There’s already a blockbuster lineup of matches announced for a special Thursday Night RAW (9/8 CT; USA).

The Rated-R Superstar will attempt to regain the WWE Championship in a match officiated by John Cena’s hand-picked referee: Mick Foley. Edge earned the rematch thanks to a controversial disqualification victory involving Lita. Can Edge seize the moment and become a two-time world champion, or will Foley be raising Cena’s hand in victory? We’ll find out on Thursday night.

In semifinals of the Road to WrestleMania Tournament, Triple H battles familiar rival Big Show, and Chris Masters takes on Rob Van Dam.

Triple H and Big Show have squared off at New Year’s Revolution and during the Royal Rumble Match, but the stakes will be high on RAW with a spot in the finals on the line. In the recent past, the Cerebral Assassin has pulled out all the stops to neutralize the size and strength of the largest athlete in the world. Will “The Game” find a way to win again, or will Big Show get some sweet revenge and advance in the Tournament?

“The Masterpiece” has never experienced the pageantry of WrestleMania, but the rising star is only two wins away from having his WrestleMania debut come in the main event for the WWE Championship. Meanwhile, RVD has patiently rehabbed an injury, itching to get back to action and into the championship hunt. Will the “Whole Dam Show” overwhelm Masters, or will he find himself trapped in the Master Lock like so many others? Watch RAW on Thursday night to find out who’s going to the finals of the Road to WrestleMania Tournament.

In addition, one of the greatest Superstars in WWE history will have his career come to a screeching halt during a “Mandatory Shawn Michaels Retirement Party” ordered by Mr. McMahon. HBK isn’t likely to be in a partying mood and anything could happen.

I forsee the party being interrupted by somebody representing the "Board of Directors" who don't want Shawn Michaels to retire for the good of the WWE (ratings, buyrates etc.) That interrupter could well be the new Raw G.M. appointed by the Board because Vince was taking too long to hire somebody (Dusty Rhodes maybe? Even Eric Bischoff?)

By the way, what happened to this brand new entrance music Big Show was supposed to be getting?

No there's no Unlimited tonight, which sucks because it's still live everywhere else except USA

Nah we get Unlimited in the UK, we just don't get the webshows Velocity and Heat anymore, 'coz we still get them on Sky Sports on the weekend, so I suppose the advertisers were pissed off that we could watch Heat and Velocity (if we actually even WANTED to) before they were shown on TV, costing them viewers.

This match sucks and the crowd is not really into it at all. Wonder if the ol' Sound Sweetening machine will be wheeled out in time for Thursdays showing, complete with age-old shots of the crowd pumping for Cena and booing for Triple H back when they actually cared about him.

That was a huge pedigree.

WWE.com has blocked the UK from watching unlimited and Heat/Velocity because Sky where complaining that it took away people that would watch heat/velocity on the Sky tv stations.

DARK MATCH

(1) Val Venis beat Doug Basham with a Money Shot.

HEAT MATCHES

(1) Kane beat Johnny Parisi (a/k/a Johnny Swinger) in a squash in 90 seconds.

(2) Tyson Tomko & Gene Snitsky beat Chris Hammrick & a partner.

(3) Goldust beat Trevor Murdoch. Bad match. Too long. In the end, Goldust set up the Shattered Dream. Goldust waitied and milked it, then Trevor rolled out of the ring. He rolled out of the ring and refused to return, thus was counted out. Goldust then bowed to the fans in celebration as if he had some classic match. Crap match. Really bad.

(4) Viscera beat Rob Conway.

RAW BROADCAST

(1) Big Show and Triple H wrestled to a double countout, so both are eliminated. They wrestled 14 minutes! Bad match. Really slow paced. The crowd popped big for the intros, but once the match started, crowd heat died. Show bled. He kicked out of a Pedigree. Triple H choked out of a chokeslam. They brawled at ringside slowly and were sloppy in spots. They ended up counting both out. They teased that an announcers' table spot with Show chokeslamming Triple H, but they didn't do it. Triple H escaped. Then Show speared him through the barricade as they cut to a commercial. Then they cut to a commercial.

They showed a clip of the Shawn Michaels "I lost my smile" speech that he has never lived down. It's part of an ongoing series of clips that pay tribute to his soon-to-be-over career.

Vince McMahon announced Big Show and Triple H impressed him with their intensity, so since neither lost, they will wrestle the winner of Rob Van Dam vs. Chris Masters on next week's show in a three-way match.

Mamma Benjamin is begging Vince McMahon to give Shelton an IC Title shot. McMahon said if Shelton beats Eugene this week, he gets a title shot next week against Flair.

Backstage, Lita came on to McMahon backstage.

Mick Foley and Edge cut a promo backstage. Foley said he didn't like his disrespecting Jim Duggan. He said he could call his match straight, though, despite his bias. Edge said he better make the three count or it will be the biggest mistake of his life.

Matt Striker came out and did one of his teacher promos. He preached for abstinence. When Striker said, "I'm your teacher," I got defensive because one of my students was sitting ten rows away from me. I was sure to tell him, "No, I'm your teacher."

Just to clarify the Unlimited confusion from earlier: Unlimited IS available to UK fans as I watch it every week. It is only Heat/Velocity that are blocked on this side of the pond.

However there is no Unlimited tonight, doubtless due to the fact Raw isn't going out live in the USA. I would expect Unlimited segments will be posted during the Thursday showing instead.

That sounded like a boring show. No, literally, nothing sounded intriguing to watch. At least last week's SD had London/Kendrick vs MNM, Captain Paul Burchill, and Finlay kicking midgets.

Anyone else notice that they wait at least 20 seconds before Cena's music hits and he comes out? It's like they want to build up our excitement because we think he's injured and then crush it when he comes out.

Wow, this was not a good night for production.

At first, I thought the crowd was lackluster for HHH/Show, but it occurred to me after seeing the spirit squad that they might not be mic-ing people properly. Then we see the Vince/HBK segment, and suddenly the crowd's active again. Even then, they sounded horribly clipped, but that part might have been my cable.

Wow. I never thought I'd be glad to not have power, but it looks like of all the RAWs to miss, this was a good one.

I don't know. Foley's Jewels+Lita+Edge's live sex promie=gold.

That Benjamin/Eugene Match was like 2 minutes

But they edited out pony tits :( That made me sad. I soooo wanted to hear that....

(Incase you're wondering, if you watched Raw, you may have heard Joey say.. She................. GOT HER BY THE PONYTAILS. Live, he accidentally originally said "She's got her by the pony tits." He then repeats it, and King says "I'm glad you said ponytails this time.)

Also, I didn't think the HHH/Show match was bad. IN fact, I thought it was pretty good/

After he won the match, he stood on the turnbuckle and yelled to the crowd, doing the "R-V-D" pose several times, and each time, even though I pushed my volume to the max, you could only barely hear the audience doing it.

Now, unless the crowd felt it neccesary to whisper "R-V-D," I have a feeling he's getting dubbed out.

I don't think his crowd reactions are being dubbed out. I just think the fans are confused because Rob Van Dam is actually winning matches...

I honestly don't think they were doing this intentionally, because the crowd seemed muted most of the time...I mean, why would they intentionally mute HHH's reaction?

Or distracted, waiting for a vendor to come by with Doritos.
