I doubt Matt will go back, seeing he has a job with TNA basically. Unless Vince gives him one huge raise that is, money always talks (We all know this is true). But if he does not double TNAs offer, I say stay with TNA.

Rumor Killer: Matt Hardy Not Scheduled For WWE Return There were some reports yesterday that Matt Hardy may be brought back to WWE as the crowd reaction was getting to Vince McMahon. Lets just clear up all the rumors right now and say that there have been no talks whatsoever between Matt and WWE management about a return and there are absolutely no plans to bring him back at this time. TNA is currently drawing up a contract for Matt which he is expected to sign after his 90 day no compete clause expires on July 11th. He's also scheduled to work Ring of Honor as well. So again, there are no plans for Matt to return to WWE right now and the stuff that had been posted on some sites was only rumored and never confirmed. To be completely honest, Vince McMahon feeds off stuff like this and will only go further with it. Rumors have Lita and Edge together as an on-screen couple following this Monday's RAW. |

If I were Vince and or Matt, I would work out a one time deal kind of like ECW's 1st Invasion, where Matt comes and jumps the gaurd rail, Twist of Fates Edge, and gets the mic for 45 uninterupted seconds before leaving through the crowd...
Good for WWE - Brings back a little bit of the anything could happen feeling, plus it would get people talking and be a more then slight interest spike (if these rumors "mistakenly" fell into the internet)...and could get Edge over in lagit way as opposed to X-Pac way. Good for Matt - Gets to get his feelings and thoughts out, and he at least gets to say good bye to the WWE fans...and if he mistakenly said he was going to TNA I guess that wouldn't hurt either... It could never happen, and would be WAY too dangerous to actually be done, but man would that rock the shit out of anything else they could do with this angle. |

yeah Matt said he doesn't want to do the whole Hardy Boyz reunion thing. Personally i think Matt's enough of a singles star to go on his own nowadays easily enough. I think they should have a thing backstage, or maybe compete with each other to see who can outdo the other, similar to benoit/angle in late 2002 except without tagging. Matt will come back with such a huge fan following after what has happened jeff has a great following with all the teeny-boppers there that they shoulnd't be a shocking heel turn between them.

Feuding with Matt Hardy would do nothing but slow down the upward momentum of Edge and would seriously trivialize the whole ordeal. And it's almost been two months for Christ's sake, everyone needs to get over it already. The fans are pretty much chanting for Matt out of spite more than anything. This isn't like crowds in WCW chanting "We want Flair!" out of demand.

I mean, really, who bought No Way Out 2003 solely on the promise of seeing Matt Hardy vs. Billy Kidman? Or Vengeance 2004 solely on Matt Hardy vs. Kane?
