Earnest "The Cat" Miller has been released from the WWE

We have just been told by several backstage sources that Ernest 'The Cat' Miller was informed of his WWE release at the SmackDown! tapings last night in Tacoma, WA. Miller had been on commentary on Velocity for several months prior to being moved to SmackDown! as a full time worker.

Miller is the latest name to join the likes of Zach Gowen and Chris Kanyon who have both been cut as well.

More cuts are coming, trust us when we tell you that.

Well... that was a waste of time. I knew as soon as the Cat made his debut, that he wasn't going to cut it in the WWE. His dancing was not cool. He didn't even wrestle a televised one on one match. Why? .... anyways

That honestly kind of surprises me. I heard that Vince liked the Cat, and he usually keeps folks like that around regardless of whether or not they're over with the crowd (Read: Billy Gunn)

Still, at least now there's only one dancing buffoon who wastes all of our timewhen he's on screen; too bad he's one of the Tag Team Champions.

-- Miller (unlike Kanyon, who is fully released, has had a message posted on WWE.com about it and who has made a statement) appears to have not been given his official release, contrary to a report circulated by journalists (me being one of which) yesterday.

-- As soon as I get more information in the next couple of days, it will be posted on this newsboard

My most memorable moment of The Cat was when Lance Storm was just starting to put together Team Canada and he had all the titles. Well the Cat always kept getting in his business cause he was the comish or something. Then one Nitro Team Canada was beating up somebody and the Cat and Elix Skipper went in to make the save. Then Elix turned on the Cat and gave him that "Roll the Dice" move and planted him right into the Mat. That was good times.

Save some for me.
