Smackdown Spoilers
Smackdown spoilers from Bakersfield
by Brian Stoltz I got there at the beginning of Smackdown so I caught the end of Velocity, arena was no where close to sold out. Velocity Paul Birchell and William Regal lose to the Gymini Smackdown Begins Booker T gets his crown and rambles on and Sharmell talks too much and is very ANNOYING, they both stay at ringside and watch the match from their chairs. Lashley beats JBL for the US Title despite interference from Booker T Lashley challenges Booker T to a match next week, Booker T agrees if the US title is on the line Teddy Long announces Mark Henry taking on Rey Mysterio for the main event Paul London and Brian Kendrick beat Kid Kash and Jamie Noble in a 5 star match Paul Heyman comes out and promotes One Night Stand which brings out Finlay who attempts to attack Paul Heyman but Chris Benoit comes to the rescue only to get pummeled by Finlay and a short guy. Finlay beat the crap out of Benoit with the stick he carries to the ring. Great Khali defeats Matt Hardy in a very quick match (Hardy got the biggest pop of the night) Tatanka defeats someone announced from Bakersfield Rappers come out to a lot of boos and Mark Henry comes out and challenges Rey Mysterio. Not a bad match at all, Chavo Guerrero pushes Rey Mysterio off the ropes and Mysterio loses to Mark Henry with a big splash. Mark Henry left with the World Title belt. The crowd was a little confused because it was not announced as a title match and when the bell rang, they only announced Mark Henry as the winner and he grabbed the belt. Big celebration for Mark Henry with the rappers. |
Dear god please don't say Henry won the title on a Smackdown TV taping.
Scary that alot of Aleinoid's predictions came true. Hardy getting squashed, London/Kendrick taking on Noble/Kash |
Actually just found a totally different set:
The arena was almost completely full with only a few smalls sections closed off behind the camera view. Crowd was hot before the show even started. Velocity matches Jamie Noble and Kid Kash (with chains around their necks) defeated Funaki and Scotty 2 Hotty after Kash hit Funaki with the chain. Orlando Jordan defeated a jobber. I think his name was Clyde Stanley. Paul Burchill defeated The Road Warrior by DQ. I didn't see the finish because I was buying a t-shirt but that is what the kid next to me said happened. Mexicools defeated Vito and Nunzio in a really good match. The crowd was quiet until the finishing sequence which got a good response. Michael Cole and Tazz come out and they switch the set to SD. No pyro. Strange. Show opens up with Mark Henry saying that he deserves a World title shot and he wants it RIGHT NOW. He says he has decimated the last 3 World champions, Batista, Angle, and Rey. He said if anyone deserves a shot, it's him. Out comes Angle from behind and he hits the Angle Slam on Henry. Loud "Let's Go Angle" chants. Bobby Lashley defeated William Regal rather quickly with a spear. Cut a promo about how even though he didn't win KOTR, he's still rising straight to the top. Teddy Long is backstage and said that there will be a match for the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight title tonight and it will be between Mark Henry and Kurt Angle in a Judgment day rematch. Booker T is in the ring with his robe and crown and his mic didn't work. tee hee hee. After a few awkward minutes that will probably be edited, Booker gets on the mic and goes on about how he should be in the #1 contender match because he is the King. He says he doesn't get any respect and things are about to change around here. He was congratulating himself and promised that as King, Smackdown would be changing real soon. Finlay beat Tatanka via count-out when a midget elf came out and took Tatanka's headgear and ran off with it. Tatanka chased him to the back and allowed Finlay to attack him from behind. One of the MNM guys walks in London and Kendricks dressing room and they jump up ready to fight. He said he had no beef with them and respected them for beating them fairly. He said he also wants to prove he can be fair and asks for a rematch. They ask who his partner is going to be and he says he'll let them know. One half of MNM and Matt Hardy defeated London