Official Monday Night RAW™ Thread 11/21/05 - "RAW vs. SmackDown!"

Batista leads the charge November 21, 2005

With just one week before the Survivor Series pay-per-view, be sure to tune into RAW tonight on the USA Network (9/8 CT) as Eric Bischoff and his Superstars come to you from the United Kingdom.
This week, Team SmackDown captain Batista leads his team of Randy Orton, JBL, Lashley & Rey Mysterio into RAW. What does The Animal's team have in store for their Survivor Series opponents? Watch RAW to find out.
In what promises to be an instant mat classic, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle will take on his former associate Shelton Benjamin in one-on-one action. Shelton broke into WWE under Angle's tutelage, but did Angle teach him everything he knows?
Just six days before his showdown with Triple H at Survivor Series, Intercontinental Champion Ric Flair will square off against Trevor Murdoch. Will the "Dirtiest Player in the Game" be able to handle the double-tough former World Tag Team Champion?
Also, Divas will collide when Candice Michelle goes one on one with Mickie James. Don't miss all this and more tonight at 9/8 CT on the USA Network.

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 09:18 PM

Where is everyone this week? :(

loopydate 11-21-2005 09:18 PM

Good start to the show. That's how you explain away an injury.

James Steele 11-21-2005 09:18 PM

I dunno. I didn't read the spoilers (despite major temptation).

Yeah, I think that could give Batista a good amount of time off.

"What's wrong with Batista?"

"He got chokeslammed through a windshield by The Big Show and Kane."

"Oh."

BigDaddyCool 11-21-2005 09:20 PM

gayest start to a Raw yet.

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 09:23 PM

Before the show, Vince thanked the fans on behalf of the Guerrero family, btw

punt 11-21-2005 09:25 PM

They ought to give Murdoch a slogan, like "You got a purty mouth" :D

BigDaddyCool 11-21-2005 09:25 PM

what the hell is that match about?

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:26 PM

Just saw Team Sheep's sign.

To build up Flair ahead of Sunday. ;)

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:27 PM

wow, Flair actually made it off the top.

punt 11-21-2005 09:27 PM

Flair had to have someone to beat, so HHH will come out and do something at the end

BigDaddyCool 11-21-2005 09:29 PM

that raw sucks...probably because the last one was so good. Why couldn't some one else die?

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:30 PM

and there's Captain Pissbreak himself.

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 09:31 PM

I actually find HHH entertaining when he's not hogging the title.

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:32 PM

Hmm, when he keeps it short, the promos don't totally suck the life out of everything. HINT HINT WRITERS!

punt 11-21-2005 09:33 PM

Oh, don't worry. He will be hogging it again soon enough.

Savio 11-21-2005 09:34 PM

agreed link

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 09:34 PM

I think I'd actually prefer him to Cena right now.

BigDaddyCool 11-21-2005 09:35 PM

awesome, the wrestling god is about to cut a promo!

punt 11-21-2005 09:35 PM

Nice shirt

I dunno if HHH is champ that takes away the possibility of cena becoming heel soon.

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:44 PM

and now a masterpiece that doesn't involve an overblown full nelson...

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 09:45 PM

Fuck, they didn't show my sign.

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:45 PM

DAMMIT HASSA...ER DAIVARI!

BigDaddyCool 11-21-2005 09:46 PM

greatest ref ever just showed up.

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:46 PM

What was the sign?

loopydate 11-21-2005 09:46 PM

 Did Vince really think that Daivari would draw huge heel heat overseas?

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 09:47 PM

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:49 PM

Proboscis, huh? Joey's busting out the 50 cent words tonight.

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:52 PM

Holy Crap! That DDT was sick!

Savio 11-21-2005 09:56 PM

Davari makes me miss hassan and his woulda be existant title reign.

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 09:58 PM

When the hell did Daivari learn English?

He could always speak english, plus farsi.

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 10:00 PM

Did he speak English when he was with Hassan? I thought he only spoke Farsi at that point.

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 10:02 PM

Maria.

He was Hassan's translator. Ergo, he needs to be able to speak English AND Farsi. ;)

Vazz 11-21-2005 10:03 PM

Oh god i'm blind... snitskey.... :|

The Greater Power 11-21-2005 10:04 PM

lol at this segment

BigDaddyCool 11-21-2005 10:04 PM

well at least things picking up...the hell is the boogey man?

