Marty Jannetty was scheduled to appear again on Raw on Monday in Birmingham, AL, to continue as part of an angle. He was legitimately dropped from the show and the rest of the angle as of this morning due to screwing up at the wrong time. He is not expected back.

When did he screw up and how? Was it on air or something else?

The wrong time comment leads my inquisitive mind to believe it's a drug related situation...

I tried to count the number of times Jannetty has been sacked, to my memory, from the big-time promotions.

1. The Rockers got canned in 1987 shortly after their debut.

2. The team returns in 1988. Jannetty gets the sack shortly after The Rockers split, early 1992.

3. Jannetty returns in late 1992, has maybe two matches, and gets sacked in early 1993 after losing to The Boy Toy at the Rumble.

4. Jannetty returns on Monday Night Raw in mid-1993 and wins the IC title. By early 1994 he's gone again.

5. I'm not 100% on this but I think he may have even rejoined the WWF in late 1994 and gotten canned before he ever returned to TV after screwing up on a European tour. Sounds very familiar to me.

6. Sacked (or at least had all ties severed) by ECW at some point in 1994 for no-showing a card or two.

7. Returns to WWF in late 1995, doesn't do a lot, forms the New Rockers with Al Snow. Snow gets repackaged, Jannetty gets injured and is dropped once more.

8. Shows up looking rather skinny in WCW. Released soon after.

7. Returns to WWE in the build up to WrestleMania 21. Has two matches, isn't used for months, gets the sack after getting arrested.

8. Gets probably one final chance just two weeks ago. Today WWE announces they want nothing more to do with him.

I think that covers it, and thats to the best of my memory. Any additions or amendments?

like, hes going to show up in a few weeks hit vince from behind and run away screaming "ROH BABY"! and "WWE CAN KISS MY ASS". then they will rehire him just to kill off any heat that one moment created.

Can somebody find out what, specifically, the fuck he did wrong? Besides that whole laughing thing, which I haven't yet seen due to moving and such and having it recorded at my old house.

This sucks, but is kinda funny. Poor guy can't make it past 2 weeks as of late.

OK, for my fans, family and friends, here is the situation....Due to travel restrictions I have as part of a probation agreement, I was denied travel this week to Birmingham, Alabama for Monday Night Raw. As you could or should imagine, this is a disaster for WWE as they now have to go back and rewrite a major portion of their show in which I was to be included in, and with less than 3 days notice. The fact that this could happen again at any given time my PO decides against me traveling, is good reason for WWE to be concerned in another major disaster especially with WrestleMania coming up. Could you imagine that 2 days before that show I'm told I can NOT go to Chicago. Please understand WWE's position, and believe in them as they have not closed the window of opportunity yet. We are working hard right now on getting all travel restrictions lifted. It is a good possibility that it will happen. If you really care and are concerned, believe me when I say, prayer works and is greatly needed and appreciated right now. I'm getting tons of e-mails from friends and fans hating Vince and the WWE right now. They are not at fault!!! And, they are supporting me on this, so no more hating on them, ok?? I thank all of you for your support, cares and concerns. I love you all!!! I do have a strong gut feeling everything is going to be fine!!!!

If they have not closed the window, why did they not simply say he was "released" or will not be appearing? Why say "broken all professional ties" instead?

I'm honestly not going to claim to be in the know about any of this, but I guess the first reaction was to be pretty pissed off over the whole thing, and maybe later, cooler heads prevailed. And if he's really NOT definitely gone for good, then maybe they can work this into the storyline.

Yeah, here's hoping. IT's just a shame that all this had to come up over a parole issue.

Especially if it's nothing new/recent he's done. Marty's got quite a checkered past, but I'd really like to see him get another chance, and I think for Marty, wrestling's the only thing he has going for him, as sad as that sounds.

I feel really bad and sorry for Janetty.But what has to be has to be.

Obviously they knew. But being on parole, depending on what you did, means that you have to put in a written request to leave the state you were convicted in. From Marty's statement, it seems as though he's been putting in these requests, and for whatever reason his Parole Officer decided to deny his request this time. Under the cirumstances, the WWE made the right call and like he said, hopefully he can get his paperwork done for Chicago and attend WM.

I still think it would be more interesting if Janetty came out to side with Vince and not HBK, especially considering that Janetty and Michaels never really liked each other and that Marty's claim to fame in wrestling character wise is getting thrown through a window on the Barber Shop. Maybe that's just me though.

Since WWE's going to have to rewrite scripts, does anyone think we'll see a return of Leif Cassidy?

It may be tied direct to the drug offense that got him fired.

Or was it DUI? Whatever.

The last thing that got him fired was not being able to leave home due to probation or something because he yelled at his girlfriend. All of his past problems led to whatever the situation was being worse off, and he couldn't make it to OVW.

I thought he was sacked for an offense in Fla.

i dunno whats going on , but he looked in decent shape and i'm rooting for the guy to come back and have a Rockers match one last time. That would be cool.
