Movies you've walked out of

What movies have hated so much and hit the old dusty trail for?

Personally, I walked out of the remake of Psycho with Vince Vaughn and the remake of the Producers very recently. Strange how these films were both remakes of classics.

The Icon of Elisim 01-22-2006 03:27 PM

Never walked out of a movie but I rented Pollack and turned it off cause i thought it sucked

Boondock Saint 01-22-2006 05:39 PM

Never.

The Mask 01-22-2006 06:16 PM

i came pretty close to walking out of the day after tomorrow, absolute shite.

The Greater Power 01-22-2006 06:16 PM

I've never walked out on a movie, but I've fallen asleep during Star Wars Ep. 2

I'm not saying it's overrated, but I just really don't get into that sci fi kind of stuff.

i saw some 60 year old ladies walk out of the 40 year old virgin after about 20 minutes

Triple A 01-22-2006 06:49 PM

I walked out of The Brothers Grimm. I felt like walking out of it after about five minutes but I stuck it out for like a half hour and then couldn't take it anymore.

That movie was fucking HORRENDOUS. God.

Also felt like walking out of Hero like 92735 times.

And Serenity.

Mike the Metal Ed 01-22-2006 06:55 PM

Cinema costs too much to walk out.

Bad Company 01-22-2006 07:10 PM

Panic Room

Downunder 01-22-2006 07:29 PM

I drove out of Hot Shots (it was at the drive in), I fell asleep during Mission Impossible, and turned off Kingdom of Heaven.

Shadow 01-22-2006 07:49 PM

Never walked out of nor fallen asleep from a movie.

But I barely payed attention to Shrek 2

Buzzkill 01-22-2006 08:01 PM

Never. I only see good movies.

Blitz 01-22-2006 08:04 PM

Fell asleep during Highlander: Endgame.

Fox 01-22-2006 08:13 PM

Sorry, I don't pay ten dollars to go see a movie just to walk out.

I pay ten dollars to go see a movie and bitch about it afterwards.

AareDub 01-22-2006 08:14 PM

I walked out on SWAT

Loose Cannon 01-22-2006 08:15 PM

I enjoyed that movie. Awesome heel turns midway through.

Ive fallen asleep during Pirates of the Carribean and SWAT

Triple A 01-23-2006 04:23 AM

The Brothers Grimm and Serenity I was only there because friends wanted to see them, so it was real easy for me to not want to watch that fucking shit.

Hero I wanted to see but it just made me real angry because it was fucking bullshit. Hated that fucking movie.

Up here in Massachusetts, nobody walked out of Fahrenheit 9/11. In fact, everybody gave it a standing ovation afterward. Pure bliss, lemme tell ya.

Chavo Classic 01-23-2006 10:31 AM

I've only ever been in a cinema once where people applauded at the end. It was Home Alone and fair play it deserved an applause but I found it a bit strange to clap a projector screen.

On the other hand I spend most of my weekends clapping/yelling at football and rugby players on a smaller screen.

Same thing happened in my ridiculously absurdly conservative hometown in Michigan when I saw it. 'Course, then the state went and re-elected the guy, anyway.

I've techincally walked out on a movie once, but I don't really count that. When I saw "The Bourne Identity" the first time, I wasn't feeling very well, and all the whip pans and shaky camera work made me nauseous, and I had to leave the theater and just go home. Went back after I was healthy again, though, and I absolutely love it now.

I just don't go to see movies that I don't think I'll enjoy. Yeah, from time to time I'll have to sit through something that wasn't as good as I was hoping, but I always try to find some reason to enjoy it. And, usually I do.

Except with "A.I." I couldn't wait for that shit to end.

And Diesel Mac is right. "Serenity" was an amazing movie. My favorite of 2005.

D Mac 01-23-2006 04:20 PM

Wondered when you'd ring in loopy. :D

McDoogle 01-23-2006 04:21 PM

I walked out of The Incredibles but not because it was a bad movie but because I had an emergency to attend to.

Yours, Mine, and Ours. Me and GF. walked out and um... "hung out" at the mall

MVP 01-23-2006 05:36 PM

I never walked out of a movie, but I really wanted to walk out of Alexander.

I hated Serenity BTW.

The Mask 01-23-2006 06:10 PM

oh actually yeah, i walked out of charlies angels 2 because i was pissed as a fart and i kept passing out and the plot made about as much sense as mulholland drive to me

The Mask 01-23-2006 06:11 PM

more fool me i actually went back to make sense of it all too.

After Episode 3 every one applauded. I guess that means Star Wars > Bush. Dunno. Anyhow I haven't ever walked out on a movie, but I really wanted to walk out on Apollo 13.

Triple A 01-23-2006 08:45 PM

I don't know. Serenity is not my kind of movie at all. I really hate sci fi shit and I didn't want to see the movie in the first place, but went along because my friends wanted to see it. I ended up falling asleep like 972853 times during it.

Everyone said this movie sucked. Me, liking these kind of movies thought no way could it be as bad as some people said. When it came to theaters here, I didn't get a chance to see it. I did however BUY it when I was at the video store last month. This movie might be the very worse I have ever watched.

samichna 01-24-2006 12:32 AM

It really says something about a film when the Director's Cut is shorter than the theatrical release.

Switched that off after 20 minutes when I got it out on DVD. It was fucking abysmal.

MVP 01-24-2006 01:17 PM

I vowed never to watch Van Helsing again after I saw it in theatres. Terrible.

PorkSoda 01-24-2006 01:19 PM

I wanted to walk out of Pirates of the Caribean, but I didn't. That movie sucked.

FourFifty 01-24-2006 03:45 PM

I walked out of Waiting & Wallice and Gromit in the same night.

Disturbed316 01-24-2006 04:28 PM

Never done it.

XL 01-24-2006 07:30 PM

Never walked out but fell asleep in a multitude of films!

Red Dragon
Troy
Alien vs Predator
Collateral
Life Aquatic

probably loads more but this was probably less to do with the quality and more to do with the fact that as a film student my lectures were in a film theatre and lectures made me sleep thus cinema equaled place for sleeping!

I once stopped a dvd! It was the Fantastic 4 that got made (so the studio wouldn't lose the rights) but not released! God that was awful!

Danny Electric 01-24-2006 07:37 PM

You nearly fell asleep in one of the Lord Of The Rings movies. I think.

XL 01-24-2006 09:22 PM

Are you following me?

and you can't blame me on that one LOTR was one long ass film!

Silent 01-24-2006 09:36 PM

Me and my mom walked out of some crappy animated movie about Penguins or some shit when I was a kid.

And I fell asleep during Men In Black II. Mostly because I hadn't got any sleep the night before though.

Boondock Saint 01-24-2006 09:58 PM

Yeah well MIB II sucked, so it's ok.

Impeccable 01-26-2006 04:28 AM

Yep, Most dissapointing sequel I have ever seen. :(

KillerWolf 01-28-2006 08:00 AM

i should have walked out of a 'made for TV movie' , a 'TBS original' if you will, which somehow made it to theatres and was hailed a masterpiece by unscrupulous movie critics. a movie called "Land of the Dead".

toxic rooster 01-28-2006 08:32 AM

I walked out of that terrible fucking movie with that guy from Dawson's Creek in some secret university frat thing, I forget the name of it

LivingDead 01-28-2006 08:34 AM

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

toxic rooster 01-28-2006 08:34 AM

Oh, the Skulls was the name of it. Fucking terrible.

Fell asleep for about 10 minutes in the middle of Wedding Crashers too, and managed to pick up the plot from there on. Good movie, but like an hour too long.