and Kendrick in a non-title match. They shook hands after the match. JBL is in the ring and says that he has a few things he needs to address. He said that he was watching Raw on Monday and that he couldn't believe that after the ass kicking that ECW took last year that they are coming back for some more. He said on June 11th (nice plug) he would be at ECW ONS again and drink beer and kick ass. He said no one drinks more beer and kicks more ass. This prompted a Stone Cold chants but instead the lights went out and THE SANDMAN ATTACKED HIM! JBL retreats to the back as the ECW music plays.. (no Enter Sandman). They played a Diva Search promo on the screen that prompted some pretty loud boos. Of course, it will be edited. Gunner Scott defeated Gregory Helms in a non-title match with a headbutt from the top rope. Boy, they are just burying the champions tonight. Solid match though. Rey Mysterio is in the back and he walks passed Daivari who is talking to Mark Henry about his title match after he beats Kurt Angle tonight. Both of them were out of Mysterio's view with Henry's back to the camera. They overlook him and when Rey is out of sight of the camera, Henry steps to the side showing Daivari was actually talking to Chavo, who looked shook up. Khali and Daivari in ring promo. Something about destroying the Undertaker. Promised the Undertaker would never be back after the humiliating loss he took. Promo for a fatal four way US title match on SD next week between JBL, Finlay, Lashley, and Benoit. I guess this means the number one contender wont be facing Rey for the title next week. Mark Henry defeated Kurt Angle with the Worlds Strongest Slam after Daivari low-blowed Angle while he had Henry in the Ankle lock. Henry continues to beat Angle down until Mysterio makes the save, allowing Angle to regain his senses and defend himself. Show goes off the air with Henry and Rey staring each other down. Advertised Dark match was Rey vs Henry for the World Heavyweight title but they had Rey and Angle vs Henry and Khali in a tag match. We left before the match even started. |
I def prefer the second one!
|
In your experiance Dave, which one do you think is real?
|
It's hard to tell.
The first one has no mention of MNM which seems logical as Mercury was meant to be taking time off anyway. But the second says the Mexicools tagged up, which they haven't done for ages, plus why would Gunner Scott be in a Cruiserweight match? The second seems more detailed the first seems to have been written by a mark really. I'm leaning towards the second, but i'm not 100% on that |
It's tough:
1st one has Benoit being taken out of action, which was reported to be happening. 1st one has Lashley winning the US title, which was reported to be happening. 2nd one has more realistic velocity tapings. Why would Burchill and Regal be tagging together? Joey Mercury is suppossed to be taking time off? Its more likely Tatanka would win his 'debut' match. It's confusing... |
What's up with the 2 sets of spoilers?
|
I like the sound of the second one better, but I think the first one is accurate. Hopefully Henry just took the title belt and didn't win it, and when forced to hand it over to Rey, he decimates Rey, which gives us Batista vs. Mark Henry for the vacant title.
Either way...it looks like no King Booker T as World Champion. :( It also makes sense that Paul London & Brian Kendrick defend their titles in their first match back. Joey Mercury & Matt Hardy as a tag team? They have a past together, but I doubt the WWE would go this route. Tatanka losing to Finlay in his first match back? I can't see that happening. Plus the first one explains the Benoit injury. |
Where'd you find the second set? The first set is being reported on 411mania which is where I always get my spoilers. I hope the second set is the true one, it sounds a much better show.
I'm definately leaning towards the second set as real on second reading, not least because the Chavo turn seems extremely rushed in the first and is set up nicely for something to happen in the second. |
I'm gonna say the second set is real, the first one seems almost like fan fic...
|
Meltzer has the first set of results up on his site
|
*edit* my bad last weeks results
|
ignore this

