Biggest show of strength by a wrestler against another wrestler

Is Hogan slamming Andre at Wrestlemania 3 number 1?

M. Banana 05-09-2005 09:04 PM

Kevin Nash powerbombing The Giant.

:shifty:

HankScorpio 05-09-2005 09:05 PM

Strangely, I thought Cena F-Uing Big Show at WMXX was pretty impressive :-\

They shouldn't have even tried it. Big show tipping the cars was impressive but yeah they are not wrestlers.

M. Banana 05-09-2005 09:19 PM

Whatchoo talkin' 'bout Save-yah? It was done perfectly.. :shifty:

Gerard 05-09-2005 09:29 PM

Probably goldberg jackhammering the giant. First time i heard about it i was thinking it was probably gonna look like a really quick standard suplex and nothing more but he got him up there and held him for a bit before slamming him down. Pretty impressive.

Was thinking possibly lesnar with the f5 on big show but its not all that impressive considering cena can get him up in the same setup position for the fu.

Show was helped after he could not do it...

Zen v.W.o. 05-09-2005 09:29 PM

British Bulldog pressing Yoko over his head 4 times.

He's done it other times without help, torrie wilsons car for one.

Mr. JL 05-09-2005 09:32 PM

F5 on Big Show by Lesnar was pretty fucking sick.

But then again there is always Bam Bam Bigelow throwing Spike Dudley into the third row and the fans catching him + giving him a crowd surf. :shifty:

I was thinking the exact same thing when I read the title :y:

Never heard of Bulldog military pressing Yoko 4 times though

Goulet 05-09-2005 09:39 PM

I'd say Hogan and Andre... at that point in Andre's career he wasn't in any shape to jump or anything to help Hogan

John la Rock 05-09-2005 09:41 PM

Hogan slamming Andre and Brock F5'ing Big Show

M. Banana 05-09-2005 09:41 PM

Holy eff. Someone give me a video of Goldberg jackhammering Big Show.

It was actually 5 times, but the last one wasn't a full press so they deemed it 4. Just them wanting to take down the bulldog. :-\

SuperSlim 05-10-2005 12:21 AM

what bout Ahmed bodyslamming the 600+ pound Yokozuna

Gouda 05-10-2005 12:21 AM

OMG. Lex Luger picking up The Giant!!!!

Schivani: OH MY GOD!!!!!! HE PICKED UP THE GIANT!!! NO ONE'S EVER DONE THAT BEFORE!!!!!

*next match where someone fight The Giant and picks him up*

Schivani: OH MY GOD!!!!!! HE PICKED UP THE GIANT!!! NO ONE'S EVER DONE THAT BEFORE!!!!!

Taz suplexing Bam Bam, after Bam Bam deadwieghted him was pretty cool.

Aussie Skier 05-10-2005 03:20 AM

i marked out when Lex bodyslammed Yoko, OMG, i was like WOW!!!

but Bulldog lifting Yoko..i really wanna see that!

The Fitz 05-10-2005 03:39 AM

I'm agreeing with the people that said Lesnar F-5ing the Big Show and Cena also F-Uing the Big Show.

Poor Big Show and getting F-ed.

Corkscrewed 05-10-2005 05:44 AM

I actually think Brock Lesnar belly to belly suplexing the Big Show is more impressive than F-5'ing him. With an F-5, you can support a ton of weight on your shoulders, which are arguably the best parts of your body for supporting weight. But to get enough torque to flip another guy over... that's tough.

The One 05-10-2005 05:46 AM

Davey Boy pressing Yoko...

Something wants me to say it happened at WrestleMania XII...but don't fucking quote me on that.

The Fugitive 05-10-2005 10:00 AM

Aren't you guys forgetting the time Big Show pulled down the Titantron?

That was a show of incredible strength. :shifty:

Vastardikai 05-10-2005 11:03 AM

I remember Ahmed slamming Yokozuna. The thing with Luger's slam was that it looked kind of sloppy. Yoko was even fatter when Ahmed slammed him, and the two made look easy.

Sickboy 05-10-2005 11:21 AM

Lesnar's running Powerbomb on Big Show was pretty sweet too. But Show was standing on the the ropes when Lesnar lift him.

Purgatory 05-10-2005 02:28 PM

Hogan did not bodyslam Andre at Wrestlemania 1, he and Mr. T faced Piper and Paul Ordorff. Andre did bodyslam Big John Studd, however. Hogan bodyslammed Andre at Wrestlemania 3.

cafctom 05-10-2005 02:48 PM

I'm not too sure what the best show of strength was but the one that I found most impressive/suprising was John Cena doing the F-U on Big Show. Because at the time, Cena didn't really have much of a reputation for being strong or being that big in comparison to other wrestlers.

Nark Order 05-10-2005 02:54 PM

Are you joking? Cena has always been one of the most ripped wrestlers in the WWE ever since he got there.

cafctom 05-10-2005 03:24 PM

Yeah true he has always looked ripped - But when you think of a person who may be capable of lifting the Big Show, most of the time I would think of someone who is really large and tall (eg - Kane, Undertaker, Mark Henry, Rikishi). Cena hasn't really had that 'reputation' of bring a big man.

