Patriots @ Steelers
Here we go again.
:bleh: We knew this would happen, just :bleh: hopefully it'll be a good game.
Isn't there enough gridiron threads already?
Gonna be a fucking sick game

Anyway, yeah... will be great. Having Dillon will make a huge difference, and hopefully have seymour back. The way the Pats played today and the way the steelers looked yesterday, would anyone be shocked if the Pats are favored? Heck, the game today was 1.5 and before kickoff was a pick... WTF, talk about not giving the Pats resepect. I'd assume the line will open, Steelers by 3, which is the "given" for a home team in the playoffs... but wouldn't be shocked to see it swing to the Pats by mid-week. |
Yeah, I like New England in this one. Not knocking on them either but I hate when teams make it alot :(

Just saw an opening line.
Pats are favored. NE - 2.5 No money line listed yet O/U 37 Eagles - 4.5 Falcons +180 Eagles -220 O/U 42 |
Should be Jets vs Patriots. :nono: Fuck, I'm never getting over that shit
Yeah I'd bet an arm that Doug Brien isn't the Jets kicked next year.
The Jets would have gotten hammered. At least The Steelers will give them a game. A losing effort, but a game nonetheless.
Quote:
Yeah just like the losing effort in Week 8  |
I'd bet my life on this game for new england.
And Peyton just showed, the regular season means NOTHING!
Tom Brady= undefeated in the playoffs. |
What makes you think that Pittsburgh can play the Patriots so much better than the Jets could, given the fact that Pittsburgh escaped only by the fact that the Doug Brien can't put the ball through the posts?
There is too much parody in the NFL these days, you can't really speculate something like that and be sure about it. |
Pats will win, easy.
yup, the pats showed me today, they are like one of the best teams ever. Comeon..Troy Brown is there nickel back.
ONE OF THESE QUARTERBACKS WILL GO DEFEATED
Tedy Bruschi is ridiculous. HARDCORE.
The Steelers will beat them just like the Colts where going to today aswell
Everyone who says Dillon is just one guy, and didn't have an effect on the 1st game is a retard. Patriots had 5 yards rushing, 5 fucking yards. That is ridiculous. I think Dillon will be getting a little bit more then 5 rushing yards. That will allow the Patriots to be more balanced, so then the Steelers won't be able to drop everyone back and play pass every single down. People forget, Steelers dominated the Patriots but Patriots still only lost by 14. Steelers struggled with the Jets this week, Patriots handled the Jets both times they played them. You think Big Ben doesn't have his 1st playoff game in the back of his head? He played fucking terrible, throwing the ball over guys heads and everything. I think I saw him make one above average play all game. We'll see what happens, but I am pretty confident here. |
The Patriots only "handled" the Jets in the second game. Jets had the first game won (fumbled inside the 10, McCariens dropped a TD pass at the end of the game), and they only lost by 6.
They destroyed the Jets in the second game though, I will give them that. BUT NOT BOTH TIMES STFU. |
I said they handled them, which they did both times.
I didn't say they blew them out both times, they just won both times. Jets didn't have the game won the 1st time, and then blow it. They had a chance at winning the game but they didn't. |
Zteelers didn't struggle against the jets. The Jets outlpayed them and should have won. Despite they haven't scored on offensive td against the steelers in 12 quarters.
Yeah thats true, the defense didn't struggle. The Steelers offense didn't look too good though. Patriots have a better defense then the Jets, and they have a better offense aswell. It will be a close one, but I think the Patriots will pull it out.
I would put my money on the Patriots, I missed the regular season game so i'll watch this one, if for nothing but to watch Roethlisberger get molested :(
If Roethlisberger plays anything like he did against the Jets and the Patriots play anything like they did against Peyton and the Colts, then you can see New England in the Bowl. I kind of want NE to win the Superbowl again.
That is a good theory, Gonzo.

