Lost: Season 3

Starts in about 2 weeks. We all know where we left off. With a big gigantic 4 toed statue.

I bought season 2 a few weeks ago to refresh and now I feel up to speed and nearly as angry as I felt. I am pumped. LETS DO THIS.

Blitz 09-21-2006 02:26 AM

Season 3 preview.

Buzzkill 09-21-2006 02:41 AM

I think there is something fucked up in my brain because I couldnt give 2 shits about lost all of a sudden. I was obsessed with it all through the first 2 seasons and into the summer, but now I have absolutely no interest in following up on the show for some reason.

It sucks, because i liked liking lost but I just cant gather any interest for it.

RoXer 09-21-2006 02:42 AM

WORD But then I re-watched season 2 in like 2 days so now I give a fuck.

Blitz 09-21-2006 02:48 AM

Way to kill the buzz, Buzzkill :n:

ClockShot 09-21-2006 07:46 AM

I'm psyched. But the only thing that pisses me off is that is starts LATE this season.

Pinnacle Charisma 09-21-2006 09:34 AM

Lost is so hot. If lost and 24 where not around TV would be so shit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncmL1ITR01U

That got me in the mood to get "LOST'

wwe2222 09-21-2006 11:09 AM

im psyched for it...its one of those shows that you have to put alot of attention into getting into it...after not watching it for a while it might feel like you dont want to bother...but once it starts and something happens, you'll be back in it...

also..since we only get around 7 episodes this fall....that should leave us with a somewhat sizable cliffhanger to carry us into the rest of season 3 later in the year...so they should be building up to something good with these first few episodes

Downunder 09-21-2006 11:16 AM

Can't wait for the first episode to be upped on Demonoid - I'll be fucked if I'm waiting for the local TV stations to catch up

St. Jimmy 09-21-2006 01:08 PM

I'm looking forward to it. Lots of good TEEVEE this season.

Boondock Saint 09-21-2006 03:58 PM

CAN'T WAIT. DESMOND MOTHERFUCKERSSSSSSSSS

RBM 09-21-2006 11:17 PM

Looking forward to it.

What sort've annoys me is that they announced they are toning down the mythology (which imo was at a low point as it is) and pumping up the action for the third season. Looking forward to seeing Desmond and Henry as regular characters though.

Dragon 09-21-2006 11:59 PM

Yeah, excited for it to start.

Hows does the whole schedule thing go? Someone said there is 7 episodes in the fall, and then how long is the break?

Boondock Saint 09-22-2006 12:07 AM

I believe it's like this:

6 episodes (starting Oct 4th). New show takes LOST's time slot for 13 weeks. Then 17 Episodes in a row (until the season finale in May).

Boondock Saint 09-22-2006 12:08 AM

I think that's better than what they've done the past two years, with 2 eps, 872364879364 week break, 1 ep, 029743748 week break etc. Christ that's annoying.

I wouldn't mind them trying it 24 style, starting in January and just going through til May. But then it would make the wait even longer...but it works great for 24.

Dragon 09-22-2006 12:10 AM

I dunno, kind of sucks only having 6 episodes and then nothing for 13 weeks. How it was last season was annoying as well though with 2 week breaks and then a new show then another break.

Boondock Saint 09-22-2006 12:17 AM

And sometimes it wasn't even for a new show, it was for REPEATS of Lost. I mean, WTF?

wwe2222 09-22-2006 09:51 AM

that made no sense last season at all...I cant tell you how many people I tried to get to watch the show who were turned off because they couldnt figure out when a new episode was etc,....id rather do it like they are this year...17 straight weeks of lost will be :y:

XL 09-22-2006 09:53 PM

American TV is really weird!

I guess it's one of the bonuses of having to wait for it to come over to the UK, we get all episodes on back-to-back weeks.

Only thing is...I don't wait! I download it once it's been on ib the states so that 13 week break is gonna kill me!

MVP 09-24-2006 01:21 AM

I hate it when shows do that. Either way I'm fucking pumped for this season.

KleptoKlown 09-24-2006 11:54 AM

I've been watching Season 2 again to get refreshed.

The way that the producers are all over the place...they're eventually going to paint themselves in a corner and kill the show.

For now though, I'm counting down the days until season 3

Dave Youell 09-24-2006 05:20 PM

i heard that this season is going to mainly focus on the others and there stories

Avenger 10-02-2006 08:04 PM

I will be ready and primed on wednesday morning to download it. Can't wait!

Boondock Saint 10-03-2006 11:15 PM

LESS THAN 24 HOURSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

XL 10-04-2006 12:29 PM

So it's on tonight in the US right!?