:wtf: Did you even read my first post?

M. Banana 05-12-2005 01:16 AM

Evidently...

Tombstone275 05-12-2005 03:19 PM

By far the biggest show in strength is Goldberg jackhammering the big show. Not only did he do it once, but he did it twice. He did it once at the Bash at the Beach royal rumble type match, and another time during the nitro right before goldberg lost to kevin nash. Also once when Kane was in his full red uniform, I remember him getting big show up on one shoulder to set up the tombstone, but someone hit him in the back to stop it. I have a video of the jack hammer... who wants it?

XL 05-12-2005 08:34 PM

Me, Me, Me!

M. Banana 05-12-2005 08:36 PM

I WANT IT

Shadow 05-12-2005 08:37 PM

We wants the preciouse.

PerfectOne 05-13-2005 04:19 AM

Biggest show of strength by a wrestler - Mark Henry lifting the front half of a car off the ground on Raw (or SD...forget which).

He is a world weightlifting champion and former olympic power lifter.

Damn dude, I thought you were joking. Anyone have video of this? I find it hard to believe that Bulldog pressed Yokozuna over his head 4 1/2 times. You'd that that would be a lot more legendary.

Hitman84 05-13-2005 11:35 AM

I'd like to see Bulldog pressing Yokozuna. How did this come about?

BigDaddyCool 05-14-2005 02:11 AM

Bigshow getting F5ed/FUed/Angle Slammed isn't that impressive because they are all just versions of a firemans carry, which is they easiest way to carry some one, which is why firemen do it, and thus the name of a move. But Angles would be the most impressive being he is the smallest of the 3 to do it.

Anyways, it would have to be Kane when he throw Bigshow out of the Royal Rumble.

M. Banana 05-14-2005 03:07 AM

The Angle Slam looks like crap on the Big Show.

I think an overlooked feat of strength is, from Vengeance 03, Lesnar RUNNING POWERBOMBED Show for Christ's Sake. The FU and F5 are impressive, as are slams, but there is technique to them. Carrying a 500+ lbs guy in a powerbomb and running across the ring with him in your arms is just brute power.

The One 11-30-2005 07:09 PM

Not a huge feat of strength, but I like Brock Powerbombing Holly after he deadweighted him.

Dorkchop 11-30-2005 07:51 PM

Hogan slamming Andre (At that time it was huuuuuuuuuge) is up there, but Goldberg giving the Giant the jackhammer and holding him up there, straight, for a few seconds is number one too me. I remember it happened on a special Tuesday Nitro. That was fucking amazing.

Also Sting body slammed the Giant at the Great American Bash in 1998. They both held the tag titles, but ahd a falling out, so the fought to see who kept the titles. man, Wolfpac Sting was the greatest. That slam was pretty impressive considering Sting is smaller than Hogan. Though Hogan's was more impressive because it was the first.

Indifferent Clox 11-30-2005 07:54 PM

if i say what i want to say i'd get flamed to hell.. those who won't get to offended private message me for a really good joke

Sting Fan 11-30-2005 08:43 PM

Yeah to me Goldberg Jackhammering the Giant is number one.

I would be very interested in seeing this gorrila press of Yoko though. Oh and as Dorkchop said Stings slamming of the Giant on a few occasions were pretty impressive considering his size and the lack of huge muscle tone on him. And the three (I think) time I saw him do it he didnt botch it and really made it look not to hard.

hb2k 11-30-2005 08:48 PM

Nobody pressed Yoko.

A Suplex or slam is a lot of technique. I still maintain that Lesnar's running powerbomb tops the list.

Funky Fly 11-30-2005 08:51 PM

Big Show was a lot lighter back when he was the Giant.

McLegend 11-30-2005 08:53 PM

No he was bigger when he was in WCW. He was 550 pounds then.

McLegend 11-30-2005 08:53 PM

:shifty:

Funky Fly 11-30-2005 09:16 PM

He's 550 now. He was definitely under the 500 mark back then. And no shifty is going to convince me otherwise.

John la Rock 11-30-2005 09:24 PM

I think Brock could probably press slam Yoko

Seriosuly he probably has never been 550. Last time he was weighed which was April which was for that sumo match he was about 500.

That could mean nothing since the scale could have been fixed, but honestly I don't think Big Show has ever been 550.

I would also say Goldberg jackhammering The Giant is the most impressive feat in terms of strength.

Cooler Tom Schuler 11-30-2005 09:36 PM

I remember the time that Chris Jericho juggled Big Show, Yokozuna, and Viscera.

It was amaaaaaaaazing.

I remember the GAB body slam looking very good. No botches or anything. I have a VHS of Sting that I haven't watched in a long time. They have a few clips of that match. I'm pretty sure they have the slam on it.
