New tag team they started to promo on tonight on rAW

I know that but what are the guys names and have they wrestled before?

Also, I had a flashback of The Gangstas when I saw this promo.

I thought the skit was pretty stupid.

'twill no doubt be one of the gimmicks that everyone hates right now but will be heaping praise upon in a month or so.

It's awesome, should be a great heel team. But I'm worried they will be pushed as face with a "lie, cheat, and steal" gimmick.

& that they are motivated by Eddie Guerrero's character and embody his spirit. Then Rey Mysterio will show up and say nobody can ride Eddie's coatails except for himself. Which will then bring out Chavo, who will be followed by Vickie.

Before we know it, we'll have another two months full of "Eddie" stuff that is not in good taste.

I quite enjoyed that video!

The voiceover made it hilarious though so I don't know how it will work past these promo vids! Hell it's another TAG TEAM for a division that seems to be getting it's bi-annual attention from the bookers. (No doubt they will debut, win a No. 1 Contender match, win the belts on their first try and split up once they lose them)

You know, on Smackdown, JBL even took a shot at the lackluster tag division (Prior to these new groups).

OF course, that was Smackdown's titles, but apparently, even we're supposed to be aware.

I think it's fucking priceless. It's politically incorrect, but who cares? It's parody.

I say give it time. If we can love a guy acting like a retard, we can eventually come to love this.

Nay for now. It seems to more of a stereotype than a parody. Maybe they will be entertaining, but I don't think so.

Without the VO I would say it seems like a stereotype. With the VO it is blatantly a parody!

The line between satire and offense is often a very blurred one.

Me? I barely paid attention to the promo. I didn't find it that funny, but I didn't find it any more racist than half of broadcast TV 90% of cable. Actually, I think they'd have to spend a two minute promo eating fried chicken, drinking malt liquor, and smoking pot while calling each other nigga ad nauseum to be more racist than cable.

I don't overtly hate the gimmick, but neither do I really like it.

The word 'meh' could have saved you some time.

Haha, I sort of did something similar on EWR. I made a team called the Thug Life Soldiers. Man they were hella over. Not sure how this gonna pan out though.

Gotta say, that was quite hilarious.

These guys aren't like The Gangstas in ECW, either. New Jack and Mustafa were posed as actual gangstas, while these guys are obviously a joke. Should be interesting to see how it pans out, and I think there might be some pretty comical promos in their future.

I didn't really think it was that funny, or offensive. However, it is another tag team on Raw so thats a plus, but I'll wait a few more weeks to formulate an opinion on them.

well I know a lot of you thought Eugene would be a stupid character to have on RAW...and since day 1 the crowd has loved him...I think that cryme tyme can be successful as a heel tag team for sure.

And amazingly, 90% of us went back to thinking it was stupid after the novelty wore off. And then the fans started turning on him in the arenas. Are you sure you don't want to pick a better example?

Sure, it's an example of "You might be surprised," But it didn't take very long for the surprise to wear off, and for business to return to usual. In other words, in the longterm, the naysayers were really right.

People thought matt hardy made the wrong decision when he went back to the WWE but hey he's the only one that beat kennedy 1 on 1

I hadn't watched Raw before reading this thread, and truely thought that it was said Cry Me Ty Me, and they were some sort of S&M tag team.

Now theres an idea.

I just hope now the WWE dosen't turn them into Cena's Lackys or members of the "Chain Gang"