 Please tell me you posted that as a joke!
|
lol i didnt read it
|
I'd like to see lashley with the US title.....Affirmative action baby.
|
First set has both Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio getting squashed. They must be the right ones.
|
Plus the second set makes to mention of Three Six Mafia, who're supposed to be on this week.
|
The first set of results appear to feautre everything that was meant to happen last night. And that, that's not cool.
|
|
..shit...
|
I am currently holding my hands and praying that Mark Henry did not become the World champion last night. As much as I hate Mysterio...Henry as champ *shudder*
|
With the first one it hard to say if Mark Henry actually did win the title. It says Three six mafia celebrated with Henry but they are meant to be alligned with Henry and the crowd was confused as it said it was a title match.
Honestily if Henry get the the title it means Satan will get the flu because Hell will surely freeze over |
.. id rather Henry took title if it meant i was right about Chavo screwing Rey
|
wrestlezone has reported that the 1st set of tapings are in fact *gulp* real
the only good thing coming there in lashley winning the belt |
Whats also great about the first one is that it actually sees the two major belts change hands on Smackdown for the first time in ages!!!:D

There is a THIRD set of spoilers.
This one still has Lashley winning the U.S. Title, but JBL t hen challenges Rey to a rematch and states that if he loses, he will quit Smackdown. And then Rey defeats JBL as the crowd sings "Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye!" to JBL. Also Mark Henry is the one who injured Benoit. And Finlay/Burchill had a match that led to the midget debut. |
Also the 3rd set has the corniation ceremony involving King Book/Queen Sharmell/William Regal.
Kendrick/London vs. F.B.I. Tatanka vs. Simon Dean |
The first set of results are now up on PWI.
|
I honestly believe the ones I just posted for a number of reasons.
1. JBL wants to go to Raw because he wants new opponents, because he wants to retire in the next year or two. He really wants to feud with HBK, well this opens the doors for that. 2. They still explain the Benoit injury, this will leave the door open for Benoit's feud when he comes back. 3. Tatanka was suppose to "Return" at the show. Why would he lose in his return after being hyped for weeks? Simon Dean is usually the whipping boy in these types of situations. 4. Lashley won the U.S. Title which what the picture shows. |
Do the results you have include Heyman?
|
WTF IS GOING ON!?!?!?!@?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?111111111iiiiii
|
I'm buying the first one... Shame though. The guy who came up with the second one wrote a pretty good show.

It can't be the second one especially if the Lashley pic is legit.
|
If this is true, I'm psyched.
I'd take Henry over Mysterio ANY day. |
http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=18190&p=1
PWInsider has the first set up. I just literally screamed out "OH MY GOD" in a horrific voice. Henry better not be the fucking champion. Mysterio may not be a good or deserving champion, but Jesus Christ don't put the title on MARK HENRY! |
Rappers come out to a lot of boos and Mark Henry comes out and challenges Rey Mysterio.
|
But he left with the world title. Granted, they could be doing an angle where he steals it, but we won't know until PWInsider or another legit site confirms it or we hear the commentary.
|
Let's pray to God it's only an angle where he stole the belt.

I found that on YouTube. It shows homemade video clips of SmackDown!, including what looks like Booker with confetti falling. I cannot 100% confirm this was last night, but it's a SmackDown! taping and includes Finlay's leprecon. Some matches don't match either spoilers, but it says it's from Bakersfield and a lot of that has not happened on WWE TV. Edit: No, wait, it matches the second set, especially with Angle/Henry. So the second set seems to be legit. |
Looks like a 3rd set of spoilers now... This one makes me happier and makes more sense to me too

This is crazy. Their are three sets of spoilers out there, and all of them are different.
Maybe their doing what TNA does and tape three shows in one night...:shifty: |
My eyes and brain hurt after reading the match story between JBL and Rey Rey.

