Yeah, thought I'd make an official thread instead of a reminder thread since I bet a lot of people forgot/don't even know about this...

Don't miss The SmackDown Special on UPN Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 9 p.m. ET when one-half of RAW's World Tag Team Champions, Big Show, takes on SmackDown's Rey Mysterio.

With more than 325 pounds separating these two Superstars, this match is sure to be a David vs. Goliath type of contest, just as it was when Big Show and Rey Mysterio battled back at Backlash 2003. The events that happened after that match can never be forgotten. With the helpless Mysterio tied to a stretcher, the giant Big Show picked up the stretcher holding Rey and swung it like a baseball bat into the steel ring post. The immobile Mysterio then fell to the ground face first.

Can we expect the same out their upcoming match Tuesday night at The SmackDown Special? Or will Mysterio, who has dedicated the match to Eddie Guerrero, find a way to topple the giant? Find out Tuesday on UPN.

Okay, so let me get this straight. Rey asks God to send Eddie Guerrero to be his guardian angel? Sure, it's inappropriate, but they've built the two up to be like brothers, so I'll let it slide.

But to have Rey saved by...

God damn, I'm usually pretty laid back about this kind of stuff, but... :nono:

Two run-ins back to back. A cluster fuck is when a plethora (usually the whole locker room) come down and brawl, with no story being told other than "they are brawling." A run-in is when a guy (or a few guys) run in and interfere. Subtle difference, but there is one.

As almost offensive the Eddie thing is, I think the fact that he is still apart of the show after his death is nice. And I'm not sure Eddie would be offended by that.

Yeah, Loopy explained it well. Watching it, I believe it was all done in a horrible manner. I mean, a so-called tribute match for the late Eddie ending with Taker, the Dead Man, supposed blowing up with Eddie's car?

sometimes I have to laugh when I see people calling shows like this a crapfest, when it's like what did you expect from them? Were you actually expecting something totally different from what they showed. Did you not expect a couple run-ins to occur? Did you not expect Orton to get involved? Did you expect the match to end with Rey over coming the odds and beating Show when clearly they have no intent of pushing Rey that hard? They do the same thing all the time. It's not gonna change.

It's like you've never watched a WWE show before.

Step back and think about it for a second. The commentary, the "David v Goliath", the major run-ins at the end. This special was to hook in more casual fans, who might be channel surfing. The way everything was explained, c'mon guys, I can't be the only one who sees this. I know some of you are upset about the Eddie/Lowrider/Deadman/etc stuff, but look deeper. This was set up to hook in the marks/casuals for this Friday's SD!. The whole ending was a big WTF? for the marks/casuals to generate interest. It was all a big plug to draw in non-traditional viewers.

The hell Taker doesn't do it right. Refer back to the first or second RKO he took when Orton first challenged him for WM21.

I actually thought that Taker was one of the best people that sold the RKO as he kinda dives down as though Orton drags his head down..I dunno just kinda something i noticed that was different (well..besides tonite's RKO)

That was an interesting finish to the show. I wasn't really offended, but I don't think that Eddie's lowrider was the best thing to use to try to "kill" someone.

I do understand that this show was meant to hook in some more casual fans. They were building up Rey as if he had never faced someone of the Big Show's size, and with some of the commentary was to be more explanatory.

That Big Show/Rey match was actually pretty entertaining. I'm sad that it had no ending.

I really enjoyed the show and it wasn't offensive to me at all...
