What is the Best Wrestling Promotion?
WWE?
TNA? ROH? What ever the other ones are? I am really just doing this because I want to know what other wrestling promotions are. Anyway, which one is the best? |
CZW is probably the best one out there
|
Yeah, if you want to see the best technical and psychological matches in the WORLD, you MUST see CZW.
|
If you have yet to see Madman Pondo in action, you've never seen wrestling the way it was meant to be.
|
sometimes I like to imagine myself just being the towel boy for the CZW Superstars and I swear there's just nothing I'd rather do with my life
|
Where should I go to see CZW matches? Can I download them anywhere?
|
I'm not sure, but I don't consider anyone a loyal fan of wrestling until they've seen CZW.
btw, we have a poster on here named Sadistic that once commented he pulls his little pants down and starts jerking it during the CZW shows. If that's not dedication, I don't know what is. dunno if that's true or not though. I think he's bullshitting personally |
LOL
|
I heard that Sadistic likes shoving kendo sticks wrapped in barbwire and covered in shards of broken glass. Why? Because there is no pleasure like...
HARDCORE PLEASURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
The best promotion is:
WWE if you enjoy television, no matter how lousy. the WWE will always have a TV deal most likely, and they tour nationwide pretty often. They're like old faithgul, they're there whether you're a fan of geisers or not. RoH If you're into a smarky show with little exposure. I'd say more, but my experience is limited with RoH, mostly because I can't be arsed. TNA if the only thing you're looking for out of wrestling is "an alternative to the WWE." The overall product quality is rather, well, shite. They are capable of phenomenal matches, which furthers the disappointment at their mediocre output. It's like booking Eddie Guerrero vs Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit vs Bret Hart, only to have a thumb wrestling battle royal. It's a surefire way to blueballs. CZW if you missed Owen Hart's Death and for some reason want to watch it, or think "real" wrestling is about trying to cause the most bloodshed possible, or stole my "Sarcastic underground smark" gimmick. |
KK basicly covered it. Ill go more into ROH since he doesn't really follow it. ROH is really more wrestling based. They do have some really great angles but they try to keep the main focus on the wrestling which in my opinion is a good thing.
As far as the best, its all opinions really. Personaly for me i enjoy roh the most. |
Pretty sad to see how everyone judges CZW based on the one match/spot they've seen.
If that's the case then why don't wee judge WWE on one match? Let's s pick a wrestlemania main event. That's fair right? Let's choose Smackdown's wrestlemania main event for this year: the 5 minute epic between Cena and JBL. Wow WWE is amazing. If you want to see good wrestling I'd say TNA, ROH, CZW and old ECW tapes. If you want to see 'funny' gimmicks and storylines watch WWE. If you want to see garbage spotfests watch CZW, BJPW, old FMW tapes. |

Plus, it wasn't the main event.
|
You're also forgetting that on the Same card the WWE put out HBK/Angle. What you fail to realize, Sadistic, is the WWE caters to as many people as possible. For the fans that like gimmick and characters, JBL/Cena. For the fans that like wrestling HBK/Angle. And there's more, but I'm lazy. You just want to see the style you like, and thats it. There are more people who were entertained by the Cena/JBL "epic" than any CZW, ECW, TNA, or FMW match that has ever been. And thats a fact.

Don't judge a promotion on one match. |
So what you're saying is you're a hypocrite?

Of course not. But thanks for being stupid. (BTW, most of the people postong about CZW are directly mocking you to get a rise. Thanks for obliginh). |

I would have said RoH was the best but it just hasn't done as much for me these last few months as it did when it during its first two years. TNA reminds me too much of 1999-2000 WCW and CZW is an XPW wannabe(and that's a very bad thing). In overall wrestling quality, RoH is still king in America though. The entertainment edge goes to WWE, TNA is a poor-man's WWE on a good day.
After all that my vote still goes to RoH. Ignore the pointless ranting. |
I didn't contradict myself in the slightest. If you want to see great wrestling watch CZW. If you want to see garbage spotfests watch CZW.
How is that a contradiction? CZW offers both. Something for everyone. |

It all comes down to the type of wrestling you like
ROH if you strictly want to see strong in-ring work. TNA if you want to see a combo of fast-paced innovative wrestling and storyline. WWE if you are a blithering idiot. |
I chose one match to judge a promotion on because that's what you were doing. I was acting as a mirror so you could see the stupidity of your own posts. Understand now or does it need a little more explaining?
|
Where was I doing this? I question you're ability to read. No wonder you like CZW.

Name one post where someone said "I only ever watched on match of CZW, it's the worst ever!" Anywhere in this thread.

WWE is the #1 promotion, overall. No questions asked. Good night
|
Dragons Gate
Established characters, good mix of "entertainment" fantastic wrestling, and an innovative and exciting 6 man tag division. |
I take that back about WWE being the best
GCW is the #1 promotion right now |
GO WWE! YOU'VE GOT THE BIGGEST NAME IN WRESTLING TAKING ON THE COACH! THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!
|
In all seriousness, if you want storylines with matches, go WWE.
If you want matches with storylines, see TNA. If you want guys killing themselves for the sake of killing themselves, see CZW. |
If you like hot and sweaty manlove watch XPW.
|
Here's a better analogy:
The WWE are a pop star. Think 50 cent. They have slick production and huge name recognition behind them, though they tend to lack substance where it counts to people who don't look to wwrestling for the presentation alone. They dominate the "charts," and they are the names people think of first. TNA is the less popular cousin. they're not as flashy, not as pretty, and not as slick as the pop stars, but they've got a following. Like the White Stripes, they're not pushed solely on talent, but usually more as an alternative to mainstream wrestling. there are some brilliant acts who fall into this category, but we get the White Stripes and JJ instead of the X-Division. RoH is the dance band you tend to see at the local clubs, and maybe hear about by word of mouth. You can't catch them on TV, so you've kinda gotta be somewhat "inthe know" or regionally situated to find out about them, but they have a loyal following and fans swear by their quality. |
Right now I prefer TNA over WWE

This is kinda odd, but maybe you (everyone) should try and do a name + first thing you thought of thing. i.e. for myself. WWE - Stone Cold TNA - AJ Styles ROH - Pure Wrestling CZW - Insane Spot Fest By doing this it shows that whenever I think WWE i think of the past, of the good old days when the WWE were in they're prime. I think the rest are self explanatory and I also can't be fucked doing it. :-\ |
I demand a poll.

JD hit it right on the spot. The most glorious promotion that there is, where blood sweat tears, and mom's sandwiches IS STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT!

Forgot their flawless production value and innovative marketing techniques.

Has everyone forgotten about Chikara? I mean they have Dragon Dragon after all

"Buy 1 wrestling get 1 wrestling free". That's probably the best wrestling promotion I've seen.
