Well, not one of my faves, and I'm not shocked.

If they did release The Dudley Boys, that would be a really stupid move. Even though The Dudleys may have been stale before the went away from Smackdown!, they are still a big name, and probably the only real big tag team left together in the landscape of wrestling. If they do get released TNA would be retarded to not sign these guys, especially if they get Matt Hardy. Having a Dudley Boyz v. Hardy Boyz match is enough right there to get good ratings... Not to mention if they reunite The New Age Outlaws, TNA would have the best tag division in the US, if not the world...

If this happens this is how it would look...

Well it's just that the only time the Dudleyz ever got real heat was in ECW when they were allowed to call anyone in the crowd a little mother fucker. Take that away from them and they never eally got over as heels in the WWE. And TNA is less controversial than the WWE so I fail to see how the Dudleyz would be effective heels. Could be a good move as faces.

Well I was under the assumption that TNA going to Spike late night would make them more edgier than being on at Friday afternoon.

However, you hold a good point...my mistake.

Yes, it would be a good move, but from what I've heard TNA is broke. They don't have a TV deal till October (I think) and even then they're paying Spike TV for the right to be shown. I just don't think TNA will be able to do a whole lot right now.

TNA just can't sign anyone they want, or they'd have a lot of the other WWE releases from last year. What's Rico doing? Rikishi? Chuck Palumbo? (Okay, so I never liked Chuck, but COME ON)

But exactly who watches wrestling for the tag teams? WWE will always have the edge over TNA because it has the bigger single stars, regardless of how good tag team feuds in TNA are

The release of the Dudleys is suprising, but it does make sense.

Relative to the guys released, they probably have large contracts, they are a dead act, they've done everuything they can do in the WWE. Its just time to move on.

TNA now does have access to some more talent, but its tough to build up a major storyline around a bunch of WWE rejects.

But, if they just bring them in as new acts on the show, they'll probably get over.

At least now they've got a good list of rejects to choose from.

I can see a lucrative Eastern tour for the Dudleys, and good luck to them, they're an amazing team and one of the more entertaining acts I think the wrestling world has had for a long time. The fact they temporarily broke the ECW-to-WWF curse is testiment to that.

This assumes TNA actually has a better idea of what to them (besides jobbing them to JJ) than the WWE did. That's a huge assumption. I'd rather bet on Big Show successfully landing a shooting star press.
