Dusty Rhodes has just arrived at WWE Headquarters. The former World Champion is scheduled to meet with Stephanie McMahon. WWE.com will have more on their meeting once it concludes.

Anybody Thrilla 08-03-2005 03:10 PM

He probably just got lost on his way to the 'pay winduh'.

Kane Knight 08-03-2005 03:14 PM

What the fuck?

WWE obviously saw the gold Dusty made when he was booking TNA. Destination X, mmmmm pure genius!

God I felt dirty after typing that.

Vince had grown tired of success.

Kane Knight 08-03-2005 03:27 PM

This is a pretty good way to inject a dose of poison into the WWE.

Shaggy 08-03-2005 03:31 PM

No offense to The Dream...but I dont want him on my tv anymore..

Maybe if I wouldnt of watched TNA I would want him on TV but after seeing him week after week on Impact I got tired of him....no more please...

WHY VINCE WHY!!!!!

I swear that Vince has a recycled bin for all his old angles, and randomly selects one idea from that bin every month for him to recreate.

SuperSlim 08-03-2005 03:43 PM

things are just getting sadder by the day

CharismaInjection 08-03-2005 03:45 PM

Vince is trying to get as many wrestlers from TNA as he can because he sees TNA as a threat and wants it to go under, so he's stealing TNA's wrestler.

TNA a threat? What? You're so far off the pulse that the pulse is a dot on the horizon to you.

So why is he stealing DUSTY RHODES?

Chavo Classic 08-03-2005 03:57 PM

He's planning to put a little saddle on his back and ride him like a horsey.

Kane Knight 08-03-2005 04:09 PM

You mean a piggy, right?

Crashnburn 08-03-2005 04:09 PM

Johnny Ace: "Vince, what are we going to do now that Lesnar has walked away from the negotiating table?"

Vince: "We're going to bring in somebody bigger than Brock! We're going to bring in the American Dream Dusty Rhodes!!!"

Johnny Ace: "You're a genius, boss!"

Dusty was fired by TNA months back. And as a matter of fact, his booking/writing was hurting the product. So hiring Dusty to do anything except maybe be the company janitor would be good for TNA. So quiet, you.

Gone Mad 08-03-2005 04:12 PM

People love nostalgia... that is until you see those actually returning. Some of these guys look like a mess. I mean, come on, Dusty Rhodes???! I guess the Nickelodeon writers need whatever they can to come up with a wrestling show, huh? Huh?

..I can't wait till next week when they bring back REEEEPOO MAN! :shifty:

Chavo Classic 08-03-2005 04:14 PM

If there was a thread yesterday where we could suggest who the WWE might want to bring back in the events of Tatanka's return on Monday, then someone suggesting that Dusty would return would have been met with cries of laughter.

But instead, it's for real.

To be fair to Dusty, even when he was young he was a mess. So its not like he fell out of shape.

Gone Mad 08-03-2005 04:48 PM

Well, I know he's never been in shape. I'm saying in general of returning superstars.

Disturbed316 08-03-2005 04:54 PM

Bollocks.

blake639raw 08-03-2005 05:03 PM

I think it's about the Hall of Fame. I had heard a while back that they wanted to induct Dusty and Bret next year, so that's probably all it is. I don't know, I don't think Dusty would be a bad color commentator, ala WCW.
He could go to SD and commentate, and Tazz and JR could do RAW.

Dave Youell 08-03-2005 05:13 PM

Bret Hart
Dusty
Tatanka
Matt Striker
Brock Lesner

Hmm What's the connection? Why Vince, what are you thinking? Cos that's a fucking terrible stable

He did, however, fall into less shape.

LK 08-03-2005 05:42 PM

What's the deal with fat people having talks with the WWE. Tatanka and now this fat fuck who is just awful and needs to go away.

CYCLOPTERSAURUS 08-03-2005 06:05 PM

Sad...

Dusty deserves a HOF spot. But commentary? Seriously, no.

He'd be like Jim Ross with a lisp.

"Tougher than a two dollar theak."

The One 08-03-2005 07:41 PM

You know, WWE.com failed to report it, but I had a meeting with headquarters last week. They are considering me for a writing position since I wrote a comic book strip for my Middle School new paper...but then they found out I enjoyed wrestling and I was asked to leave.

kinglacoste 08-03-2005 07:44 PM

He might came back as Golddust Sr. and tag with his son to make a run at the tag straps.

Kane Knight 08-03-2005 08:15 PM

Tag fags?

Volchok 08-03-2005 08:20 PM

Dust and Dust, Fag 'N' Tag

SuperSlim 08-03-2005 08:28 PM

that idea is crazy enough to run by the creative teams mind and actually come on TV.

Angelina2K 08-03-2005 08:38 PM

Probably just about the HOF, and wwe.com reports to um, 'one up' all the other internet wrestling sites.

Anyone wanna play Captions with the WWE.com supplied pics?

Bad Company 08-03-2005 09:33 PM

Well we might get to see a retun of Goldust!

Loose Cannon 08-03-2005 09:54 PM

probably for one of those 'Legends" contracts like Piper has

Well, for what it's worth, Flair claims in his book that he thinks Dusty would've been a great booker if he weren't an on-air performer back in the past.

Esoteric 08-04-2005 02:56 AM

He is going to be the new manager of Batista, he is going to teach him how to work the mic using a lisp.....he is also going to have him wear that polka dot outfit from Dusty's WWE run....but more importantly he is going to save the Batista, JBL match at Summerslam by betraying Batista. Batista after a 20 min boring match is going to Batista bomb JBL, but Dusty is going to run in and give Batista the bionic elbow thus knocking out Batista for 5 minutes and allowing JBL to win

El Santo 08-04-2005 03:42 AM

My guess is Dusty was at the WWE HQ either for Hall of Fame arrangements... or to help the WWE put together a Dusty Rhodes DVD.

Eunos 08-04-2005 04:18 AM

I immediatly too thought this must be Hall of Fame related.

Bret than Dusty?.. After hearing that JR offered these 2 places this is more than likely what it's all aboot.

PullMyFinger 08-04-2005 05:19 AM

The ironic part is WWE is going for TNA's scraps and cuts as of late. Kid Kash and Dusty Rhodes potentially.

Yeah well evidence says that he isn't very good at the old booking game given his efforts with TNA.

He also claims Bret Hart never drew a dime.
