Whats up with JR tonight?

Fire the guy (again)

Shadow 08-28-2006 11:58 PM

Why?

For all topical humor jokes throughout the show? Definitly needs to get his ass fired.

BigDaddyCool 08-28-2006 11:58 PM

Yeah, I have noticed him sucking in completely new ways. His metaphores suck.

McLegend 08-28-2006 11:59 PM

Like i'm a big JR mark but ever sinces he came back hes been horrible. Like worse then ever.

Also did he always make this many pop culture references?

I don't remeber him saying that much crap. He hasn't said anything about a chocolate turnbuckle tonight has he?

McLegend 08-29-2006 12:04 AM

no but he did mention BBQ chicken I think? Well it was BBQ something.

Yeah, it was chicken. Had something to do with McMahon liking cock.

McLegend 08-29-2006 12:07 AM

Yeah it so did kinda serve some purpose, but still JR was just off tonight.

It reminds me of when adults are having a conversation and some 12 year old tries to get in and says something that is kinda related but really has nothing to do with the actual conversation at hand. It is kinda sad that he has dropped that far.

Caged Heat18 08-29-2006 12:13 AM

He really is reaching new lows with each show.

McLegend 08-29-2006 12:15 AM

Actually... yeah.

Nervous Ferret 08-29-2006 12:16 AM

"I wouldn't like to go on a long car trip with her"

mrslackalack 08-29-2006 12:21 AM

He did say something accurate tonight.

Cenas getting a reaction here at Trump like WM 4 or 5. (which really at those wrestlemanias the crowds were not into it lol)

Crippla 08-29-2006 12:51 AM

I used to actually like JR but he really has been getting worse every time and has sucked since he came back even more.

jindrak 08-29-2006 01:01 AM

I have seen the future of wrestling commentary...the future is Josh Matthews.

Executioner 08-29-2006 01:20 AM

He called a reverse DDT a slopdrop. A name the godwins(dont remember which one and i dont care) used for it in the fucking mid-90's.

I swear to god, as soon as he said it, my eyes started bleeding.

Blitz 08-29-2006 02:35 AM

My psot really backfired here.

Blitz 08-29-2006 02:35 AM

But I am watching Raw now, and yes, JR has been excrutiating. I seem to recall something he said referencing the Pussycat Dolls as especially terrible.

Blitz 08-29-2006 03:07 AM

"Mickie James, who makes Lindsay Lohan look somewhat sane..."

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Blitz 08-29-2006 03:08 AM

Seriously, I dunno who got the idea that JR pop culture references=money, but I want to skin them alive.

Drakul 08-29-2006 03:17 AM

Probably someone similair to the Lidnsey Nagel character from the Simpsons.

BigDaddyCool 08-29-2006 04:02 AM

I also remeber him saying something about "this is a worse crime than James Gandolfini not getting nominated for an Emmy." And I'm like who the hell is that dude? Now I find out it is the guy from the Sopranos. Thanks JR for rubbing it in my face that I don't have HBO or whatever channel the Sopranos is on.

BTW, does HBO still show movies anymore? I mean it is Home Box Off, but it seems like all the do is make gritty dramas and Sex in the City any more. Sorry to get off track.

Blitz 08-29-2006 04:05 AM

The moral if the story is, JR is a son of a bitch.

Destor 08-29-2006 05:47 AM

J.R. had me cracking up with the whole Kennedy shtick. Pretty damn funny.

Pepsi Man 08-29-2006 06:13 AM

Honestly, I liked JR tonight. He wasn't his old self by any stretch of the imagination, but I thought it was alright.

Impeccable 08-29-2006 06:32 AM

I like Baked Beans.

BAH GAWD...HE JUST JR'd THIS THREAD...BAH GAWD...IT MAKES NO SENSE...BAH GAWD...THIS FORUM ISN'T MADE OUT OF CHOCOLATE YOU KNOW...

nope they used to be the top movie ch now now you are lucky to get 1 or 2 good movies a month. now skinomax has the best movies.

Petethegeekstreet 08-29-2006 09:11 AM

HBO owns Cinimax so it doesn't really matter. HBO for origional programming Max for movies/porn. Works for me.

I think that may have been the line that prompted me to make this thread

Azriel 08-29-2006 02:22 PM

I just couldn't believe he called Shawn Michaels Shane McMahon

He did a similiar thing at Wrestlemania in the match between Vince and Michaels, as he kept confusing Shawn and Shane.

St. Jimmy 08-29-2006 09:36 PM

He's being innovative when it comes down to sucking ass.

Jaton 08-29-2006 10:53 PM

That has to be the absolutely most annoying sig ever.

It had something to do with a delayde suplex or something of that nature and he said, "That took longer than Aid to Katrina!"

Nervous Ferret 09-01-2006 12:28 AM

ha the funniest JR thing I can remember was when Benoit was champ and one night on RAW HHH was doing commentary, and Benoit came up and was staring down HHH and

JR: Wow Chris Jericho seems to be staring you down
HHH: Yeah Benoit looks pretty pissed off too

dunno something like that, hilarious though

McLegend 09-01-2006 12:37 AM

Lol I remember that. Great stuff.

the Slop drop call from this past Raw though is all ready amongst my favortie JR moments ever.

Nervous Ferret 09-01-2006 12:40 AM

YOUR Hero 09-01-2006 12:41 AM

StImA34

Nervous Ferret 09-01-2006 12:43 AM

Randy: DO YOU CARE that the average rattlesnake usually goes 2-3 weeks between meals?
Jason: That explains the scientific name of "Niccoleus Richieus"

I can watch the same episode of Cheap Seats over and over