Which means I can download it tomorrow! Although I'll probably end up with a bunch of old episodes and porn like I did when I tried to download Smallville the other day!

Downunder 10-04-2006 07:26 PM

Use Demonoid for your torrents XL - you will never get a shitty quality episode or the wrong episode.

ClockShot 10-04-2006 09:01 PM

WOW. Hell of an opening!

DS 10-04-2006 09:01 PM

Blue Demon 10-04-2006 09:39 PM

This makes it pretty interesting

ClockShot 10-04-2006 10:00 PM

Well. It was worth the wait.

loopydate 10-04-2006 10:33 PM

Hoe. Lee. Shit.

This is going to be a fun year.

Boondock Saint 10-04-2006 11:14 PM

LOST is back!

Bazooka 10-04-2006 11:29 PM

it was cool, and a fresh perspective for the new season.

best show right now.

Buzzkill 10-05-2006 01:35 AM

Pretty good, I liked the opening alot.

RoXer 10-05-2006 01:37 AM

Poor Sawyer :(

el fregadero 10-05-2006 01:58 AM

No mention of that statue though.

RoXer 10-05-2006 02:09 AM

R0Xer1 (11:06:20 PM): Ben did not like the book by Stephen King that Juliet picked for the book club. The title was not revealed, but from screen captures two of the book club members were holding the Stephen King novel Carrie. Interestingly enough, when in the captivity of the castaways, Ben asks if they have any books by Stephen King.
R0Xer1 (11:07:03 PM): The song Jack listens to in his car radio while watching Sarah at her school is Moonlight Serenade, the same song Hurley and Sayid picked up on the radio in The Long Con.

Two little tidbits

Avenger 10-07-2006 09:08 AM

Fucking brilliant start.

The opening with the others in their village was amazing.

I hope we get more of Jack's backstory with his wife and his dad. Julie Bowen is awesome. Better in BL tho :y:

Downunder 10-07-2006 11:43 AM

It was indeed worth the wait

Boondock Saint 10-12-2006 08:29 AM

Loved the Red Sox thing.

Some of these Others just need to die. Especially Juliet...her smugness makes me eagerly await a bullet in her head.

So Ben has been on the island his whole life? They have contact with the outside world and know how to get off the island? AHHHHHHH.

Desmond next week.

wwe2222 10-12-2006 11:36 AM

As much as I had to hate watching it, the Red Sox scene was a great scene. I really enjoyed Sawyer's intereactions tonight with the guy watching over him...

Sawyer: Question Boss

Other: You dont get a question

Sawyer: She got a question

Just his tone and the voice he had while doing it made me laugh.

Too bad we will have to wait a couple weeks to see this Jack situation resolved.

Also, it seems like Kate could have easily taken the gun from Juliette? There is more there than it seems.

Boondock Saint 10-18-2006 06:55 PM

Tonight we find out wtf happened to Eko, Desmond and Locke (wasn't Charlie there too?) after the hatch blew up, and see what Hurley is up to on his way back to camp from the Others.

After tonight's episode, we will be halfway through the "first half" of the season. I remember reading that these 6 episodes will pretty much be self-contained, resolving the cliffhangers from the season finale and obviously setting up shit for the show's return in February.

Can't waittttttttttttt.

Avenger 10-18-2006 07:16 PM

ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.

Had to continue your sentiment there as I agree.

DESMOND!

Boondock Saint 10-18-2006 08:28 PM

Desmond = ratings

MVP 10-18-2006 10:44 PM

So what do you guys think happened to cause Desmond to wake up naked in the jungle? Besides the implosion.

Boondock Saint 10-18-2006 11:25 PM

I dunno, but I'm certainly curious as to how the fuck he knew about Locke's speech before he gave it.

I'm pretty tired of the flashbacks. All I care about is how Locke got in the wheelchair, and maybe a few more flashbacks about Eko and Desmond. Aside from that, I don't care. Unless we start getting flashbacks from some of the Others.

RoXer 10-19-2006 12:31 AM

Was that Goodwin or am I confusing people?

Lock Jaw 10-19-2006 01:00 AM

Desmond is from the FUTURE. The island is his time machine. I think my theory has to be the best on the net.

Blitz 10-19-2006 01:01 AM

Was who Goodwin?

And I guess the hatch implosion made Desmond psychic/clairvoyant or sumthin.

el fregadero 10-19-2006 01:02 AM

If that's your whole theory, then you are not even close, Lock Jaw.

Boondock Saint 10-19-2006 01:02 AM

When? (in response to RoXer)

el fregadero 10-19-2006 01:03 AM

Also, the giant four-toed half-leg statue is still unexplained.

