March 7, 2005

On Dec. 14, 2003, young Evolution enforcer Batista and crafty veteran Ric Flair captured the World Tag Team Championship for the first time. Since then, Evolution's power, influence and success has only grown.

But on Monday in Raleigh, N.C., the two Evolution members will instead battle each other. Since signing the RAW contract to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, Batista has become more and more independent. In contrast, Triple H’s most loyal ally will step up and take on the animal.

Will Batista’s brut force overwhelm “The Nature Boy,” or will Flair use his championship experience and Figure-Four Leglock to cut down the big man? Perhaps the X-factor will be the location of Monday Night RAW. This match will take place deep in the heart of “Flair Country” in his home state of North Carolina, and that might get The Nature Boy extra-motivated.

The HBK-Kurt Angle situation is escalating rapidly. What will Michaels say and do next, and will he be 100 percent on RAW after the bloody beating he took last week from the Olympic gold medalist?

Also, both Randy Orton and Chris Jericho seem intent on making their own WrestleMania mark on April 3. What will the “Legend Killer” do, and will we learn more about Jericho’s pay-per-view plan?

Why do they put their #1 face in a match against Flair IN Flair Country?

After thinking about it....... I guess it was the only way that they could have him wrestle on the show that would make sense

Plus even if batista does get booed, it aint going to do his mainstream popularity any harm, he'll still get cheered next week,

There are a lot of other avenues they could have taken instead.

Ric Flair giving a promo to the fans. Insert Chris Masters to interrupt. Have them have an impromptu 10-15 minute fight, fight in the ring/all over the building. Then they finally return to the ring all bloody and Flair locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock and makes Masters tap like a bitch. NC fans go CRAZY and this builds a feud that can carry on and end in a Wrestle Mania 21 match with Masters going over. It could be HUGE for Masters.

Or maybe Flair will turn. Then HHH will be all like "OH NOES!!! THE WORLD IS AGAINT ME!!!"

You know, that would be an interesting angle... And so would this...

Batista and Flair wrestle for about 10 minutes, Batista starts to get the upper hand, and Triple H gets the sledgehammer out... He gets in the ring while the ref is trying to keep him out, throws the ref down, and goes to hit Batista but hits Flair instead. Batista goes for the cover and gets it, Flair gets up after a few minutes and stares down Triple H, then they go at it with Flair ending it with a Figure Four and Triple H wailing and crying like the bitch that he is.

Then I guess Flair would go on to manage Batista... Or Flair does another turn at WrestleMania and attacks Batista but Batista still manages to win and Triple H then ditches Flair, possibly feuding with him.

Then the next week, Triple H beats down both Flair and Batista..comes out and says, "Let me remind you...."
