Many fans were upset to hear that the Rock's contract with the WWE was not renewed. Some fans refused to believe the news and struck out at those who reported it but others sought a way to take action. This is how the petition "Bring The Rock Back to the WWE" was born. Fans desiring to let The Rock and the WWE know how they feel about this situation are encouraged to sign the petition which will be sent to Vince McMahon prior to Wreslemania XXI. The reason that nobody else does is because it's fairly annoying, and it's kinda "known" or what you would call "forum etiqute" that you shouldn't post a signiture in every post you make.

The Rock would make about $250,000 a year in the WWE as a full-time wrestler.

He makes $10-$15m dollars per movie. He makes 3 movies a year.

As far as the business end is concerned, renewing the contract was the best thing for the company. WWE doesn't need to spend all that money for the Rock to "possibly" make an appearance once or twice a year. It's not worth it for a little spike in the ratings 1 or 2 weeks out of the year.

I just got a huge promotion at work. If a bunch of people signed a petition to move me out of the corporate office and back into the retail store because they missed seeing me around, I would personally hunt each one of them down and knife them good.

Meanwhile, you can't petition Vince to bring back the Rock. It's not like he FIRED him. They parted ways on semi-aimiable terms. If the Rock want to come back, he'll come back. If you don't want the Rock in Hollywood, don't go to any of his movies. The worse his movies sell, the more likely he is to return.

I really don't see the point of this petition.

1. The Rock is happy with his movie career. Do you think a petition will change his or the WWE's minds?

2. Like a few people have said, the door is wide open for Rock to make a few apperances in WWE. They've already said that they'll be willing to brng the Rock back a few times here and there. Therefore, a petition is pointless.

It seems as though the creators of the petition are under the false impression that Rock was released and is banned from WWE or something. Get a clue, really.

1. Actually, it MIGHT change the WWE's mind (Although the odds are long against this working any better than "SAVE TAZ(z)"), but it's not really telling them anything they don't already know. Rocky's over bigtime, and a lot of people want him back.

However, the important point is that it's being sent to the WWE, and they have 0 say in this matter. It's Meester Johnson's call, and I doubt he's oblivious as to the millions (and MILLIONS) of the Rock's fans who want him back wrestling.

2. A deal like Foley's would make more sense for the Rock anyway. If the Rock decides to come back, he certainly will, and he'd certainly be welcomed back by both the fans and the WWE.

3. Anyone want to see the Rock show up in court as Lesnar pleads his case and just see him Rock Bottom Brock through the Judge's bench? That last one was way off the subject...

I'd love to see that last one. But then again, you know Judge Judy will get involved. Which means Buff will come in, try to bulldog someone, and break his neck or something.
