Foley could talk about how he respects Muhammad, and knows what he says is true. Foley then offers his hand in friendship and respect to Muhammad, but he gets sucker punched by Khasrow Daivari and/or Muhammad Hassan who proceed to beat up Foley. This gets them over as non-race based heels. They can use the discriminaiton against them as an "excuse" if you will, which is a heelish thing to do. Hassan vs. Foley is on later that night, and Hassan beats him with his finishing move (which I head is quite impressive).

Or you can have Muhammad & Khasrow as faces, by accepting Foley's hand and having a clean face vs. face match.

Azriel 12-13-2004 07:26 PM

Yeah, World title to be decided at the PPV. I would almost like to see it in a HIAC.

Oh, and they completely ignored new Tag champs.

Loose Cannon 12-13-2004 07:28 PM

who are the tag champs?

Azriel 12-13-2004 07:28 PM

No way Alienoid, Hussan is going to be heel. And he's going to have squash matches the first few weeks like all up and comers.

Azriel 12-13-2004 07:29 PM

Regal/Eugene

Loose Cannon 12-13-2004 07:32 PM

oh yeah  god, those belts are ridiculous. I wish they would do something totally unexpected with Hussan and not make him a full blown heel.

Azriel 12-13-2004 07:33 PM

Well, we shall see

MERCI

Gouda 12-13-2004 07:34 PM

As the newcomer, I predict Hussan's first match to be against Hurricane. Cause it always seems to be him to face new comers and job to them.

Azriel 12-13-2004 07:41 PM

Nah, I think it'll be Richards.

Rain Man 12-13-2004 07:43 PM

You think Bischoff will come back as a heel or face?

Azriel 12-13-2004 07:45 PM

He's a tweener really right now. I think the only way he'll get total face is if he sides with Eugene on something.

KingofOldSchool 12-13-2004 07:48 PM

The Arab's are probably going to beat up Ivory for her comments the other day.

Joe Kerr 12-13-2004 07:49 PM

is it just me or do they seem to almost be trying to get Christian to go face? After the attack by Edge and then the super hero outfit.

Azriel 12-13-2004 07:50 PM

I'd say that's a possibility.

Both good ideas.I wish War games was brought back sometime this year between two factions.

Boondock Saint 12-13-2004 08:22 PM

Bischoff

Depending on the card for New Year's Resolution I may have to order two PPVs in January. Wallet will take a beating. I'd like to see another Elimination Chamber since I missed the one at Summerslam.

All depends though.I haven't seen a Rumble in 4 years so I'll definitely get that. Still kicking myself for not going to the one here in Boston in 03.

Volchok 12-13-2004 08:35 PM

hopefully tonights Raw will be a good one.. i have to say Raw has been getting very good...

Splaya 12-13-2004 08:41 PM

Gone Mad 12-13-2004 08:52 PM

HI, EVERYBODY! [/Dr. Nick]

Yeah, should be an interesting one tonight as it has been for the last couple weeks (which is good). Hussan will try to impress us all tonight, so let's see if he can accomplish it. And how about that Ivory, huh?? ..that dumb...

Oh, and yeah, I can imagine WWE wants Xtian to turn face.. he FINALLY has a shirt now! That should the biggest hint, even if heels have shirts but usually it's heels that are cool.

Bigg Mike 12-13-2004 08:55 PM

The Arabs are the good guys. You guys just are being prejudice and discriminating them because they are Arab.
:nono:

All they're trying to do is complete their lifelong dreams and wrestle!
You people won't let them be the good guys.

I feel like cutting a Paul Heyman-esque promo right now.

TMNT = Ratings!

And Ferret, the chicken thing is over, man. Plus no one else gets it. Sorry bout that.

..BTW Jericho should have the title, damn it! Bisch wants ratings then he should do that!

Nervous Ferret 12-13-2004 09:07 PM

http://www.normastitz.com/graphics/assshaking.gif : i'm heeled

Mr. Nerfect 12-13-2004 09:07 PM

I don't see why they should be heels, keep them face/tweeners, dammit!

A few things I'd like to mention about Muhammad Hassan before he official debuts on RAW:

-I don't know why, but I always pictured Mark Magnus debuting in the WWE by showing up on the stage, wearing the American flag as a a cape type garment. This is before I even knew what he looked like, so I was just thinking of a way to debut him using what I did no about him. I pctured Magnus teasing debuts on both RAW & SmackDown!, followed up by a feud with Edge on RAW.

-When the Muhammad Hassan character was created, I pictured him winning the Intercontinental Championship form Shelton in his debut match. Then I pictured Muhammad getting a World Tag Team Title shot, and him going to choose Shelton as his partner, but the deceiving manager (Khasrow Daivari) convinces Muhammad to make him his partner. Muhammad & Khasrow become the World Tag Team Champions as Khasrow uses Muhammad's other titles to protect him from defending one title too often.

-Eventually Shelton is angry at Khasrow, and Muhammad has to choose, and he aligns himself with his manager. Magnus plays the misguided face until he eventually realises that Khasrow is no good, and Eric Bischoff makes a Handicap Match. Shelton Benjamin vs. Khasrow Daivari, and Muhammad has to choose who he partners with. The winning team gets the tag titles, and if the person whom Muhammad doesn't choose wins the match, then he gets to choose a partner to team with. Shelton Benjamin & Mark Magnus (now going by that name) capture the World Tag Team Championship.

Anyway, I hope they do something original with Hassan. He has the potential to be good, and he has only one chance to make a good impression. He can get it done on the mic and in the ring, but if management screws up his story, it could be awkward for him.

You dont like a tournament idea?
I say everyone on the roster goes through the brackets starting next week on raw all the way to the Royal Rumble being the final match.

Yea, with them having the same match again after HHH hit Batista last week with the chair, it feels a little bit forced to me. Like, either they are going to rush into the turn and screw it up, or they are going to tease the fans with it until they run the whole idea into the ground.

I dont think he will turn until a ppv. If they do the tournament I could see Batista being put up against HHH but wont lay down for him.

I think the smart thing to do in this match is to have Triple H & Batista win cleanly, without any hiccups in the match. The have maybe Batista stare at Triple H a little before leaving him alone in the ring.

Then next week Rhyno & Tajiri vs. Batista & Triple H, R & T win after Batista goes to clothesline Batista off the ropes but Rhyno ducks under, runs the opposite ropes, Batista stops before he hits Triple H, goes to clothesline a rebounding Rhyno, GORE! GORE! GORE! on Triple H, sending him into a sharp kcik by Tajiri, and Rhyno then counters a Batista Bomb into a sunset flip in the ring after Tajiri sprays Mist into the eyes of Batista (the ref doesn't see).

JT 12-13-2004 09:31 PM

He plays a better cocky heel than an angry at the world heel.
