Just wondering if anyone else has seen it? I am referring to the CZW match from April 14, 2001 - 'Sick' Nick Mondo & Jun Kasai vs. Johnny Kashmere & Justice Pain.
The match has been dubbed 'World's Most Violent Match' to the more suited 'Most Violent Match in North America'.
I was amazed throughout the match by the punishment all these guys took but my jaw dropped fo the floor when i saw the sick bump Kasai took. I'll say that if you have a weak stomach you DON'T want to see this.

Ok just a few thoughts after watching that fuckcluster of a match.

1) Who the fuck hired that commentary team? Talking over the promos and yelling out 'this will end in murder'. Give me a break. Although they weren't wrong when they said 'this is disgusting'.

2) Who the fuck hired that camera man? For the first five minutes I didn't even know there was a wrestling match

3) Justice Pain doesn't seem too bad of a grappler. He wrapped that STO on pretty well and the short intervals of wrestling were done seemlessly.

4) Nick Mondo - kid, you have no sense!

5) Ok, so that guy has lost his elbow. I'm not kidding. He's lost it. There's nothing there. You can't stitch that up - because there's no flesh left. And then you're going to tape it up so you can continue to wrestle? Kid - you had no sense either.

6) Even the DDTs and the German Suplexes looked unsafe. You wanna be a wrestler kid? Well don't go to CZW. Because you'll either be thrown into a hardcore match and lose your elbow or be thrown into a casual wrestling match and lose mobility in your neck because this dickhead wants to literally drive your head into the mat with the DDT.

7) The Backstage scene. Ouch! Now the adrenaline has gone, you're going to be in a world of pain. That was unnecessary. I really dont want to see a zoom on that guy's elbow. I'm a wrestling fan - not a medicine student. And the poor kids who witnessed the guy leave the locker room - well, there goes your innocence.

All in all, it made me long for the clean cut WWE. Hell, I'd even watch Chris Masters over that pile of crap. There was no psychology in there whatsoever. No story was being told. There was one pin attempt and that ended the match. You'd think they'd slow it down in parts to emphasise the action in parts. I had to pause the video and come back to it every 5 minutes as not to be overwhelmed.

Seriously, go back to wrestling school - no forget that, because your wrestling school taught you how to do that! Go see Dory Funk and beg him to make you a real wrestler.

Woah it sounds like most of you have never seen CZW before. Most main event matches are like this (minus the bone sticking out of elbows).
But remember i said main event. All the mid card matches are good wrestling matches. Please remember that CZW is not all this stuff. However if you liked this match I may upload some even more sick stuff from CZW.

I've seen some CZW on the Wrestling Channel. There was this young grappler pretending he was a college student and brought a ceg to the ring and having everyone drink from it. He climbed the turnbuckle to execute what I thought was going to be a devastating manevour (he looked the cruiserweight build) but he fell off purposely and the announcers laughed: "Ha ha, he's so drunk".

I was just :wtf: and turned over. Seriously, thats not wrestling. Its skinny kids who probably dropped out of wrestling school being beaten up by disgruntled old garbage wrestling veterans. I should have known what to expect from an organisation which calls itself combat zone wrestling and has a show called fake you tv :nono:

But apparently he already knows more about wrestling than you do.

Don't judge CZW by the little you've seen. They've had some really good matches with guys like M Dogg 20, Petey Williams, Teddy Hart, Homicide, Jack Evans, Ruckus, Ric Blade, Sonjay Dutt, Josh Prohibition, etc.

I'm not. That Justice Pain guy looked decent in the ring when he wasn't coating the mat in glass. I'm sure there are decent wrestlers in the federation and thats the biggest shame. Just like Corkscrewed said...

I just dont get it. I've only heard of several wrestlers in that list provided because they're on TNA, where they have greater mainstream exposure and dont have to sacrafice their elbows. They should take a page from Mick Foley's first book...

This can be applicable to every wrestler in that video. I couldn't really give a shit if Nick Mondo broke his neck in that match - the only people who would have are the hundred or so 'fans' in that gym (and even then a day later they would have forgotten about him when the next suicidal wrestling-school drop-out comes along to CZW willing to do anything to become the next Zandig). So re-evaluate your career. Because Nick Mondo: you can't do that every month.

