The power of RAW's ratings
The power of RAW's ratings
This week, Monday Night RAW brought the power of 4 million viewers back to USA Network in prime time. Monday Night RAW drew a 4.7 rating (up from 3.2 last week on Spike TV), according to the latest Coverage Household Ratings information. That’s 48 percent higher viewership. RAW climbed to a 5.0 as Stone Cold Stunned the entire McMahon family. It was a segment that reminded WWE’s fans just what USA programming looks like. The three-hour spectacular also featured the anticipated return of Triple H, a crowd-pleasing WWE Championship Match, an incredible Ladder Match, a show-stopping WWE Iron Man Match and a showdown between members of the RAW and SmackDown rosters. WWE Homecoming showcased unparalleled star power that included Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, Mick Foley, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and a host of WWE Legends. The buzz from the show lasted throughout the night, and its ripple effect led to WWE.com's biggest traffic day in recent history. USA Network enjoyed a marked ratings increase in the time slot now re-occupied by RAW; WWE’s 10 p.m. hour delivered household numbers that tripled the average for programming airing there the prior four weeks. “The successful return of Monday Night RAW was a great team effort between USA and WWE,” said Gary Davis, WWE Vice President, Corporate Communications. “We wanted to create a phenomenal debut for our fans, and the viewing public responded in a big way. We greatly appreciate that support. It's good to be home again on USA.” CREDIT: WWE.COM |
Impressive numbers, I hope this is the beginning of a trend for the WWE.
|
A 'crowd-pleasing WWE championship match'. That shows you how bad that match was when they resort to comments like that.
Not surprised at the ratings, glad they actually pulled it off. |

WTF are you on about sadistic?

Wanting the WWE to do well some how means I don't want competition?

Erm no, if anything its the best thing for wrestling industry. If the WWE starts doing good busienss again, wrestling will hit another boom period, which will make companies like ROH more popular.Right now wrestling isn't as cool as used to be, if the WWE gets that feeling back again, it can only have a positive affect for the industry.

Fuck WWE, it's TNA's time to shine. WWE had their chance and all they did was ban moves and give us shit PPV after shit show after shit storylines.

From your doosh bag comment here, you are implying that once people start watching the WWE, then that's it, they got them. And these viewers can never watch TNA because the WWE has then locked. think before you post please. |

how high were the ratings during the monday night wars?
|
I believe the "This is Your Life" segment got as high as 8, not sure on that though.
|
In WCW's dying days, they were pulling about what Smackdown does now.

After all, that's what all CZW fans want to do, right? |

Tell me this, how many CZW matches on a show, on average, isn't a spotfest or a garbage match? How many technical matches are there?
|
His answer will be unrealistic and you know it. He is a CZW mark (wow a mark for a whole company,) he is incapable of making them sound anything less than infallible.

Ironically enough, he doesn't think WE appreciate wrestling.

How did a thread about RAW ratings end up being a discussion about how bad CZW sucks? Fuckn Sadistic.
|
Because Sadistic said something retarded that didn't make sense. Much like he always does whenever he opens his big mouth in the wrestling forum.

Allow me to repeat that. How many CZW matches ON A SHOW isn't a spotfest/garbage match. Not a DVD, and not a fucking tournament or special show. A regular CZW show.
Isn't it sad that I have to use the term 'special show' when talking about a normal wrestling event in CZW? |

A REGULAR SHOW. You know, the ones where they DO have spotfest matches and one (according to you) garbage match? Ones that they do on a weekly/monthly basis...
You're not going to argue with me because you can't come up with a good looking lie to my question, is that it? |
ok, let me pick out a typical CZW show at random:

Thing is: I actually witnessed more wrestling manoeuvres in that Diva match than I did in that ultra-violent death match you uploaded. I even consider Ashley ripping Torrie's skirt off more of a wrestling themed behaviour than some dude smashed a lighting tube over another dude's face

Another thread which sadistic has turned into a CZW arguement and ruined. :n:

Lol, Wifebeater. That faggot stole my gimmick idea.

well..that clearly makes no sense whatsoever. |
Anyone think sadistic should be banned? I'm getting tired of these CZW threads.
|
I dont think Sad' should be banned, he should just learn to shut up about CZW. No-one cares or is going to listen. End your crusade Sad'
|
But he wont shut up will he?He's had enough chances now,I would've thought.
|
What do you expect? Look back, I never bring up CZW. Whenever I make a comment about WWE, TNA or wrestling in general, some idiot compares what I say to CZW.
|
Yes but then you argue against all odds to prove that you're right, when everybody is telling you YOUR WRONG.Got the message yet?
