Best Concert(s) You've Been To

The best i've seen LIVE, and I'm sure alot of people agree are AC/DC, Ozzy at Ozzfest, and Motley Crue. NEXT

JJ Moore 06-14-2006 06:20 AM

umm...... Isis were great last year, Megadeth & Testament in Dubai, Saudi Arabia earlier this year, ummmm GnR at the Hammersmith Odeon last week...

Alice In Chains and Opeth last week at Download as well as Metallica *Full Master of Puppets Album played*, GnR (Izzy and Sebastian Bach on stage with them) Strapping Young Lad were immense aswell!

Kreator / Dark Tranquiltiy were great last year.

So many good gig's!

The Mask 06-14-2006 08:26 AM

mad capsule markets was insane.

james brown is up there too for being super fucking cool and awesome

Sickboy 06-14-2006 09:04 AM

If we don't count festivals, then I would have to say Mortiis's gig 1,5 years ago was just great.

El Vaquero de Infierno 06-14-2006 12:07 PM

Nickel Creek.

Never seen a band so comfortable up on the stage, and that came through in the performance.

mitchables 06-14-2006 12:11 PM

Brand New and Coheed and Cambria both put on amazing shows when I saw them.

Arashi Kage 06-14-2006 10:54 PM

Judas Priest United Tour 2004 - with Slayer
Judas Priest Angel of Retribution Tour 2005 - with Queensryche

I took my older cousin with me to both shows, and after the 2004 show, he said that Priest was the best show he'd ever seen, better than Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, and I forget what other shows he named. The thing is, he's not really into metal, he's into alternative - Pumpkins, Radiohead type stuff, and he was blown away by Priest.

Arnold HamNegger 06-15-2006 08:15 PM

-Slayer
-AC/DC
(I think every new band should have to see AC/DC live before they're ever allowed to perform on tour.)
-Metallica
-Multiple Ozzfests
-Vince Neil at the HOB in Hollywood for nestalgia
(Motley is a sore subject with me...so SO beyond pissed off and disappointed that I never got to see them last year. I saw them in San Diego without Tommy on drums, so I don't even count that. Still a kick ass show though.)
-Sevendust
-I've seen alot of kickass shows in smaller club venues like The Whisky, The Roxy, The Palladium, etc. in Hollywood. In some ways I like that better than stadium shows. Bands include: Buckcherry, Hed pe, Kittie, Linkin Park, Mudvayne, Disturbed, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Spineshank, Fear Factory, etc. to name a few.

And finally, the greatest concert I've ever seen...hands down is Pantera, Anthrax and Coal Chamber. Fucking insane. I feel fortunate that I got to see Dime perform live. The intensity of a Pantera show is unlike anything I've ever experienced...or probably ever will.

D Mac 06-16-2006 02:32 AM

Metallica with special guests Godsmack.

FakeLaser 06-16-2006 02:55 AM

Going to see Roger Waters in September, that might take it.

KISS

Kid Robb 06-16-2006 04:48 AM

We don't get much big name stuff out here.

Kanye West is the best I've seen. His show was amazing from start to finish.

For something different - Michael Buble - his show was brilliant, the music was done perfectly and he was an awesome entertainer.

Mike the Metal Ed 06-20-2006 02:54 PM

For stage show, Rammstein at the Nottingham Arena, music wise, Motörhead at the DeMontfort Hall last year. Felt like I'd had the shit kicked out of me, in a happy, buzzy way.

Lara Emily 06-26-2006 04:53 AM

The headline show at FolkFest Ottawa a few years back which included both Dar Williams and Tegan and Sara.

OverTaker 06-28-2006 07:05 PM

Any band you like listening to on radio, cd, itunes, whatever. Go see em' LIVE! It's a helluva show.

The Gooch 06-30-2006 12:15 AM

Easily the best was Radiohead in a club in London, Ontario for their "The Bends" tour. Perhaps 300-500 people at the show with a $10 pricetag.

Mötley Crüe last February from the second row. Right in front of Nikki's mic stand. He saluted me and my girl which was very cool.

Radiohead on their "OK Computer" tour.

Van Halen. 11 minute Eddie guitar solo + 7 minute Alex drum solo = sweetness.

Blue Rodeo. Better live band than studio. One of the best bands nobody knows about except us Canucks.

Cheap Trick. Musically pretty fucking amazing.

The Cult. My first wow-I-can't-believe-I'm-actually-seeing-these-guys concert.

Billy Idol. Saw him twice and loved both shows. Great performer and Steve Stevens is incredible. The second best guitar solo I've ever seen live after Eddie VH.

Skippord 07-08-2006 04:15 AM

Holy shit now its Rob Zombie and Godsmack

KingofOldSchool 07-08-2006 11:06 AM

Pearl Jam
My Morning Jacket
Jason Mraz (yes, i said it)

LK 07-08-2006 03:17 PM

Without a doubt Radiohead on the Hail to the Thief tour. Included a rare playing of Creep and just an amazing night.

Gertner 07-08-2006 04:22 PM

Got an upcoming show featuring Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Junkie XL, Desyn Masiello and Marcel Woods, so we may have a a new clubhouse leader

Third place Coldplay V Festival 2003

bopeep 05-12-2008 10:25 AM

....yeah -- i agree, people are basically getting sick of the same old rock/hip-hop/r&b bullsh*t..... and there is just this big upsurge from a new style coming out of Europe -- best place i've found it so far is a compilation series called 'euro club hits' on itunes -- or check this link: http://electricfilebox.com/tracks

:naughty:  :|

Indifferent Clox 05-12-2008 11:46 AM

Minus the Bear.

Holy shit, I will never forget that show as long as I live.

El Fangel 05-17-2008 02:36 AM

Concerts I have gone to in order of when I saw them

Great Big Sea - Seen them when I was like 10-12, Cousin scored 10 free tickets :)

Canada Day on The Hill 07 - State of Shock, Default, Hedley, Finger Eleven, Daughtry, Staind, Nickelback

Ozzy Osbourne - Had a up and comer band named In The Moment that opened, Rob Zombie bailed on him though

Gigantour - High on Fire, Job For A Cowboy, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Megadeth

will be going to see the Eagles this summer (Taking my dad, he is a diehard fan)

Overall, I have to say the Canada Day one was the best, I liked all but one band, I knew alot of the songs, and the build-up was awesome, plus $60 for 7 bands, and only 10 feet from the stage was fucking awesome

Next was Ozzy, that dude is almost 60, and he still has it

Gigantour - In Flames stole that show IMO, it was all fucking awesome, COB played Angels dont kill, In Flames played Trigger, End of Things, Come Clarity, Only For The Weak, and Take This Life, the place fucking shook.

Then Great Big Sea, dont remember much, but they were all kinda cool, got to meet the lead singer, he was pretty cool.

Road Warrior 05-18-2008 03:43 PM

Pantera
Killswitch Engage
Type O Negative
Fear Factory
STP- getting ready to see them again as they are playing Carb Day at the Indy 500 and I now live there.
