!Idea! Bad NFL predictions done here
Ok, I'm sure some of you have seen those NFL commercials that are played usually around the end of the NFL season, and it is like "6 months earleir" and they have a group of fans who are making terrible predictions about the just past NFL season, anyway some I remember from last year:
-"Ricky Williams has one thing on his mind this year; and that's winning football games." -"NFC WEST? I like the 49ers." -"Gannon to Rice, Gannon to Brown all season longgg." Anyway the point of current thread is to make predictions you feel could be possible for the upcoming season, and at the end of the year I will bump this thread (if I remember, which I won't) and we can all have a good laugh at each other for being fucking stupid. Anyway this may be a silly or bad idea, but it's worth a shot. Here are some of my predictions. Also, I don't want any bitching, complaining, mocking ect. in this thread. -David Carr will be the breakout player of the year -The Rams will be the worst team in the NFC this year -The Patriots are a mediocre team at best, and will be lucky to make a playoff spot. Dunno, we'll see if this catches on. |
Are you trying to make bad predictions or actual predictions?

I think Favre's consecutive game streak comes to an end this year.
Packers play horrible against the Bears and Lions, but find some way to beat the Vikings twice. Kurt Warner takes Arizona to playoff wonderland. Doug Flutie finds a way to start a Patriots game. They win of course. Bills make the playoffs. |

THe Pats will be good, but not as good as they have been with the loss of the coaches, who I thought were the masterminds behind the whole thing. I love my Steelers and all but, if they dont get Hines signed, gonna be tough to compete with Randel EL as your number 1 WR. Break out teams this year Arizona Cardinals... and my suprise pick to win a Division.... Detriot Lions.. Also Cincy will have a better record then the Ravens.. Mark my words on that. |

McNabb will then know that 4 > 5. The End. |

I hope its not true, but for some reason I don't see Nate Burleson living up to expectations. Frankly none of the Vikings recieving corps for that matter. Again, hopefully I'm wrong.
|
The masses in Detroit will stop caring about Harrington and/or Garcia 'cause Kevin Jones will tear everything up
|
The Lions will finally break through. I think the Vikings might (MIGHT) win a couple more games and win the North, but Detroit will be a wildcard threat. With a healthy receiving core and Kevin Jones playing consistently well, Detroit's offensive unit will be one of the best in the league. And as long as they don't have to play huge percentages of the game (as they have the past few years), the defense will also come close to playing to their potential.

Ty Law was the missing puzzle piece for the Lions.
LOL, I hope Joey plays the entire season, because Joey will never make the playoffs. And ROFL, the packers lost half their offensive line, and like half their team is holding out. |
Quote:
:-\ Packers will be lucky to be battling the Lions for second. Perhaps Farve should have retired last season. Even with the lousy Playoff game being his final game, it may be better than this season where he looks to be throwing a lot more picks and taking a pounding. |
NFC North is gonna be retarded this year. Bears had a legit shot until Grossman went down... now they're "eh". It would be a huge upset if Minnesota didn't take the North. Green Bay's gone to shit this year, and Detroit's still got a ways to go before they can even contend.
|
Grossman is very overrated. He's like Charles Rogers; nobody knows what he's capable of because he can't stay healthy. I mean, he did well in that game against the Vikings when he got hurt, but I saw him play the week before (maybe against the Lions or Packers) and everything he threw was a softball, even from 5 yards, they floated like marshmallows. It was horrible. And rather inaccurate, as well.
|
Yeah I'm not saying he's like this great QB that Chicago NEEDS to win or anything, but I mean without him, look at their options. Hutchinson? Orton? I dunno. If they don't get their QB ish sorted, and Benson continues holding out... gonna be an ugly season in Chicago.

