I haven't really followed or watched wrestling in like four years so updating the site doesn't really interest me, but I hate seeing it go to waste like it is. It still gets like 3,000 different unique visitors a day somehow despite the fact that there hasn't been any regular updated content in months.

So uh, I dunno. Someone spit out some possible ideas for what to do.

Get some reporters who have a personality. Also who report news frequently, unless you're the one posts the news while they just send it to you.

well I can update a shit load of stuff on that front page that's outdated and add some new sections like TNA. And I'll get some guys here who I know would do a good job. But is there a way I could actually do it myself, so you wouldn't have to go in there and be the one changing everything?

Triple A would have to give you FTP access unless the newsboard is a CMS, in which case everything can be edited in a browser.

My answer: Have someone steal news from other sites, and get some people like The One and Kayfabeman writing columns. Maybe even some more comedy pieces (like x number of things you do when watch to much wrestling, like that but different gimmicks.)

*In depth Title history

*In depth Wrestling Profiles on guys

*Updates on all that shit on the front page (Trivia, Q & A)

*Updates or Reviews on Wrestling Products (figures, belts, DVD's, etc..)

*A page dedicated to the history of stables

*More Games/Contests for people to play

*Tribute sections for deceased superstars (and we could put random comments about them from readers of the site)

*And then news, results, columns and all that stuff being updated.

So where were you all this time, LC? Or is AAA to blame for this one?

I always thought that we could go with a 411 mania type set up, and I'd be willing to help, of course.

Not to sound cynical or anything, but does it really matter if we start updating the site. I mean, the main thing on here is the forums, eeryone on here goes somewhere else for news and when news was posted on here, it was from somewhere else. IDK, I don't mean to sound like an ass, but I don't really see a point in starting to update again.

When I first came on here it was for themes, then I started checking out the news.

This place for a long time was my number one source for wrestling news till Trips lost the love. If someone keeps the news bits up to date, maybe people will start using it again more often.

Plus i'm sure he'll make more money from the adverts if more people hit the news pages compared to the forum.

Trips, any idea when you are going to make your mind up about this?

I am volunteering to proof-read any articles/columns that wish to be submitted. I am also volunteering to donate more wrestling theme music. Lord knows we need some more, and this would save on bumping/recreating a wrestling theme thread in the forums.

I remember when I first started looking at wrestling on the internet, in about 1998, TPWW was THE premier wrestling news site on the net. It was my major source of information.

It's quite sad to see it fall into a state of disrepair like this, and to see the godfather of internet newsboards, Triple A, give up on the wrestling business and his own creation, TPWW.net. It's like the rot thats set in to the wrestling business has spread so far down the chain that it's a shame.

Where's the passion gone? If wrestling doesn't interest you anymore, remember the days when it did and turn TPWW.net into the nets premier RETRO wrestling website. Reviews and features from back in the day, retrospective columns, just a tribute to the classic days, the glory years, the old-school website.

Or how about give everyone who has applied, one week each to proove themseleves as worthy news reporter's sort of a X-Factor/American Ido, give's everyone a chance and whoever does the best job, give it to them.