Dorkchop 11-21-2005 10:10 PM

DAIVARI IS AWESOME! I'm glad WWE kept him.

The Cena gay jokes aren't funny.

HHH vs Val Venis next. I can't wait to see Venis get the pedigree in 16 seconds.

KingofOldSchool 11-21-2005 10:13 PM

That would've been funny if one of the fans told Cena that he sucked.

Linkbowler 11-21-2005 10:14 PM

That guy can seriously spit some water.

Johnny Vegas 11-21-2005 10:14 PM

What is the point of HHH matches nowadays? <s>HHH & Stephanie</s>The bookers must need someone to fill up time

There were Cena Sucks chants all night, shame this isn't live.

Dorkchop 11-21-2005 10:16 PM

I've noticed Venis is on every Raw they do in Europe.

Dorkchop 11-21-2005 10:16 PM

HHH can't even have a god damn match against Venis.

KingofOldSchool 11-21-2005 10:17 PM

Who let Val get in some offense?

I think he likes coming here, so they always give him a match.

I heard those chants, I just wish someone said that when Cena shoved the microphone in their face.

Dorkchop 11-21-2005 10:25 PM

Candice Michelle vs Mickey James came on just in time for me to feed my cats.

Skippord 11-21-2005 10:26 PM

I think I just filled the cup

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 10:26 PM

I got bored and just worked out that Val Venis hasn't had a clean, 1 on 1 victory on Raw for 735 days. Shame. :(

May 26, 2003 - RAW: Val Venis defeated Steven Richards with the money shot!

His last 1-on-1 victory on Monday Night RAW.

Mike the Metal Ed 11-21-2005 10:33 PM

Since that Stevie Richards match, he holds two victories against Rico, and one against Test. Whether these were truly one on one or not I don't know.

loopydate 11-21-2005 10:35 PM

 Now MNM will be taken off TV since they were dressed in black in England...

Xerzes 11-21-2005 10:39 PM

*Maria appears on screen*
Me: WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE A JOB?!
*Maria moves the microphone to the side*
Me: Oh, right. Those.

loopydate 11-21-2005 10:41 PM

I'd rather watch a Maria interview than a Candice Michelle...anything.

KingofOldSchool 11-21-2005 10:55 PM

Someone needs to tell Masters that the point of him being a lumberjack is too jump his enemy when they get thrown to the outside, not just stand there taking up space.

Dorkchop 11-21-2005 10:59 PM

Lashley and Masters shouldn't be there. At least Lashley has some talent. There better be a stand off between Lashley and Kane.

V 11-21-2005 11:02 PM

i saw someone holding a tpww sign

Dorkchop 11-21-2005 11:02 PM

That JBL big boot was sweet.

KingofOldSchool 11-21-2005 11:07 PM

I marked out like a little bitch when Tista came out.

CYCLOPTERSAURUS 11-21-2005 11:16 PM

I wonder why Helms wasn't on. I hope his "push" isn't already over.

As did I.

Corkscrewed 11-22-2005 12:45 AM

Surprised there weren't any comments regarding Trish being bound and gagged. Maybe I was the only one who found that hot... :shifty:

Jaton 11-22-2005 01:08 AM

Perhaps I was the only one who found that segment so horrible.

Ohhhhh

I thought they were saying CM Punk!

No wonder i was getting some weird looks when I jumped on my chair and did the crossed arm thing

Londoner 11-22-2005 01:20 PM

Wtf, only 2 pages?LOL.Shortest raw thread ever, though it was a good raw i thought.

Team Sheep 11-22-2005 01:22 PM

I guess it doesn't really have the same feeling to it when it's taped.

Londoner 11-22-2005 02:57 PM

Why don't us lot in the UK get it live when its in the uk?It just doesn't make sense...

Nervous Ferret 11-22-2005 03:02 PM

Because then you would be getting it before me, and thats a big nono

Team Sheep 11-22-2005 03:06 PM

If it were up to Sky, then we probably would. But I think (this is just me thinking now) that we have to get it at the same time that the WWE give the live feed to the USA Network. And probably because it has to match with the USA's timeslot, seeing as we are 5 hours ahead of EST.

There was some major heat for Cena in Sheffield, lots of "Cena Sucks" chants...
