Official Sopranos Thread
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HERE WE GO.
Love the opening montage.
 talk about a cliffhanger
UHHHHHHHHH
Holy shit. |
oasdfuaousfdoasi best show ever.
Gene :(
HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
Like im pretty sure thats one of the best opening episodes ive ever seen.
Nic3e ep.
Anyone think this season could possibly be a big flashback of everything leading up to this episode? Would be kind of a letdown though.
Nah I doubt it. I don't think Tony is even dead or anything. Someone will probably come to the house and find him in time to save him.
Yeah doubt they'd kill Tony off with like 19 episodes to go.
Yeah, just a thought. Isn't it standard procedure to send a patrol to the location of an abandoned 911 call?
If he is in the hospital for a while and/or unresponsive, it'll definitly be interesting to see the power struggles. |
Yeah that is what I was thinking.

20, really. There's 12 this season, then 8 "bonus" episodes in January 2007. I dunno if those are being counted as their own season or just half of season 6.
Word. Nice.
I think the bonus eps still count as this season. They'll prolly do it like Prison Break, with a cliffhanger at like the 13th episode or whatever, then resolve it in January.
No way he'll be dead. Episode was deadly but I think it was hyped way too much. You obviously know he won't die.
This is pretty much the start of the internal war of the family between Paulie and Chris I believe.
I thought Chase and co HAD planned to do 8 follow-up episodes, but then retracted saying this season IS the last, as in no more seasons or follow-ups.
I definately read this on imdb i think and it linked to an interview with Chase. To me, the idea that a decision was made to go from saying "yeah, season 6 and THEN 8 follow ups" to "just this season and no more" - that kind of quick decision to me suggests, even him using the word FOLLOW UP - suggest that this season will finish it all and end well, and that the idea of the extra episodes was an idea where it explained and developed the ending of season 6, like the effect whatever the end is of this season. And the fact he said he wont do those eps, suggests this. Like he wants to END it, not follow up the effects etc. Paulie & Chris, lol, always been at eachothers throats, always seem to sort it out. Maybe they will fook it all up. I could be uber annoying and suggest THE RUSSIAN IS GONNA COME BACK lol. |
There will be 8 more episodes next year.

MADtV is god awful but that had some funny moments. He does a pretty good Tony.
Not a bad episode at all I think but the news paper here made it sound like it was 43082629463 times better than the season opener which it wasn't.
I need resolution :'(
Weird to hear Tony talk without the Jersey accent. Also, I didn't like the whole "AJ acts aloof cuz he can't express his feelings" stuff. So cliche. |
The Sopranos is the most perfect show that I have ever seen, ever.
Like every second of every episode, I am so into it. I am so glad I actually get to watch a show this good every week. |
i'm wondering if tony will be in the coma for the entire season..... so they can focus on real family/mob family drama without him (ie: carm's grief and paulie/chris power struggle).
would make for a VERY interesting season. and for the record..... there WILL BE 8 episodes next january. |
Is it me or when Tony was talking on the phone did it sound like someone other than Carmela?
And it didn't sound like Meadow either when he was talking to her on the phone.
Yeah that was the point. He was "dreaming" or whatever while in the coma, thus everything was different. I think they were trying to make that pretty obvious.
yea, pretty sweet episode and season so far. I marked out when they mentioned vacationing at Long Beach Island. I use to vacation there every summer.

Probably just me though. |
Forgot to say, whoever is responsible for the music deserves a lifetime award or something. By far best use of music in a show I've ever seen. Using that Moby song at the end of the last ep = genius.

Good possibility also.
OMGGGG Great show tonight  I loved the dream sequences, and got a little chill when I sae Tony B.. Plus, LOL at Chris' movie.
Good ep.
Oh and LOL @ the meeting about the movie.
Was that the dude that hanged him self in the door way at the end?
I thought it was supposed to be his moms.
That dream sequence with Buscemi was crazy.
Yea that was pretty intense. I was laughing pretty hard when Paulie got kneed in the nuts.
I read a theory somewhere else about what that whole 'dream' sequence was. I'm gonna put it in black text just in case it gets brought up again and it ends up being a spoiler, mind.
It wasn't a dream at all, he was in purgatory. Hence the flashing light, the flames on the TV, the Buddhists, and the whole sequence with Buscemi "you have to leave business behind" or whatever he said |
rofl shot in the ass
Paulie's an ice cold bastard, ain't he?
I'd cripple Paulie if I was that dude.
Paulie was fucking hilarious.
"A lot better than those fucking nuns you got there!" |
Another good episode. This is prolly the best season since 3.
In my opinion season 2 was the best and yes this was another fantastic episode, espeically at the end when he smirked in the mirror...then threw up.
Vito is such a fag
Probably on his way to the Feds
Nah i bet he kills those two guys before they say anything.
Meadows charachter really annoys me. I hate chicks who act like her. I hope she gets killed at the end of the season as some sort of " SHocker "
I'd hit it

Actually is she divorced? Pretty sure her name is back to Sigler in the credits now instead of Discara (sp)
ROFL at tonight's ep. The scene in the kitchen with Meadow, Ro, and Carmela was priceless. I wonder if all this stuff about terrorists is going to lead to anything?
Also, I say Tony lets Vito live. |
Best episode of the season so far. Funny too.
Quote:
Then again they seem to maybe be building towards Tony having a reason to suspect everyone is against him; -Chris questioning his decisions and (maybe) bringing the feds down on them due to the terrorist thing -Paulie not kicking up properly and that thing where he's hustling that kid even after Tony said he'd be left alone -Bobby complaining about his take and doing other stuff to try and support himself (i.e. shooting a guy in the ass - dunno if they'll go anywhere with that) -Before he was outed Vito was talking with Phil quite a lot, seemed like he was considering working for NY -Only guy I can't really think of anything for is Sil, but if Tony became all paranoid and Sil was the voice of reason he'd probably get suspicious of him too. Dunno, just a theory I guess. |
But Sil made it seem like the captains haven't been paying their 4% for a long time and Tony lets it go because it isn't that big of a deal hence all the captains love Tony being the boss.
I can perhaps see inhouse fighting over Tony letting Vito live because Carlo even said that it was against many of the guys prinicpals. Next week's episode looks awsome. |
I am going to miss the hell out of this show when it is gone.
How long are seasons of this usually?
Usually 13 episodes but last season I think only had 11.
Quote:
I dunno I don't think it will. There was always resentment from Paulie about Tony being the boss but I don't think he'll ever do anything about it and if he had to choose a side im pretty sure he'd stick with Tony.
It's not so much Paulie doing anything to move against T it's more T finding out what Paulie's been doing behind his back.
Then again they've done the whole "Tony is paranoid about the people around him" thing before, so who knows. |
Could be a midlife think.
Sucking a cock? |
Well, of all the things I imagined seeing on The Sopranos, I can safely say Lauren Bacall getting punched out was not one of them.
Quote:
Tonight was a strange episode...but it was funny to see them punch Lauren Bacall....didnt see that comin at all |
Pretty funny episode. No Paulie :(
Seems like they are devoting entire episodes to smaller characters, which is pretty cool.
Yea dipping Arties hand in the sauce looked quite painful.
I'm thinking maybe Artie'll flip and go to the Feds.
Phil 'coming out of the closet' like the frickin angel of death or something was soooooo money
damn one more ep for the rest of the year.
I have a bad feeling Sil is getting whacked.
ANd i think that will be what sets off the last few episodes and shit hits the fan.
Silvio better not get whacked. He is the best character EVER!
Either Silvio or Paulie is dying before this season's done, says I.
Honestly, the way he jacked that dude in the back of the head with the bottle and then the other captain stabbing him. That was one of my favorite Sapranos seens of all time.
SO, the final eps start next week, but apparently a preview screener of the first episode is leaked. I am downloading it right now.
I think you gotta figure Christopher dies, and Tony can't end the series a free man, he either dies or gets indicted imo.
I think Paulie will get killed off and I don't think Tony will be indicted either. I bet they'll end it off with Tony smoking a cigar near a lake or pond.
Dunno, I think that'd be too much of a happy ending, and kind of a betrayel of the way the show has been built up, both through the constant efforts of the writers to keep it realistic, the tireless persuit of the FBI and Tony's own admission that guys like him inevitably end up murdered or in jail for life.
Not to mention when Tony did mention a 'third way' ie talking only through a particular person to avoid exposure, he chose a borderline sociopathic junkie (Christopher) as his buffer-man and heir apparent. He's tied himself so closely both professionally and emotionally to Chrissy that its bound to end in tears, either Chrissy's habits get found out again and he has to be killed (which would break Tony's heart), Chrissy flips (which would break Tony's heart and see him locked up for life) or Chrissy's wrecklessness just generally fucks everything up anyway.
Him being indicted leaves too many open loose ends. I think he either gets killed (which I doubt because there were rumors of a movie being made not too long ago) or as you say a happy ending. Him smoking a cigar doesn't necessarily mean it's a happy ending, paulie or chris or ever getting killed wouldn't necessarily be good or happy.
I think this is it as far as Sopranos productions go, the extra episodes replaced the movie idea I'm fairly certain.
Also I think any ending will leave a whole host of ambiguities, thats what this show has always been about anyway. |
K just finished the first ep. Good shit. Nothing too blockbuster but it did set up a bit of stuff for later in the season.
I just hope Furio makes an appearance.
BLITZ WHERE CAN I FIND THE FIRST EP?
Any torrent site should have it. Should be labeled as Season 6 episode 13. If you get the same file as me, you'll need to change the file extension from, .avi to .mp4.
It's not TV quality or anything, but it's easily watchable. |
Quote:
David Chase has said numerous times Furio is not coming back:roll: |
Damn it.
He could be a liar. |
On a related note, I am about to watch The Sopranos from Season 1, Episode 1 all the way through over the coming weeks. It's a show I've never watched regularly but have always really liked when I have actually watched it. Thought I would share this.
And man, Tony has put on weight since Season 1. |
I thought Tony might kill Bacala last night.
Lame episode.
I liked the episode.
LOVED IT.
Good episode, some people said it was boring and stuff but I thought it was decent.
