Why does Triple H have two themes?

I keep noticing that "The Game" is still being played as well as the "King of Kings" theme.

Wassupwitdat?

TerranRich 04-25-2006 10:28 AM

"The Game" is his wrestling theme.
"King Of Kings" is his promo entrance theme.

That's what you get when you're the boss's son-in-law. ;)

Xero 04-25-2006 12:55 PM

He's so special he gets two themes.

I was hoping they would use it like Mankind's original set. Have The Game play for when he enters and King of Kings for when he wins. (Since he'll win more than he'll enter. :shifty: )

Haven't they used it at least twice on TV for his wrestling entrance theme?

Also, why the fuck does he still have the "Game Over" Titan Tron on his Kings entrance? Or did they just screw up the one time I was watching and noticed?

Xero 04-25-2006 05:27 PM

They have not used it as his match enterance since Mania.

And I believe they do use the Kings tron, although they may be using his new skull logo and I don't notice difference.

Kalyx triaD 04-25-2006 05:35 PM

Mankind had another theme that played after victories. A piano tune.

That wasn't mentioned at all in this thread. Good job.

Kalyx triaD 04-25-2006 05:43 PM

I saw the title and just added a reply. Think better of me, father.

Funky Fly 04-25-2006 06:22 PM

Mankind's 2 themes served a purpose though. The first was his actual theme, and the second was to "soothe the savage beast".

Xero 04-25-2006 06:37 PM

And so would Hunter's. King of Kings, if played when he wins, would tell people that he's still the King. :shifty:

Funky Fly 04-25-2006 07:17 PM

I think he should just switch completely to the King of Kings theme. I really like its simplicity.

As Funky said, there was an inherrent purpose there.

You didn't give the reason Mankind had two themes nor give a reason HHH has two.

I disagree, the game music suits his entrance when he's coming to the ring for the match, as he has to get up on the ring and spit water out..etc..in the king of kings music theres not really a break in the theme for him to do that.

The Naitch 04-25-2006 10:09 PM

TL wins the debate

Kane Knight 04-25-2006 10:21 PM

I think if they keep using two songs, people might realise that Mötorhead only has three songs.

Kane Knight 04-25-2006 11:55 PM

I was giving 'em a little credit, as there's a slight difference between the two songs they';ve got going.

TerranRich 04-26-2006 01:00 AM

I once listened to a Motorhead album. It was like eating 12 or so slices of white bread that tasted slightly different.

Xero 04-26-2006 01:21 AM

Was it from the same package or different brands? If it were the same problem, that's some funky bread.

TerranRich 04-26-2006 01:36 AM

I think the bread was poisoned. :'(

At least it tasted better than Motorhead.

What Would Kevin Do? 04-26-2006 01:50 AM

You could argue that his two themes due serve a purpose.

IE, his King of King themes is more of an attention getter, IE "The King is here" type thing, or "Pay attention, the King speaks."

As opposed to his wrestling theme... Yeah..

I dunno, you could argue it serves a purpose.

Personally, I like the two themes. I think it works.

TerranRich 04-26-2006 11:29 AM

Actually, I like the two themes also. And I've never actually listened to a Motorhead album. I just wanted to talk about white bread and its taste.

I own a Motorhead album. It's more like drinking urine from 12 different chicks.

Skippord 04-26-2006 06:02 PM

I wish he would just use King Of Kings

TerranRich 05-23-2006 02:16 PM

LMAO, way to bump a thread with a nod.

Xero 05-23-2006 02:41 PM

So is the King of Kings a sexual innuendo or what?

"On your knees"?

If they mixed it and put "SUCK IT" there, I would totally laugh my ass off.

TerranRich 05-23-2006 03:16 PM

"On your knees, dog"

"The King grinned red as he walked from the place..."

It's more a gya Nazi thing.

Xero 05-24-2006 04:54 PM

Is it just me or does there seem to be a gap between the intro and the chorus? I don't know, it just seems to go right into the chorus way too soon to me.

Kane Knight 05-24-2006 05:40 PM

Poor Editing?

Ministry9006 05-24-2006 05:54 PM

Anyone besides Mankind and Triple H have two themes?

NeanderCarl 05-24-2006 06:13 PM

Hang on... "King of Kings".... "The Game"... "Line In The Sand" (Evolution song)... "Ace of Spades"... that's FOUR Motorhead songs!

They got at least four.

:p

I think out of those four, you could probably count them each for half. None of the first three are significantly different from one another.

Stickman 05-24-2006 06:37 PM

Well, HHH is the King of Kings so since he is above anybody else he's aloud to do whatever he wants.

Trips probably wrote the lyrics for those three anyway, which is why their so similar.

I heard he wrote a bunch of lyrics on their last album.

TerranRich 05-25-2006 09:34 AM

Vince: Paul, why did you write a song about...banging the boss's daughter and having the locker room give you head in order to get a push?

Triple H: Hmm... "On your knees!"

Vince: Oh! :naughty:

Triple H: Uh, no, that's a lyric.

Vince: Oh. :(

Triple H: Well, OKAY!

Vince: :D

He's credited in it, but I don't know how many he wrote. If any.

Did he write the music, too? Because the songs are more or less like different remixes of the Undertaker's theme.

I expect some level of uncreativity in metal, because most metal bands will drop to D, C, or even A, and play the same fucking riffs everyone else will. But the unoriginality Motorhead shows off is pretty horrible.

I don't think he wrote the music. Trust me, if Trips had musical ability, he would've self-indulged in it and shown us all on TV by now. Hell, there ain't no way The Rock should get his own Rock concerts while poor old Trips doesn't get to show off his marvellous one man band performances.

Writing the music is easier than playing it.

Is that The Ultimate Warrior's theme tune?????

Kane Knight 05-26-2006 12:42 AM

I bet 80% of wrestling themes use something like that. ;)

TerranRich 05-30-2006 10:48 AM

I've noticed that a lot of Johnston's themes have this certain guitar riff, where it's like a quick back-and-forth, almost rap-like riff. Listen to the "Brawl For All" remake on WWE Anthology to hear what I mean.

Lock Jaw 05-30-2006 08:20 PM

Why?

BECAUSE HE IS THAT DAMN GOOD!!