RoXer 10-19-2006 02:41 AM

In Locke's flashback, the main guy at the head of the table at dinner.

RoXer 10-19-2006 02:43 AM

Bro, we are never going to find out about that statue. We are never going to find out about that monster. We are never going to find out about Kate's horse. JUST DEAL WITH IT.

Seriously though, I hope when they reveal how Locke's handicapddedness it happens in like the last season or the last show or something because that is one of the bigger questions and I'm kind of glad they aren;t addressing it.

Blitz 10-19-2006 02:46 AM

That's how people look in the future! My theory is rock solid!!

Dragon 10-19-2006 10:31 PM

Yeah, who was that head guy at the table? I am pretty positive I've seen him somewhere on the show.

RoXer 10-19-2006 10:32 PM

I still think it was Goodwin.

Boondock Saint 10-19-2006 11:28 PM

It wasn't Goodwin. It looked a lot more like Zeke/Mr. Friendly/Dude with the beard, but it wasn't the same actor.

Pinnacle Charisma 10-19-2006 11:44 PM

They will reveal the stature, kate horse etc but it makes no sense if they reveal it now.

Thats why Lost is so great because it has so many questions but it dosnt do the stupid thing and blow its load at once

wwe2222 10-20-2006 02:53 PM

I liked this episode alot!

The dream sequence was very well done with the positioning of everybody on the show in specific places in the airport.

XL 10-22-2006 05:46 PM

Is everyone still hot for Lost?

I seem to be losing faith in the series. Word has it they have enough "ideas" for 7 seasons! I don't think they could stretch it out that long. Honestly I hope they call an end to it after this third season (although I know they won't as Sky have purchsed the rights to seasons 3 and 4).

Obviously I'm not the only one who feels the same as ratings have dropped from around 4 million to as little as 1.9. (UK stats)

I just wondered what everyone here was thinking about it!?

Boondock Saint 10-22-2006 06:19 PM

I can't get enough of this show.

Blue Demon 10-22-2006 06:30 PM

Lost is good stuff :y:

The Power 10-22-2006 06:32 PM

The Power enjoys Lost RRRRRRRAAAAARRRRR *shakes Sascha's arm*

Jon Kano 10-22-2006 08:45 PM

I am loving this new theory on the C4 lost message board, first off it is full of idiots and viewers who know nothing of what lost is really about, but one guy has this theory that the magnetic anomoly behind the wall in the hatch was infact a teleporter, which explains why Charlie was confused at the end of season 2 and why he was suprised Locke, Eko and Des hadn't returned, and it explains why Desmond heard the speech before it actually happened.

They guy also says in another episode we find out what happened between the implosion and the start of Further Instructions, in which we will prob see Des stumble apon himself at a different time and take his own clothes off him, which is why he was naked in Further Instructions. Something like that anyway. Im creaming with theories right now.

RBM 10-23-2006 12:59 AM

<3 Lost.

I thought the dream sequence was pretty poorly done. =\ I'm too lazy to check who directed that episode, but he was way too spastic with the camera, IMO.

All the actors are under contract for 6 seasons. That's not to say it'll go that long, but that's what they are contracted for. Go to imdb.com and read the link on the bottom with a fairly extensive interview with all the exec producers and they talk a lot about how they don't want to pull a Twin Peaks or an X-Files and go too long or just get stupid with things.

Also, I'm assuming the numbers in England are going lower and lower because a lot of people are just downloading the new episodes off the net right when they come out in America. Although... numbers are also dwindling in the US but they're overall still pretty solid.

Blitz 10-23-2006 01:24 AM

Dunno why so many people are saying this season is a let down so far. I think it's been as good as the others so far.

You really thought it was poorly done? I thought it was great with where each character was placed and what each character was doing and who they were interactcing with...everything there had a meaning and I didnt think it was wasted

ClockShot 10-25-2006 09:31 PM

Damn. They literally threw a ticking time bomb in Sawyer. And they are forcing Jack to play doctor.

The Greater Power 10-25-2006 09:52 PM

lol, all these people on the ABC Lost boards are complaining that this season sucks and that this episode is "too violent".

Boondock Saint 10-26-2006 02:02 AM

lol.

Good eppy.

Buzzkill 10-26-2006 06:17 PM

pretty tight episode.

I like any episode with a sawyer flashback, cause theres always some mad twist about who's getting conned and by who.

I'm liking the pace of this season better than season 2 TBH

RBM 10-27-2006 12:19 AM

People are complaining about violence?

First people complained last year about too much mythology thrown in, not enough action.

