What was your reaction when Matt Hardys music hit during the Edge/Lita wedding?

I was very very shocked and sat up really quickly and stood next to my tv going HOLY SHIT!

Couldnt believe it, one of the biggest pops in wrestling history right there.

Was near a state of paraylsis due to the boredom being caused by the sgement but when the music hit, I just shot up and couldn't believe it but then I realised that he wasn't coming out and went back to my coma as Lita got on the mic.

It sounded unbelievable. I'm getting stiff nipples just reading about it now from wwe.com

A "holy s%*@!" moment for me.

Then the music stopped and he didn't come out. I was then "bleh."

Just watching the video clip provided by the wwe.com homepage and i was wondering how very very messy this whole Lita angle has become.

First Lita loved Matt, Kane loved Lita, Kane humped Lita but Lita still loved Matt, Kane killed Matt and married Lita, Snitsky hit Kane and Lita miscarried, Kane hurt Snitsky then Snitksy really hurt Kane, Lita now loves Kane, Kane loves Lita still then Edge screws Matt, Lita screws Matt and then screws Kane, Matt still loves Lita but Lita loves Edge and Edge loves Lita so Edge marries Lita but Kane screws the wedding...

for the few seconds i actully thought he might be back i shot up, but the longer the music went on, and i realised it was just a work, i was really pissed off, raw was pretty good this week, but that whole segment was just bordom

But at least we didn't have to sit through Chris "Piss-Break" Masters.

Do you think there's a slight possibility they did it to gauge the reaction of the crowd so see if a Hardy come back would be sucessful?

I didnt think the crowd reaction was really that strong.

My reaacton wasn't that much. I always thought he'd be back sooner or later. Either way, I'm not jumping on his bandwagon, for Edge rules all.

When the priest said the line 'speak now or forever hold your peace' all i was picturing was Kane's pyro going off, and it being a really predictable scenario. So when Matt's music hit..... I nearly fell off my chair

I was thinking to myself would it really bother me if Hardy did come back? Sure, it'd be an awesome mark-out moment and a potential feud with Edge would be gold (at least storyline wise), but after that it'd just be back to jobbing on Raw and the odd appearance on Heat.

THe segment wasn't all that bad... In addition to the Matt thing, we also saw a Snitsky poem, an even more classless wedding than Lita and Kane's, and the look on the priest's face when Lita said her vows was priceless.

BTW, if Matt really did come out, what do you think the Matt Fact would be?

"Matt has focused his entire career around Lita dumping him."

When I was watching Kane was always my favorite, should have kept the half mask thing IMO. Anyways, my point is, they always made it too obvious when he was going to come out or interupt something.

Probably was surprising that Hardy's music hit instead of Kane's.

It was a markout moment for a few seconds. It would have been even better if he actually came out.

The bad thing being that if this isn't a work then WWE have basicvly screwed themselves over on this storyline-wise. They had Kane playing the part of Matt Hardy basicly, with the smart fans in attendance chanting for Matt. But by doing this they have made everyone aware of the situation, and this Sunday nobody is gonna care about Kane in the whole thing. By what seems like a cheap dig couldve ruined any potential momentum Kane had going into Vengence

Did anyone else laugh seeing Kane's head popping oput of the ring? He looked like a fucked up head of cabbage. The big red cabbage patch kid.

lol, I don't even like Matt. I was always a "Go Jeff! Oh, and Matt's there, too," kinda guy. But When Matt's music hit (with what I thought was a new TitanTron) I sat up straight with an "Oh, really??" goin' on.

But When Kane came up, I was like...This whole thing is degenerating into complete chaos. Soap Operas are laughing at WWE right now. We've got missing heros, angry people, disrupted weddings and everybody is fucking someone they shouldn't. Except Matt. And he got fired for venting.

Oh, and with this wedding bullshit...do wrestling fans really wonder why wrestling itself is considered "white trash" entertainment?

Anyway, this is all completely horrible.

My friends and I all got up and started screaming. I was flipping my fucking lid.

I marked the fuck out. I was half asleep during the wedding (like I usually am, and then I watch it the next day), then Matt's music hit and I was like "HOLY SHIT".

The ONLY way this whole thing will ever work now is if Matt returns this Sunday. The way things are going, this is almost turning into what looks to be a work. Whether he's always been with the company, or he's been rehired, unless he returns THIS SUNDAY, this storyline will go to shit.

I look at it this way if it's a work. The WWE could have used the Internet to get this rumor going. They probably didn't think it would take off, but it did. If this isn't a work, it is a horrible thing for the WWE to do, and stupid, too. If this is a work, though, it worked like a charm. Think about it, whenever Matt or Lita are in the arena, 'Matt', 'You Screwed Matt', and other chants break out. You can't tell me that everyone chanting that is an internet smark. Even if it didn't start out as a work, I have a funny felling that it has turned into one.

When I heard that music...I fucking jumped out of my chair. It was just....intense. But then I realized the longer it went on, the less likly he was coming out. But if this is a dig at him.....the WWE might pay for it in the end.

And Snitsky was the best man.

Yeh, that didn't make any sense. I don't think any woman EVER would want the man responsible for killing her baby to be at her wedding, never mind the best man! Talk about bizarre ways to get heat.

