If it's a way for them to repackage the character, then that's not a bad way to go about it.

So the WWE keeps a bad joke running for a long period of time, LONG past when it is overdue to be over, they tell him to be in this joke character's mindframe almost 24/7, they barely let him do what he is trained to do, and what he really wants to do with his life (wrestle), and they blame him when he can't hanle the pressure.

I hope this just a work, and they use it to play a "Nick Dinsmore vs. WWE for making him do that stupid gimmick" feud. Dinsmore is so talented, and it's going all to waste.

you guys say they should "just kill the gimmic", but eugene will always be retarded in my eyes. his gimmic has left such a bad taste that unless he masks up (ala. Isac Yankem/Kane) people would never properly accept him as anything other than a joke. look at terry "the red rooster" taylor. he was a good wrestler with a horrable gimmic and his career never evolved. Steve Lombardi was another joke.

The story on Nick 'Eugene' Dinsmore is that he passed out and was
hospitalized following the Raw show Thursday in Manchester. I believe
the company is going to send him to rehab, probably somewhere in
Kentucky. At any rate he is under that impression according to a close
friend. They have fired guys for a lot less but Dinsmore is well liked
in the locker room and considering all the drug-related deaths in recent
years it's probably the kindest thing they can do for him. The fan
reports that he was in bar fight appear to be untrue. His future with
the company will be addressed soon.

He should come back at them with a law suit

I know this is beating a dead horse, but if he passed out and such... well, that just raises more eyebrows towards what his moral had to be for him to be like that. I doubt he'd be doing any performance enhancing stuff, since it wasn't like a push depended on it. Makes it sound like he was just plain depressed about playing a retard and drinking away his sorrows (or drugging away... whatever it was).

What a pity.

Eddie passing could have lent a hand in it as well. We don't know how close (or not close) Nick was to Eddie.

Didn't need to be close, Eddie should be a wakeup call to anyon with half a brain (And let's face it, even his CHARACTER had half a brain). These guys routinely abuse themselves, end up injured, hooked on drugs, drunk, or burned out, and that's got to take a toll, especially on someone playing a RETARD.

Not to make assumptions but Eugene was known to have drug problems when he was out at OVW a few years back.

a guy getting into a bar fight doesn't mean he hates his character. the dude he "fought" (nobody knows yet?) cold've been harrassing him FOR his on-air role. you don't really need a reason to get drunk and stupid. everyone in here only gets drunk because of their job? come on, guys

It's all a work. The 'drugs' that caused Eugene to passout will also magically 'cure' him of his condition, that way he can return to the ring as a 'normal' person. This also let's them explain why Eugene has been seen out of character in public, as the WWE can just say that it was the drugs. It's a win win situation for everyone.

Besides, I do find it odd how they acknowledge his real name and not just refer to him as Eugene. Seems like they would'nt reveal his real name if they get mad when he reveals his real personality.

Erm, that idea leaves a lot of questions in its own right. I mean Eugene was "special" before Regal was ever introduced to him according to the storyline and all, but a bigger question than that would be how the fuck would Regal know that Eric would force HIM of all people into training Eugene and being his manager?

That would be the same thing we'd be doing for the other guy's angle. And actually, Eugene wasn't around AT ALL before Regal returned. It was Regal we saw first on that night. Your story just seems to have just as many problems (at least) as the other proposed story that was made. Props on being creative and all though.