Well...uhh...yeah...so is Ben? Less games but yeah. What's your point? That he's a proven winner? We already knew that. |
CBS has an interesting quote from someone in Indy, after the regular season loss they said "We just lost a home game".
Had Indy won, the game probably would have been in Indy. Heck, Indy would have had a 1st round bye. When's the last time the Visiting team was favored in an AFC or NFC championship game? Can't believe it's 2.5.... and you normallt get 3pts for being home, so that's a 5.5point swing. Radd, yes, the Pats lost in the regular season, but they didn't have Dillon, that's a huge factor. I'm hoping for Seymour back, that would be huge. Should be a good game, the Steelers WR are bigger and more physical then Indy, but Big Ben has looked like crap the last few weeks. So, who's a steeler fan? Someone looking for an Avatar bet? :D |

First off, the Jets only scored 3 points against Pittsburghs defence. the other 14 came off a interception and a punt return. Second the last time they played, when New England had a healthy defence Steelers ran for over 200 yards to win. So yes the Steelers can very well play the Pats and WIN again. IM still going with Pittsburgh vs. Eagles in the Superbowl |
Quote:
The Pats D wasn't healthy, Law had a bad hamstring and I'm pretty sure thats the game he broke his foot and I think Poole was already out. The most important missing thing from that game was Corey Dillon. If I was Pittsburg I'd be pissed. your 15-1, you already beat NE, and your the #1 seed and the Pats are favored 2.5 or 3pts depending on where you look. Normally the home team gets 3pts just for being home, so it's like a 6pt swing. |
Anyone hear these Steelers songs like "Rothlisberger in Paradise"
The best part is a few of them they call out names of patriot players and get the first names wrong. |
I was pissed 'cause I have to work today. Then I found out I have to work 10-6, which does kinda suck, but I'll be home right in time for the game. Gonna miss the Eagles/Falcons, but oh welllll this game's gonna be more exciting anyway. Can't wait :loveeeee:
Honestly, both games today are going to be so hot.
I am saying Eagles scrape by the Falcons (even though I love Atlanta) by a field goal so we have an Eagles Patriots superbowl. |
If that happens it will be another Super Bowl that I care shit all for. :-\
Quote:
Maybe if you stopped liking shitty teams, you could care  I'm sure Manning is gonna tear it up in the Probowl though, good luck with that :y: |
Quote:
I'd like a Falcons/Patriots, Steeler/Eagles, or maybe even Steelers/Falcons. Steelers and Falcons are the only teams I semi-like, so seeing the Pats/Eagles would make me just be indifferent... |
Any combo of the 4 teams left would be hot, the 4 best teams in the NFL all season homie
Colts and Chargers > Falcons
Oh wait I mean
Colts and Chargers > than Falcons |
I wouldve loved seeing Colts vs. Eagles......So now its Eagles vs-----.....Im going with Pittsburgh. this is going to be a tough game.
Steelers - 0
Patriots - 3 |
Jeez.. at this rate there is going to be a fight by Halftime.
Steelers - 3 Patriots - 10 |
what a throw!!!!!!!
well looks like Eagles vs. Patriots unless the Steelers get there shit together real soon.
God damn, the Patriots are on fire
God I hate football. Always the same teams
Shut up, football is the most fair sport out of all the major sports. The fact NE has been able to do this is fuckin amazing.
If it is the Eagles and patriots I refuse to watch the Super Bowl. I will Boycott
Quote:
my fucking satelite is down. Can't watch anything.
It's ridiculous how the Patriots even make the good teams look bad.
Total blowout. Steelers have to pick up rushing yards cause the Pats are all over their WR's.
Are you even watching the game? All the Steelers have done is try to run.
Yeah, I was saying that all they are doing is rushing cause it's their best option.
HAHAHA, I can't believe how amazing the pats are playing
meh, looks like pittsburgh aint given up yet.
Pittsburgh could throw this into Overtime.
The second half has been good. Go Pitt :D
It makes me wonder how much of the first half was due to rookie jitters and how much was pure skill by the Pats. It's probably a pretty even combination of the two, or maybe leaning a bit more towards the skill thing. Even though Pittsburgh has been scoring, they haven't been dominant by any means. |
I think the Pats got this one sealed.
yup, Pats seem to have it now.
:(
As long as the Pats proceed to butt rape the Eagles, I will sleep fine.
Reverse? :-\ Padding the score isn't my thing but oh well.
Yeah, I never said it wasn't the 4 best teams. Seeing the same team win every year gets a little boring though. Kinda like the Yankees to me. :-\ |

To quote my man Deion Branch after he scored that touchdown "Shut up" |
BTW
Patriots > ALL YOU HATERS ON TPWW |
Wow surprised Joe isn't falling over.. hehe jkjk
HAHAHAHAHA Take a seat Shitzburgh!!!!!