My favorite party was when Snitiky referenced killing Lita's baby and she laughed at it. I was like OMGLMFAOWROFL!

I was watchin it with my uncle, hes kind of a wrestling fan, i leaped off the couch and started screaming MATT!, then i frantically tried to explain the real life situation to my uncle, he got into it, then V1 never showed up. We were both pissed

I was expecting the music to keep going until the pop died down, then he'd show up for a second pop. I was also hoping, as they were backing up from Kane who was busy trying to look tough by beating up 5lb props, the would bump into Kane's new ally waiting on the stage: Matt Hardy.

Davari is the Draft pick for Smackdown. He comes down to the ring, with a bomb strapped to his chest, and detonates it taking out a large portion of the SD roster, including Teddy Long.

I dint know if anyone will believe this, but I knew what they were doing.

If Matt Hardy would have showed up I would have been shocked, but only because I expect to hear of Matt's return before a show. SO since there ws nothing on the net, I assumed they were just working the smarks.

The funny thing about this angle is that they've now forced their hand into having Matt come back. Problem is only a small percentage of the audience 'gets' the fued. From a WWE storyline perspective it makes no sense.

I think most regular fans still associate Matt Hardy with Lita. It should't be too much of a leap to get Hardy and Edge into a feud with ach other for Summerslam.

The WWE probably did it to test the waters to see how much of an ovation Hardy will get when he returns. I've always been a Matt fan, so I will mark out like a little bitch when he returns. I have a feeling the WWE has always been high on Matt, and I think if he can hold his shit together, Edge and Hardy could really help each other to the top of the business.

I was just thinking earlier that Edge vs. Matt Hardy is the type of feud where new ideas come into play. Matches like the Hell in a Cell basically run off feuds like Edge and Matt would have, and if Edge and Hardy can bring i a new concept, I think it would easily become an epic feud we will all look back on.

Just re-hire Matt Hardy already. The fans want to see it and if the WWE lets TNA get his hands on him it could be a major blow to the WWE. Hardy himself isn't that much of a star, but he's got the potential and the passion to really make himself work as a major contender for the top title somewhere. Plus he may just have the dirt to cut a juicy shoot promo, which is just the stuff ROH and TNA can really draw fans from just a little bit of a larger radius with. And besides, no one in wrestling is really seen as an icon anymore. Cena and Batista aren't even at that level yet. Now is the time companies should be letting their talent fly around, do what they can do, cut promos, etc. It seperates the Samoa Joes, CM Punks & Christopher Danielses from the rest, and right now Matt Hardy is one of the hottest names in the business, and one that can grab attention.

I read an interview somewhere with Booker T, where he said the WWE are still looking for that top star. I doubt Hardy can be that top star, but he can easily rise up with Edge and really add depth to the main event level, which is how you're going to weed out that top star from the mid-carders, lower-carders and forced main-eventers.

Yeah I'm not against them bringing him back, I thought it was dumb that they fired him, since he's actually pretty talented.

I guess I would have just rather seen him go to SD and stay away from Edge and Lita.

I still wouldn't want to be in the ring with the guy I screwed over if I was Edge. I mean do you really want to put yur health in the guys hands?

That's a good point, but Hardy will probably be under watchful eye. Besides, if things get too out of control, I'm sure Edge can handle himself.

I was in favour of moving Matt to SD! when this whole ordeal happened, too. But now the WWE have shot themselves in the foot by addressing the issue on WWE TV.

Unless they brought Matt back at Vengeance, then had him drafted the next week.

Thats why I'm leaning towards work...well not a work but they rehired Matt after they fired him.

Minor concussion

I spazzed as did my bud who watches the crap we call entertainment each week. Probably the biggest mark out moment I've had in a few years. Mom kepts yelling at me to shut up. LOl...(Shrugs)

I'm not sure they even have him yet.

Someone said Monday was a "test," and that makes sense. Though I'm not sure they don't have him either. Took him a while to react for once.

I think the best they can do is undo the firing of him, and ride the massive over-ness he'd end up with, ride the situation as though it was a work...Even if it's not.

Of course, that requires tem to actually get him...Though turning down the WWE would probably be a big mistake...Even if it means he'd be on heat in 3 months...

We all know that Vince would whore just about anything for more money, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was thinking about rehiring Hardy due to the size of the pop from teasing his return.

To me, I loved that bit of the segment, I wish I had been able to watch it live, instead of reading about it then watching the video clip.

Sucks that he didn't appear, I could have imagined Matt coming out, sliding into the ring and starting to attack Edge, they brawl for about 30 seconds. Lita's standing there, watching this unfold, Matt gets the upper hand and nails a Twist of Fate on Edge. Edge goes down and rolls out of the ring, leaving Lita alone.

Lita starts to suck up to Matt, begging for forgiveness. Matt's staring straight through her like she's nothing, and then, she hugs him. The anger from Matt's face starts to drain away. A smile would appear instead and he'll hug her as well. The crowd would boo, hoping that Matt would get revenge. Lita raises Matt's hand in the air and adknowledge that he's her man now. Then Matt turns towards her, his arm slips outs of her hand and as quick as lightning, she's snapped down to the ground by the Twist of Fate.

That would have been perfect.