The third set seems the most realistic though.
|
third set posted on this page is the one.
|
Hmm...JBL to Raw?
This past year has featured a lot of jumping not to do witrh the draft. To SD Matt Hardy. Kurt Angle. Daivari. Gregory Helms. Chavo Guerrero. To Raw JBL. Melina. Johnny Nitro. Who got the better deal here? |
Smackdown seems to constantly lose talent. Batista's hurt and Orton got suspended. Undertaker is a part timer, Kennedy got hurt, Angle is hurt all the time, now JBL and Benoit are off. Melina and Nitro are gone, its like the worst place to be.
I hear Batista and Orton are due back soon though, which hopefully will help the falling and anemic roster. |
The one that was "just posted" was the same one I mentioned in the previous page.
|
Wow, this is really messed up this week. All 3 sets have sections that could happen. Might actually have to wait to watch on Friday night to see which ones are real.
|
Ok, the 3rd set seems realistic, because WWE.com has a story on Funaki being knocked out.
|
WWE.com has a story up about Funaki getting a concussion at the Velocity tapings.
|
Well RG and I had the same thought.

THIS IS SO BIZZARE!
|
BAHGAWD!
|
If the first one is true with Henry - it could setup a Batista/Henry feud when Batty gets back, no doubt when Batista did return he wanted a title shot... This could have a double effect on wanting Henry
/edit Didnt read page2 so didnt notice a third set... |
I'm so damn confused.
WHICH ONE IS THE REAL SET OF SPOILERS! |
Henry didn't have a world title reign in his $10m contract did he?
:'( |
I think it's safe to say that the spoilers which show Rey beating JBL, Henry against Benoit, Lashley winning the US title, etc are the correct spoilers.
|
Pretty big scare though, with Henry and all.
|
Now if they had said that Chris Jericho came out and won the title, we'd all be pretty bummed right about now.
|
KingofOldSchool's are right. It appears the WWE did a lot on track this week. I called Kendrick & London vs. Nunzio & Vito, Noble & Kash vs. Funaki & Hotty, Tatanka vs. Dean and Henry vs. Benoit. That's what I like about the writing of SmackDown!, from what happens one week, you can predict the next.
I would have much preferred it if Minilay had cost Burchill the match against Finlay. I still believe PB is in the doghouse. I've read conflicting reports about who went over on Velocity, Sylvan or Matt Hardy, but I'm thinking/hoping it was Hardy, which is a good thing. So next week on SmackDown!, Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble & Kid Kash, Bobby Lashley vs. Finlay, developments in a Mark Henry/Gunner Scott feud (it makes no sense for Scott not to be pissed off about Henry injuring Benoit). Henry should be used to get the stars of tomorrow over. So now JBL is on RAW. Hopefully he joins Vince and provides DX with an antagonist. JBL & Shane McMahon vs. Triple H & Shawn Michaels? That could be decent. I'm a little upset the report says the Kendrick & London didn't get long. I'm sure they will get enough (I only envisioned a match where the heels isolated Paul London for five minutes, Kendrick got the hot tag and that's it), but it seems like it's the only match described as short. Here's hoping they get a few minutes. The best thing coming out of this report is the news that we may still get World Heavyweight Champion King Booker T. WHCKBT has a feud building with Batista, and he is worthy of holding the belt. Sure, he's not the Booker T he used to be, but right now his character is on fire. Fans will care more about 2006 King of the Ring Booker T vs. Batista than they will LandMark Henry vs. Batista. I can see them doing title changes every week until The Great American Bash, now. I see the World Heavyweight Championship going to KBT next week. The United States Title could be traded between Finlay, Lashley, Burchill and Regal a few times (I think a Booker + Regal alliance could actually work out). Gregory Helms might lose the CW Title any day now. SmackDown! is actually getting interesting again. |
Maybe they did three shows to throw us all off
|
I'm actually wondering if this is a new strategy by the WWE. Sure, the first set seems to come from an independant source, but this confusion has got a lot of interest from net fans. Some may even tune in to watch SmackDown! this week, just to clear it up.
Maybe conflicting spoilers can be the WWE's way of gathering more viewers for their taped shows. |
rajah just posted the third set of results as the real ones. which makes sense now that i compare all three
|
This is what I got, which would make The Kingofoldschool correct
