Power Rangers or Ninja Turtles
Which was the superior show?
Ninja Turtles by a landslide, also...the movies were way better as well. |
It depends which version of TMNT you mean and which version of Power Rangers you mean. The new TMNT looks good, and the older cartoons were good in their day, but the new live action version (with a 5th turtle called Venus DeMilo) you know, the ones that featured in Power Rangers in Space, sucked big time. As far as PR is concerned, I can only comment on MMPR and parts of Zeo as I haven't seen much of it past thren. I was getting older and my dad forced me to grow out of those 'stupid kids shows aimed at 6 year olds and pansies'.

This is one of the hardest choices ive had to make in a while...which might be said for me saying that...
I was a big fan of the TNMT growing up and watched all the episodes. Had all the toys that came out and even had a self made sewer for them. I had a whole bunch of Turtles stuff and was a big fan of them. On the other hand.... I was also a huge Power Rangers fan from the beginning. Watched all the episodes I could up untill it started to lose its passion. I think I might say Turtles just for the fact that I watched all the episodes of that with out losing interest in it. Unlike the Power Rangers which I eventually stopped watching toward the end of its Turbo days. |

We did have the best cartoons though didnt we in the 80's very early 90's.. I've always said, it was great to be a kid in the 80's and not a teen or someone in your 20's. |

I take into consideration popularity level, not my personal childhood memories. I loved the "Heroes in a Half Shell", but in terms of following and longevity alone, Power Rangers takes it by force. Despite how gay you label them, you can't beat a 13+ season run with Donatello's Bo. And the facts are right there for you to look up. A GI Joe/Transformers poll would've been more bloodthirsty, though.

TMNT: Constant cancellations and ill-concieved ressurrections. PR: Nonstop since it aired in Fall of 1992. Deal with it. I like Ninja Turtles, and Power Rangers. Don't really follow neither right now. But I know the general news, and I follow most of the entertainment industry's mainstream franchises. And I'm pretty damn sure the TV networks, however odd they may seem, have final say. Which in turn is based on ratings. Which in turn, is based on whoever these shows are geared toward. So before you call me a cock sucker, go find the nearest elementrary school and ask kids ages 9-15 why they prefer Power Rangers over Ninja Turtles. And my Red Ranger avy, profile pic, and team pic are of a team that never got processed for the USA. So I took liberties and crafted a TPWW identity from the never-2-B-used material. One can't really poll kids today about the shows, definitely a disrespect to both. For this specific subject you have to poll the people who grew up on the originals, when both shows flourished. Ninja Turtles was still better. :p