Mondo is retired now. He has gone through a lot worse than that. You should see his match against Zandig where two of them go off a 30 foot building through tables and light tubes. I will upload it. Or even the Weed wacker to the stomach, I can upload that too. Mondo now works at blockbuster video store. He retired after winning the tournament of death 2.

Well if CZW toned down then they would go out of business. they have built their reputation on having the sickest matches on the planet. And if wrestlers are going to be a part of it, then why stop it? There's a market there, guys want to do it, it should be stopped just because you don't like it?

I know I'd rather watch M Dogg 20 and Sonjay Dutt in a CZW ring than watch John Cena on Carlito's Cabana. CZW fans care about good wrestling matches.

When they write his obituary I hope they include the bit about him being King of the second Death Tournament, and that he went on to work in Blockbuster.

I've asked Mondo about money. He said that they get hardly anything. Most of the guys have full time jobs and just do CZW on the side. Some do it for fun, because they like wrestling or maybe just for the experience.

Btw he retired because his body couldn't take anymore. No one expects to get rich off of indy wrestling. I'll keep watching guys doing corkscrew 720 flips through tables while you watch John Cena vs. JBL in a 5 minute main event in a promotion where moonsaults (yes, the move 5 year old kids do) are banned.

Maybe that's why the average career span of a WWE wrestler is longer than a few years.

Most of the guys wrestling in CZW probably couldnt even feel pain becaue of the rush of adrenaline through the match. Anyone can do that shit. I've played half an hour of semi-pro rugby with a shattered wrist and didn't even feel it until I was in the players' bar 2 hours later.

I watch WWE for those wrestler also. However wrestlers like that seem to be getting less air time and wrestlers like Cena and JBL seem to be getting more.
I remember watching Wrestlemania 21, Smackdown's main event: Cena vs. JBL in what couldn't have been more than 6 minutes in one of the most boring matches I've ever seen in my 13 and a half years of watchnig wrestling and i thought to myself: What the fuck is this?

I will keep watching CZW and not just for the deathmatches, but for the good wrestling matches. Yes, they exist, I suggest you have a look for yourself.

I was working out with a guy (a "vet") I give him a waist lock suplex, after we hit the mat I spin around his body and grab a front headlock (you see Angle do it all the time) well one of his hands was out were it shouldn't be and my knee landed on it. It drove his finger nail though his finger. He gets out of the ring screaming and crying and shit and I'm just laughing 'cause I know it was his fault. Any way long story short he went to the hospital, missed three shows, and cried in front of a group of his fellow wrestlers. PUSSY! Lets see him go though a table of light tubes.

Each CZW event has about 8 matches. ONE or TWO matches are like that. the rest are like ECW mid card matches. Sonjay Dutt vs. JC Bailey, M Dogg 20 vs. Josh Prohibition, Jack Evans vs. Homicide, Teddy Hart vs. Petey Williams etc.

...and as yet all you've harped on about is 'how great Mondo is'. Upload some of these 'other technical' matches and restore your credibility.

I mean I've actually taken someone's advice to download some of Nick's matches and watch them and I downloaded quite a few. KNow what I found? A lot of wasted tables and broken light bulbs that could be used elsewhere and a lot better than just being broken.

CZW is so wasteful with materials it's sad.

It is like watching an action movie where there is no story. A movie where just stunt doubles pretend to hit each other for two hours. Except these guys (CZW wrestlers) are being paid significantly less and are actually mutilating their bodies.

I've seen this clip before. It's New Jack versus the big one from the Baldies (his name escapes me at the moment) in a scaffold match.

Which is exactly my point... this guy dives off a scaffold and puts his life on the line for the satisfaction of wrestling fans and I can't even remember his fucking name.

While I can't comment on this particular match seeing as I don't feel like downloading it... especially since I disslike everyone in this match... minus Nick Mondo. However I must say that I do enjoy the occasional death match when they are well done. For instance I love Arsenal vs Sexxxy Eddie mainly because it had some innovative spots and wasn't simply two guys hitting eachother. But I would never call it a good wrestling match. One thing I do not like about CZW is how all the garbage overshadows the great workers like Mike Quackenbush, B-Boy, Chris Hero, El Generico etc.
