After last week, and the new that Heyman has some input, I'm hyped for ECW tonight. Given I don't think there's a preview or anything, this is all I'ma put.

Music City gets extreme

ECW on Sci Fi will be live this week from Nashville, Tenn., which is known as "Music City USA." But after the events of the past few weeks, will the fans end up seeing a massacre in Music City?

In the main event, Kurt Angle will meet Sabu one on one for the first time ever in a No. 1 Contender's Match. The winner will become top contender to Big Show and the ECW World Title, an opportunity that both men no doubt covet wholeheartedly. In fact, this is a chance Sabu has been craving for several weeks.

Last week, Paul Heyman ordered Sabu to leave the Hammerstein Ballroom after once again denying his request for a match against Big Show. However, Sabu didn't obey Heyman's orders; he came to the ring after Big Show's match with Batista, attacking the champion with a chair and sending him crashing through a table at ringside.

One needs only to ask Tommy Dreamer or Little Guido what can happen when you are on Heyman's bad side. While he may be on a quest for a chance at the ECW World Title, will Sabu find himself in the same position...or better yet, will the Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Maniac care?

Plus, CM Punk made an impressive debut last week, defeating Justin Credible. The fans at Hammerstein Ballroom seemed to be behind the straight-edge Extremist; will he be in action this week to try and continue that momentum?

i guess though Heyman's creative control doesn't extend (at least not yet) to making all the matches no DQ.

I'm hoping they will eventually.

I think that vandamnitor was the worst Botch ever.

Sabu and Angel had a non extreme rules match, RVD ran in and tried to give Angle the Van Daminator but blotched it pretty bad. So while Angle was on the ground he gave him the leg drop with the chair, then Sabu was clapping over in the corner while this going on. RVD did the "Sabu point" to the sky while facing the crowd but then he turned around did the skateboard dropkick w/ the chair to Sabu who was sitting in the corner. Went off the air with no winner named

A fucking terribly botched Van Daminator followed by the most illogical skateboard ever. Solid return for RVD!

Ah well, he's back. Now things will get interesting

I'm beginning to get back into ECW, I went off it for a few weeks. I do like the buildup to what should be Dreamer/Sandman vs Test/Knox.

how many of the ME's from the new ECW have had a clean finish, or hell a legit finish?

I like ECW, but come on, this is getting WCW ridiculous

I haven't watched ECW sine the second show. I'm thinking I will now that Heyman (supposedly) has more power. Has the show improved over time or stayed about the same?

Also, the matches having DQ and shit really bugs me.

In all, I think that Van Dam's return would have been far more effective trying to get at Heyman and Show, although, seeing as how they appear to be holding off Van Dam for December, I guess they have to stretch it out.

I didn't notice that, but when Sabu hit the twisting moonsault Angle yelled out "layup" or "relapse" or something similar, which I suppose is the code for "cover, kick out".

Also, when Angle went for the second German, he yelled out "flip" or something and Sabu flipped.

I think that Angle may be accustom to where the cameras normally are and figured he was safe. Although why there was a live mic that sensitive and/or close I don't know.

This just in Angle has been fired.

Damnit, they need to make this whole weed bust thing into a story line. I mean it would be perfect ammo for Heyman after RVD's whiff of the Van Daminator last night. :lol:

I got a friend, who is a huge CM Punk mark. And he thinks that Punk/RVD would be the perfect storyline. Since you got Punk, who says he's drug free, then RVD who was already convicted.

Thorn wasn't too bad, hopefully after seeing more of his ring work I'll warm to him more.

They need to ditch all the 1 minute promos and just stick to one or two a night, that way they can squeeze one more match in there! With only 2/3 matches it's going to make it very hard to get more than 2 feuds going at the same time.

That's the problem with one hour of wrestling a week. Though TNA was packing it in pretty well for a while.

Explaining that you've had a difficult run of things doesn't make you an emo. By that logic, most people who have ever laced up a pair of boots would be emo. He's just trying to get over the fact that he is dedicated to wrestling.

Sounding like a whiny cunt while "This fire burns" might, though.

If how he sounded is considered whiny, and "This Fire Burns" is considered emo then I must really be out of touch with the world.

You know what they need? The old school pulp fiction promos where they run like ten promos at once. Those were awesome, and would work much better.
