Official 2006 All-Star game thread
Discuss future's game, home-run derby, how the NL is going to get spanked yadda yadda yadda here.
Also: glad to see Liriano gets in. |
Ozzie Guillen is heading up the American League right? I'd like to see what he has to say.
Actually I think hes going to a Madonna concert tomorrow
Oh man I kill me
Doesn't he go Bandido with his uzi on some fags on tuesday nights?
No. Why would he do that?
Let me go see who is in the HR Derby so I can inaccuratley guess who will win.
I'll say Cabrerra
I'd actually like to switch my vote to Papelbon
Ortiz will win the derby.

Do they do it like that? A tournament bracket thing? I thought all eight went and then the top two went again?
Anyway, on ESPN.com I voted for Ryan Howard so thats what I'll stay at. |
Howard won the Home run Derby and is on his way to becomming the next Bobby Abreu.
Well, hey being a Pirate Fan, can say this... Atleast our Stadium is great lol. I hope Howard doesnt turn out like Abreu, but all the theorist that blame the HRD for him falling off the Earth, thats just ridiculous.
Ortiz put like 5 balls into the river
freaking kid took 2 HR from david wright
And another year comes that I could care less about this game.
First all star game and stuff i saw was 1999 when Pedro wiped the floor with the NL and Mark McGwire hit about 200 home runs half way across Boston, that was pretty sweet even if he was blatantly injecting roids into his jeb-end
I dunno, kinda hard to picture Brad Penny shutting down that AL lineup.
My guess is AL wins it again, but the NL could score some runs if the worst All-Star in history (Mark Redman) gets put in the game for some reason. |

Mike Piazza hit a home run out into the parking lot at Dodger Stadium (at least once, maybe twice) which is pretty ridiculous
Question: They say "this game counts" and the winner gets homefield in the World Series and all, but what about some of the players that know they will not be going to the series (like Redman). Are they really playing 100%? Do they give a shit whether another player from another city that is playing with him gets homefield?
None of the players are playing 100% whether they're in a race or not

Was Brad Lidge the pitcher for the NL during the home run derby?

Just read in the paper Papelbon won't be pitching tonight

lol Vlad. You suck Penny
Rogers getting a head start on his annual second-half collapse
Luckily LoDuca hits like an old asian woman
Mets shining so far. That ball must have looked like a beachball to Wright. Beltran with great baserunning presense
lol Hoffman blew the save
God, I knew that would fucking happen as soon as Konerko hit that single.
Oh well, I figured AL would win anyway...I just wish they could have made it less depressing. Ah well, gonna try and get tix for Games 3, 4, and 5 at Shea now :shifty: |

I now see why Garner sucks
How do you not put Rolen in at 3rd? :o |
Are you serious? Quit acting like the managers and players care
Glaus with a clutch double, Wells gunning down Soriano, Ryan gets the win. Nice outting for my Jays
