I don't know if this has been posted yet, or how legit it might be, but..HOLY SHIT :D

Seems pretty legit... but some bits look like they're taken from the first two. And the bit where the costume is covering Pete's face looks like someone done it on Paint or summit.

Still... got me exited.

It's fake, a very good fake. It uses scenes from the first two movies as well as a clip from X2 and some horror movie (presumely Pumpkinhead). There's some pretty good edits here, mostly color swaps and composites in the video. High calibur stuff, but not real. A teaser would be on the official site, Apple.com/trailers, and video blog sites in that order.

It's 100% fake. We won't see an offical trailer/teaser until sometime late this year.

Especially since many of the scenes involving Venom or the new Goblin look like they're doctored scenes from SM 1 with the original Goblin.

Somebody just played around with Spidey/Goblin's colours, made some newspaper headlines, and put in clips from the first two movies.

Yeah, that wasn't even remotely good.

Looked almost as bad as that homemade zelda movie preview.

How was that good? It looked pretty rudimentary to me. And low level. Horrible.

It's a good video edit for an obvious non-professional. We see right through it, but I bet more than a few average fans were sceptical or fooled altogether; this thread's existance, for instance.

It's a better fake trailer than Superman/Batman.

It's not good for a non-professional, it's good for someone unskilled and with piss-poor equipment and minor mental retardation.

I haven' watched it in full yet (i.e. avec sound) so this might be wrong but it might be a delusion brought on by the symbiote to give him a reason to hate Sandman

This is either a massive stroke of luck or great future writing by the fact they never showed Ben's actual attack which lead to his death, yeah it totally breaks away from the Comic series, but I'm not a comic loyalist so I still think this will be good and gives Spidey a reason for wanting to take him down.

Oh and i'm still totally pissed that Venoms not in that trailer!!!!

Yes, actually. *nerd mode* recently in the comics Scorpion has become Venom. Cementing the idea that the sybiots name is Venom, and not the symbiot + Eddie Brock.

i thought venom and carnage were regular characters like superman, not like "i'm gonna take over your body" types.

Venom is Eddie Brock+The Symbiote/black costume.

The black costume is automatically a precursor, but not actually the Venom character. Venom and Carnage are both regular characters. The whole "possession" thing is short lived.

But *spoilers* Wasn't it covered that Uncle Ben died in the first movie (like it was in the comics), and shouldn't Eddie Brock have some muscles, I understand star power nowadays, but put some more effort into picking the cast. And Tom Haden Church is gonna be a badass. *end*

Start Yeah, but he didn't die onscreen, really. It was kind of assumed. Isn't Ultimate Spider-Man's Brock scrawny as all fuck without the symbiote? I don't actually read the comics, but I played the video game and seem to remember he was about as buff as Pee Wee Herman. It's not like he needs to be strong anyway...The suit augments Brock's strength anyway. End stupid spoiler font I'm only doing to humour people too stupid to realise everyone already knows this shit at this point.

Just to elaborate, every time the post-Eddie Brock that the symbiot attached to some one they didn't remain under their Alias, they became Venom. Angelo Fortunato and Mac Gargan (The Scorpion) both. Thus clearly showing that is the name (or the chosen name) of the symbiot. And the whole thing about possession thing being short lived couldn't be further from the truth. There was a mini-series, Planet of the Symbiotes, symbiotes were originally a conquering race that took over any species that they would come in contact with. And they would kill them for the rush. But hosts don't last long like that. The Venom symbiote is unique because it desired a strong bond with a single host, and desired to belong rather than to dominate. (Really that is just a means to keep Eddy Brock around from a writers point of view.) Basically you are WAY off.

It's an early version of the trailer (with most of the CGI not done), but it has some stuff that was cut out of the official trailer. Such as Venom.

The ending with Brock turning into Venom is awesome, and its very real. Hurry up and see it if you want because Sony is frantically having them all taken down. You just see a quick shot of the suit falling on him and engulfing him, then a split second of him screaming and revealing the venom face. Great