The Broncos will not finish last. I guarentee that.
|
That's what I've been saying, and I may be biased, but come on.
Oakland may have good offense, but aside from Woodson, really NO defense. Who knows which Kansas City we'll see this year. The good or the old San Diego, I swear last season was luck. How can Brees be consistently bad, then just get good out of nowhere. They'll do good, though. There is NO WAY Denver finishes last |
Quote:
He's young. He was in like his third or fourth year, and trained harder in the offseason. That's how. But I love how two posts in a row in the "BAD NFL PREDICTIONS" thread stated that Denver won't end up in last. |
Derrick Johnson has been doing work for KC and they added good players to their secondary. They could be serious this year
|
What's the deal with Sammy Knight? He's not old. He's pretty goddamn good, and he was an undrafted free agent. Which means, he's worked his ass off to get where he is. Why does he keep getting let go? I never get how some players just can't stick with one team.
Also, dunno about Kendrell Bell. It would be so hot if he lasted an entire season and tore shit up. |
I don't understand why the Kansas City offense is good. I mean I can see them being good with players they have but the numbers they put up as a team are ridiculous
|
Vermeil.
Also, that offensive line is fucking sick. LOL at the Saints getting rid of so many amazing players over the years, yet still blowing hardcore. HARD. CORE. The difference between Dick Vermeil, and Jim Haslett. |

Look at the Chargers first 9 games. I could easily see them going 2-7 or 3-6. They had a flukish season last year where almost every break went their way. It won't happen two years in a row.

You know Denver does more than just cut block, right?
And wasn't the rule only changed to penalize cut blocks away from the play? |
Don't lie.
FUCK, the Vikings suck. :'( |

LOL

Wow I would be so pissed if a crap team did that to my team. Instant hate for that franchise.

I wouldn't say that the Chargers were a fluke or will choke this year, but I can't imagine them being as good this season. First, isn't Gates holding out or something? Then they just won't be able to sneak up on teams.
I think they are a very good, very powerful team. Brees isn't a fluke, Tomlinson is dominant, and then Keenan recieving, they have a very serviceable offense. Clearly a better team then Denver. It's hard to say if Denver will finish last, but I will say that if they do it is misrepresented because of the conference setup. Really Kansas City, Denver, and Oakland are all toss ups. |
K here's my predictions.

DrA, do you wish to die?
|
The Niners will not finish in last place.
|
The Chargers are clearly a better team than the Broncos? I don't think so. The Broncos smacked them around in Denver and very nearly beat them in San Diego.
|
I dunno, it just seems like Denver has been on a slow decline for the past couple years.
|
I think they're on the upswing. They went from 9-7 in 2002 to 10-6 in 2003 and they went 10-6 last year. This team is still pretty young too. BTW, if they would have pulled out that game in San Diego, they would have won the division. The Chargers and Broncos would have both been 11-5 and the Broncos would have had the tiebreaker.
|

Quote:
Denver SHOULD have won the division EASILY. Starting with Griffin's fuck up against Jacksonville.... Then Denver fucking up against Atlanta.... Then the blocked potential game winning kick against Oakland... And I don't know what the fuck happened against the Chiefs the second time. But then again, that's pretty much they way Denver always is. They have more than enough potential to do it, they just can never...y'know....do it. :'( |
Yeah that Charger game sucked. The Broncos D owned Brees and Gates and they still couldn't get it done.
|
LOL bad breaks. Jesus christ. Broncos lost because they weren't good enough. Everyone suffers bad breaks. Like, sometimes teams lose one of the top 5 CBs in the game for the season. Then they still win the Superbowl. DUNNO.
|
I don't think bad breaks were what caused the Broncos to lose that game but it certainly played a part. Seriously, like FS said like 2 or 3 of Jake's picks bounced out of Broncos players arms right into a Chargers players arms.
|
They need McCaffrey back
|
Eddie was the man. Wouldn't have dropped those passes from Jake.
|
lol, I remember those old McDonalds or whatever commercials with Eddie locked in a locker from when Denver won one of their Super Bowls
