When they gave Edge the match, management was so high on him. Then came the whole Matt Hardy thing and Vince saw the opportunity to make money so now he's tied into that now. I don't think he'll be getting a shot anytime soon if Cena drops the title to Angle unless Edge goes face which might be hard for him to do right now and I hope to god that he's not headlining wrestlemania. Maybe they'll take him out of the number one contenders spot by having him in some type of stipulation match where winner gets to be number one contender and he loses.

We just pretend there is no briefcase now, MITB never happened, no, no it didn't I would clearly remember it if it had happened, which it did not.

He's past it. All of his intensity is gone. The WWE has a way of pushing guys they want within the first two years, if they didn't push him then, they're not going to push him now. He's done. He has a good a chance of winning the belt as Jeff Hardy did.

They're not pushing him? What? He's just been involved in one of the biggest angles of the year (probably the only angle in years to break WWE kayfabe - and the WWE doesn't like to do that much) and he's also guaranteed a title shot in the next 6 months.

I personally like Edge. Granted, I lost a great amount of interest in him when he lost his personality, but he appears to have got some of it back. Come on KK, you must have enjoyed the Street Fight they had on RAW.

Edge will NEVER carry the company on his back, but I see no reason why he couldn't be a top player in it. The guy is capable of great matches, and he is capable of getting face and heel heat when he needs too. Watchign his 2001/2002 days, I cannot believe how over he was. It's a shame he got injured, because he was on track to being the top babyface.

Edge isn't what he used to be on SmackDown!, but he's still had great matches, and he's cut some excellent promos. When his feud is done with Hardy, I expect him to cash in his MITB Title Shot. I doubt he will win the title from whoever he challenges, but he would easily make for a great filler opponent at a PPV like the Royal Rumble.

There was such a buzz about him coming back after the first draft too. His personality got lost in a vaccuum somewhere though - watching old Raw tapes make me realise he has got charisma (bags of the stuff actually) but he needs a gimmick to bring it out, or at least try to squeeze as much as he can out of what he's got currently.

I also enjoyed his match with Kurt Angle. That doesn't make him good, just his opponent. Unless he's stuck with someone capable, he's no entertaining in the ring. The Street Fight's a piss poor indication, because it was less a wrestling match and more a bunch of spots.

But you know he can work a match without spots though surely - I mean look at the TLC matches.... or the MITB match at Wrestlemania! He's so versatile he can fall off ladders ranging from seven to fifteen feet! Now thats talent

Indeed. His versatility knows no end. From the MITB match which Shelton owned, to the street fight which was a technical masterpiece, to TLC matches where he carried 5 men through great ringwork...

And let's not forget the diversity he brings in his acting skills...
