K, this is the official thread for TPWW's online league. It's a little early, but lots of people are pretty pumped for the game, so whatever. So like I said in the main thread for the game, I'll make a list of all the online players TPWW has and we'll see how we're gonna do shit.

There should be at least a basic ratings system to stick by because if everyone goes for the World Title it could end up being first time CAWs vs Main Eventers.

Should be something like:
Title Rating
World Championship 90-100
US/UK Championship 80-90
Lower Title Name 70-80
Tag Team Really anything

That type of thing. Those are completely rough numbers I'm just trying to come up with something.

Of course we could let lower ratings challenge for higher level titles but this way it kind of keeps it even. If the lower level pulls off the win then they can defend it and everything. This just makes it so it's not a first time CAW with low ratings compared to Angle or HHH for example.

i'd say the less titles the better, make them more valuable so not everyone has one.
Just a heavyweight, midcard, tag team and some sort of gimmick belt (hardcore i guess) would be enough imo

if there's not too many people then scrap the midcard one

we also need to agree on how they will look and who's gonna make them... we should probably start deciding the titles right now

I am liking DS' point system idea, we just need to track wins/losses, add points for wins, and deduct them for losses.

How about we get a GM? Someone who can get online but is willing to not take part in the actual title matches and will organize everything fairly, don't know how that will work out but I may as well get the idea out.

yea, definately like 4 (maybe 5 w/ European) Titles. Hardcore is a must because those matches are so much fun.

And I like that point system DS. Works for me.

And personally speaking im not to anal on the design of the belt so whatever someone wants to make is fine by me. The point system seems like a good idea.

I'd say 4 titles, don't know about anyone else though.

Instead of having both Intercontinental and Europen, we can just have one midcard title and give it an original name

those don't have to be the names, but I think those should be the titles. I don't see the point in splitting up the midcard into 2 titles for 2 continents(North America and Europe). Do you guys agree?

You can watch other people's matches by making it a triple threat or fatal fourway and just staying outside the ring can't you?

To crown the champs, I think we should just do a random draw using the numbers in LC's post, and have a series single 1-on-1 matches untill a champ is crowned. If you end up winning the title, you are out of the next tournament till the tag, so if you don't win one belt, you get a chance at another. Plus, it will stop one guy hogging all the gold to begin with.

we shouldn't allow double champions, period.

I agree with that. I was thinking about it then tossed it aside at the fact that someone could be tag team champion and hold another belt but then again we don't have many people and it could make for some interesting turns if someone wanted to drop the title for a single title run.

I kind of like the double or triple champ thing though. Come on, Lance Storm was the man with 3 belts around him.

Like I think if you're a Hardcore Champ, you can also be a tag champ and the midcard champ.

But you have to drop those belts, except the tag, if you win the World

Just like real wrestling.

I duno, Belt hogs might make it boring, cuz if one person is generally better than everyone, then what's the point right? Everyone will just keep losing to the same guy, at least we'll have variety of titles and chances if you can only hold one at a time.

I think storyline wise it would be cool if I invaded with a hardcore title and took your fed to the extreme.

Will the UK players be allowed to connect to the North American servers though? In Madden you couldn't play people in europe so maybe it's the same for this game.

What if we had belts going by each weight class? Superheavyweight, heavyweight, welterweight, cruiserweight, and mixed?

There should be big title matches every month like PPVs.

Before we even start to think about big matches every month and such we should first solidify the basics like how many belts and whom is actually going to compete.

Shit, completly forgot about not being able to play Americans. Reasons you couldn't play us European's in Madden was because they took the fucking mode out of the PAL version :mad:

It's not possible. Something to do with the hertz on european tv's that are different then Northa American ones or something....I'll try and get the info in a bit.

The actual PS2 machine doesn't adapt to it but xbox's can. All in the design I guess.

Well ive been watching the boards for a while and been waiting for the right time to make an impact..and i think ive picked the perfect time.

btw i *might* hook up my PS2 to my computer... I have to play with driver settings to get it to work propelry since my video card wasn't meant for playing video games, there's a delay but i can fix it

I'm only gonna if you guys actually want Screens and Videos (not too high quality) from matches, and of the titles and shit, and if nobody else can do it.

I'll do it for sure if people start using Digital Cameras to take screens of the belts :nono:
