I found this list on a site called DigitalDreamdoor. What do you think? There were quite a few names that raised my eyebrow...like Nuno Bettencourt at #33? I was severly disappointed in where Dimebag came in, there's no way that Nuno fucking Bettencourt is better than him. I might have to go check out Buckethead, he's playing out here in LA soon. (He comes in at #30).

I look at Digital Dream Door every now and then, though I usually have big problems with their lists. This is one of their better ones though.

In my humble opinion, Frusciante should be a hell of a lot higher.

The more I look at this the more I disagree with it. It is pretty damn hard to choose the top 100.

Harrison was a better composer, McCartney was better (like Lennon) at taking complex shit and making it sound easy.

From a musician's standpoint, there is very little Harrison had on McCartney.

from a composition standpoint, the guy's top notch. From the standpoint of actually playing guitar, there are probably two dozen more people I'd put before him. No nkock on Pete...Just the truth.

Omar makes the top 200 actually, if I remember correctly. Should definitely be in the top 100 though.

They just took the Rolling Stone top 100 and sprinkled in a few names that people bitched about not being there. Marty Friedman is too low.

Why do so many people think that Jimi Hendrix is the best guitarist ever? He was a terrible guitarist. I don't care how much "feeling" he played with, he went out of key on a regular basis during his "amazing" guitar solos.

Actually I just noticed that Mascis was at 199 and should be much higher. I didn't see Doug on the list though. He is easily more talented than a lot of people on that list. That list is bullshit for sure. The drummer list is funny as well.

Doug has to be the best lyricist i've ever heard as well, and he is nowhere on that list. These people need to get out more rather than picking the first 100 songs/artists they hear on the radio.
