What was the last REALLY GOOD movie that you saw?

Or, if you saw more than one movie at once, like a string of really good movies in the same basic timeframe or something, list more than one.

For me, in the last couple of weeks:

21 Grams - so ****ing good.
Big Fish - really good too.

Vega 01-21-2004 03:37 AM

Probably Return Of The King.

#1-norm-fan 01-21-2004 07:03 AM

I don't remember seeing a REALLY good movie since Punch-Drunk Love. This isn't a great time for movies.

The Rundown was great but I wouldn't say REALLY great.

The Lord Of the Rings not included (seeing as nothing else compares to it.)

I'd have to say Matchstick Men was the last great movie that I saw.

SuperSlim 01-21-2004 09:32 AM

The Ring, Fight Club

The Mask 01-21-2004 09:33 AM

loopydate 01-21-2004 10:37 AM

The last movie I saw was Cold Mountain, which was really good, but the last FANTASTIC movie I saw was Big Fish.

AareDub 01-21-2004 10:37 AM

Of course I have to mention Return of the King. I watched Matchstick Men a few weeks ago as well. I'd have to say though, that the last REALLY good movie I saw was Adaptation.

Adder 01-21-2004 11:00 AM

I'd say Last Samurai.

The Mask 01-25-2004 09:42 PM

saw big fish today, good times.

The Mask 01-26-2004 01:52 PM

and today I just saw adaptation on DVD.

asjfdoasjdas I LOVE THIS FILM.

favourite film i've seen thus far this year i think.

El Capitano Gatisto 01-26-2004 01:58 PM

Recently I watched Donnie Darko and Welcome to Collinwood for the second times each. I enjoyed them both more second time round, for some reason. Especially Donnie Darko, since I liked it first time but didn't think it was exactly worth the hype, but for some reason second time round it seemed worth all the hype and a bit more.

The Goonies was on last night too, pretty good. Of Mice and Men was on too, great book and great adaption of it. Pretty heard to buy John Malkovic as a freakishly strong mentally handicapped fellow.

Dragon 01-26-2004 09:39 PM

I watched Goodfellas earlier.
