Who has been the more popular champ since WM21
I would probably have to say Batista. He was struggling to get reactions around the summer but since his feud with Eddie, the fans have been going more nuts for him. Cena does still get a good reaction but the boo's he got in some of his PPV title matches kinda makes him less popular than Dave.
Your Thoughts? |
Can't remember Dancin' Dave getting booed since he has beeen champ so got to go with him.
|
I've never heard Batista being boo'ed, with Cena it's a weekly thing.

WWF

'Tista.
|
Batista. You can hear the lack of pubic hair in Cena's reactions.
|
Batista hands down.
LOL - Just did the poll and its 9-0 to 'tista. will be funny looking at the final score |
In Cena's defense though he has feuded with more liked people since coming to Raw then Batista has.
It is Batista though. |

In all honesty, John Cena would get booed in a feud with Triple H. |

Cena is the only champion that has ever made me hope that Triple H gets another title run.

Has this turned into another Cena bashing thread?

Also, batista. I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about him. |
it's batista
batista has not achieved extreme fan popularity like cena but he does'nt get booed like cena actually smackdown fans r loyal than raw fans they just wanna sht cena outta the title
|
Big Dave. His reactions are always great, and everybody in the arena is cheering for him. With Cena, the only people cheering are teenage girls and children.
|
27-2

I think Cena has been a more popular champ... Then again I make it a point to watch Raw every week, and I watch SmackDown when I can.
However, I like Batista more than Cena. I also like opera more than Cena. I also like it when it burns when I pee more than Cena. Moral of the story- I don't like Cena. |
John Cena has the highest highs, but the lowest lows in term of fan reactions. Batista has been more consistently cheered, thus I voted for Big D.

God Cena could have/still can be the man if they used him right. When he was "getting over" he had airtime, he was rapping weekly, he did silly things like "deez nuts" and he got to the point where he was more over than anyone in a long time. Then he started doing the whole "real recognizes real" and gay crap like that, now you would never know he was the champ until the last 10 15 mins of RAW. He's the champ for pete sake, the show should revolve around him. I don't blame anybody for booing him when all he does is come out and "kick ass" for a few minutes, then, end show. :?:

Good God man! Julie Andrews could out freestyle him! Anyone remember when he told Eddie and Chavo the 1980's wanted their hair cuts back, but both of them had a buzz cut? Yeah, you tell me Cena really free styles and I'll tell you I'm sober! |
I think the fans see that since Batista has become champion he has been improving in nearly all aspects (moves, mic, storylines, personality etc).
Whereas Cena has remained exactly the same and has made no improvment at all (same moves, gay jokes, catchprases etc) |

Batista! Cena was very good as a heel but now he's just overrated and gets booed a lot. Put the title on anyone else please.

I'd say Batista, hands (or should I say thumbs) down.

Batista has been the more popular champ since WM21 imo.
Like somebody said before, Batista at least tries to be a better Champ with improving alot of things that were pretty bad. And at this point, i enjoy watching Batista more then watching Cena, but i would like to see the title on somebody else....somebody like Benoit, Randy or even Matt Hardy, but Matt as a WWE Champ won't ever happen. |
I think it's been Cena. And I don't think it's fair to say that he isn't trying.

Oh...and they should tell him that he is white 2. |

Cena is definitely trying and it definitely shows. He does everything possible to be cheered but it just doesn't work all the time. Just like Rocky Mavia. |
Cena has a lot of passion for what he does. Like him or not, I can't see how anybody could deny that.
|
Cena tries, but the fans slowly wanted a change, but WWE refused and Cena got stuck in the middle.
|
I voted Batista. Had this been done around the summer, I definitely would have voted Cena. Batista never really got booed, but he did things that irritated me, such as "you.......you...............you need an attitude adjustment!" But big Dave has improved and still gets loud reactions. Cena however is getting initial pops but now booed on a weekly basis.
|
I think this weeks Raw speaks for itself
|
Dancin' Dave. He is making huge steps in the right direction. In the year 2005 I would say that Tista was easily the most improved wrestler from WWE, or any promotion for that matter. To be fair his two biggest fueds this year were with Hunter (who could teach/carry a broomstick to a great match) and with Eddie Guerrero (who could have a great match with a bowl of pudding).
But take nothing from him, Big Dave has done a fucking great job this year. |
Now don’t get me wrong I cant stand Cena. At the moment I do not find him entertaining and I haven’t for a long time.
But since Batisita is on Smackdown there is less “big-name” superstars for there to get excited about. With the losses of Eddie, Christian and Hassan there is less wrestlers for the fans that go to see Smackdown to get excited about leaving the fans to save all their energy until Bats comes out. But Cena has to compete with Angle, HHH, Edge, Flair, Show, Kane. Jericho (when he was there), HBK, Carlitto and appearances from Vince and Hogan. But having said that regardless of which show they are on Bats would still be more over |
I voted for Batista, because Cena just doesn't do what he used to to get himself over. We liked him because he freestyled every week. This week was the first time in a long time that he came out and "freestyled" in some way. That's why he got over.
Batista has just continued to do what he did to get over...be a wrecking machine! |