J Christ not even gonna watch the superbowl.
FABULOUSSSSSSSSSSS
I was going for the Pats, but it would have been cool if the Steelers didn't throw that last interception and made it a game
Patriots vs Eagles = ONE HELL OF A SUPERBOWL
Stima does it bug you that you have a gertner hanging from your dick all the time?
The only team that could beat the steelers did today... The Steelers.
I thought the Pats beat them :o

Oh trust me, im not taking anything way from the pats, just steelers made too many mistakes, All i see is a huge pats win in a blowout in SB 39 really dissappointing
shit.
GO EAGLES OMGGGGGGGGGG

2) I'm not bored yet, even though it's my team, I know what you mean. I want to see this win for the 3/4 and 2 in a row, to solidify them as a dynasty, also if Brady wins the MVP a 3rd time, you can start his hall of fame speach. |
Quote:
See, I am. I watched Tampa Bay v. Oakland, STL v. Tennesee, Balt v. NYG. IT's about football, it's also the superbowl parties. Now, if you're holding out for a jets or giants SB. Well, you're going to have to wait a while. So, you might as well just find a new sport. |
So, anyone hear Cower hang Ben out to dry in the press confrence.
said something like "We can't win when he throws 3 int's" Which is true, but how about admit the fact he played with a bad thumb and did the best he could. Yeah, last week it was "getting used to a glove cause they didn't fit" What was yesterday? playing with it on the sidelines, pouring freezing water on it? The guy what hurt, but clearly the coach still felt it was a better option then the other QB's. That's on the coach, you have a guy you know is injured and his throw are off, you as a coach need to pull him... |
Quote:
I did that on NCAA 2005 once on an option. My boy I used to play high school ball with did that in a college game not too long ago out in Cali. No doubt, they are a dynasty regardless. Brady and his "hey I got picked in the 6th round and was going to have Rattay picked over me and now I have two rings and two MVPS." :'( |
Outlaw you are a closest Patriots hater, i'm convinced. Talking about running that end around was running up the score? They were up 14, and that just sealed the deal. It paid off, nobody expected them to run an end around.
Then online, you IM me saying how Bettis ran over Bruschi for a one yard gain haha. Mad passive aggressive Patriots hater haha |
Ok. I'm not sure how someone can be a passive hater while also being an aggressive hater, but ok.
You can also see the hate coming out of me in that last post. And a closest Patriot hater? :wtf: |
I'm like an amped up Weed Smoker, mad paranoid that everyone hates the Pats
lol
LOL Just remembered, Patriots where on the cover of Sports Illustrated Thrusday and still won. SO MUCH FOR THE JYNX
Patriots > Sports Illustrated |
I don't see how Cower can criticize Ben at ALL considering he is a rookie, and it was his decision to play him INJURED. Fucker.
Cower should have had a better game plan. No way the Steelers are going to win if Big Ben needs to win it for them by throwing. Shit not even Payton Manning could do that. When the Patriots beat the Colts in the 1st game of the season, reason it was so close was because of the running game of the Colts. Once the Patriots got their run defense straight it was a wrap. Same case for the Steelers
So, Big Ben broke some toes in his foot. They're saying it was on a run late in the 2nd qtr.
Funny thing is, no one can seem to find a play where something like that might have happened. There's already "rumors" that he may have kicked something in the lockeroom at half time. No facts to those rumor but it wouldn't shock me. Also, it came out that the night before the game Brady was in his hotel room w/ 103 temp and an IV in his arm for fluids. |
You could break your toe just be stubbing it or something though. It would pretty hard to point out. Not saying he didn't kick something, but I don't know.