Now people are complaining about too much action/violence?

Do they honestly just want this to turn into a shitty soap opera and speculate on which guy Kate will make out with next? Girls need to stop watching television.

Avenger 10-27-2006 07:06 PM

"Girls need to stop watching television"

QUOTE OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE RIGHT HERE

I love you RBM

Boondock Saint 11-01-2006 08:36 PM

Well it's rumored that tonight SPOILER (highlight) a major character dies, and the biggest rumor I've read so far is it's Eko.

Can't say I'll be happy about that, if true. I'd prefer it to be
Charlie or Claire.

Still can't wait.

ClockShot 11-01-2006 09:23 PM

Probably that (spoilers) that one chick that wanted to tag along

OOOOOH. (spoilers) The black fog appeared again. Anybody figure that out?

Blitz 11-01-2006 09:57 PM

Well, that was fucked up.

ClockShot 11-01-2006 10:03 PM

"You're next"

The fuck's gonna happen, the black fog is gonna be Goldberg or some shit?

Anywho, looks like the others want Jack to botch the surgery to Ben. Not quite sure how Sawyer and Kate are gonna end up.

RBM 11-01-2006 11:19 PM

Meh. His character went from interesting at first, to annoying. Locke needs to go back to being interesting as well. Remember when he would give everyone advice and had this aura of mystery about him? Maybe they'll move back in that direction. He was pretty terrible in season 2.

I'm not sure if it's coincidence, but it seems like we can tell who is going to be offed on the show by just paying attention to which actors/actresses get driving infractions. :p

Blitz 11-01-2006 11:22 PM

LOL yeah, forgot Eko got arrested or whatever.

RIP all the Tailies.

Pinnacle Charisma 11-01-2006 11:34 PM

Remember Bernard.

Eko was so the man. He could have easily become one of the most popular characters on the show along with Locke and Sawyer.

And is anyone else pissed off with this Paulo guy?
He just seems like a crapper version of Sawyer.

Blitz 11-01-2006 11:36 PM

He's been in like 2 episodes for a combined screen time of aout 10 minutes. Give him time.

Pinnacle Charisma 11-01-2006 11:43 PM

It just shits me that they kill of all these great characters (Eko, Boone, Shannon, libby) and replace them with medicore characters that are played by shit actors

RoXer 11-01-2006 11:54 PM

Do I really have to point out that the glass eye belongs to the guy with eyepatch or did we all catch that?

Boondock Saint 11-02-2006 01:48 AM

Bye Eko. You shall be missed.

Good episode however. 1 left until February.

I actually didn't think about that. I just figured it was one of those things they just kinda dropped

Avenger 11-03-2006 08:17 AM

BTW here is my theory.

Ben does NOT have a tumor. Why would he just leave his X-Rays lying there by chance?

It's clearly a plan between him and that other bitch. Ben reveals the plan he originally had to Jack, so Jack now feels he is in control. He becomes closer to that other bitch and I don't know what will happen when he has to operate on him...

Buzzkill 11-04-2006 02:31 PM

I'm pretty sure that this is the first time the others are being genuine, and not trying to go forward with some massive experiment on Jack or whatever. Only reason I say this is because he was asking Juliette how he saw the x-rays when Jack wasnt there to hear him, and theres no reason to continue the act if he isnt around.

Avenger 11-04-2006 03:20 PM

Hmm, good point. But they might have made the plan after they knew Jack had seen the X-Rays.

what, it was a very exciting ep,

pretty sweet how Jack held the others hostage during the procedure to meet his demands, very interesting, didn't think he'd do this.

really pumped for the next airings of this season, but that's not until Feb, pretty long wait but it'll be worth it.

FearedSanctity 11-08-2006 10:30 PM

I just hate how nothing really interesting happens until the last 10 minutes, and even still, it was a pretty weak (for me anyways) 10 minutes this episode. They were supposed to make me excited and impatient for when it continues in February, but I can honestly care less. I'll still watch, but the break won't pain me like I thought it would before this season started.

RBM 11-08-2006 10:37 PM

I kinda wanted to see Sawyer get offed in the last minute but oh well.

FearedSanctity 11-08-2006 10:43 PM

Nah, Sawyer has to stay. I love Kate and all, but I really think she needs to go. Really not much left for her, and as long as she's there we're forever doomed to the Sawyer or Jack thing. Which was fine at first, but is now just beyond gay.

I really wanted Jack seeing Kate and Sawyer cause him to join the Others. Sure, it might have been expected, but you can't say it wouldn't make things a hell of a lot more interesting.

RoXer 11-08-2006 10:58 PM
