NCAA Basketball 2006-2007 Thread

Has the season started yet? I have not heard one person say when the season is actually starting and there have been like a million games played but I have no idea if they are preseason or what. Like there has been the EA 2KSports Challenge and a bunch of games between real teams but I have no idea if they count or not. Maryland is playing Florida A&M tonight BUT I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT MATTERS.

But if it hasn't started then it starts soon I guess.

Anyway, go NC State

Crippla 11-12-2006 08:00 PM

I can't believe Duke is ranked so low. :n:

RoXer 11-12-2006 08:46 PM

Starts this week.

BCWWF 11-12-2006 09:10 PM

We are 3-0, but I wouldn't be surprised if we had the weakest non-conference schedule of any big conference school. This weekend it was North Carolina A&T, Army and Stetson. Coming up is Lipscomb, Davidson, and many similar.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-12-2006 10:23 PM

My friend is a manager for the Duke team this year lol

RoXer 11-12-2006 10:28 PM

Hot game between Virgina and UA tonight.

Joey Slugs 11-12-2006 10:30 PM

UNC
Florida
Wisconsin
UCLA

I'm going with those teams as my pre-season final 4.

ClockShot 11-12-2006 10:39 PM

UCONN Women are gonna kick it off tomorrow against Richmond. We're ranked #8 in the country.

The men are 1-0 right now and are starting at a miserable #18 in the country.

Should be a good season.

Are you gay

Crippla 11-12-2006 10:58 PM

No, what's wrong with those teams? I also like BC for college basketball.

Joey Slugs 11-13-2006 12:01 PM

I think CC just makes it up as he goes along.

Crippla 11-13-2006 07:53 PM

No, I've always been a fan of these teams.

FakeLaser 11-13-2006 07:54 PM

SHU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-13-2006 09:58 PM

BC is gonna be good, losing Craig Smith is gonna hurt them tho

BCWWF 11-16-2006 01:04 AM

Craig Smith has been surprisingly really solid for the Wolves this year, one of the few bright points.

RoXer 11-17-2006 02:57 AM

I once overheard a cell phone conversation with Chase Budinger and his mother abobut how to deposit money into an ATM.

RoXer 11-22-2006 01:18 AM

Savio 11-24-2006 01:24 PM

should be stickied IMO

BCWWF 11-24-2006 08:01 PM

Yeah, somebody will get around to it. It seems kind of like a slow start to college basketball season this year, Florida vs. kansas should be great though.

Might be the greatest 2 weeks in Butler Men's Basketball history.

Irish? Hoosiers? Vols? Zags? WHAT?

BCWWF 11-25-2006 05:20 AM

Jeeze, how many D-1 schools does Indiana have?

RP 11-25-2006 05:27 PM

Hmm lets see. Ball St., Indiana St., Purdue, Indiana, Butler, Notre Dame, Valparaso. I wanna say IUPUI, cause they went to the tournament a couple of years ago, but i'm not sure if they're considered 1a or not.

BCWWF 11-25-2006 06:47 PM

Is Holy Cross there, or is Indiana's a juco?

Joey Slugs 11-25-2006 09:38 PM

BTW: Florida over Kansas tonight. Yeah.

BCWWF 11-25-2006 09:40 PM

This game is getting surprisingly little play. I guess dumbass kansas lost to Oral Roberts, but still, one of the biggest games in non-conference IMO. Go Florida, kick the shit out of kansas.

Joey Slugs 11-25-2006 09:45 PM

Amen.

The next best non-conference game is in February when UA plays UNC.

RoXer 11-26-2006 10:42 PM

Also, last week's game, there were 70 students there. Out of a section of 3,000.

BCWWF 12-02-2006 09:09 PM

HAHAHAHAHAHAH FUCK kansas! First Oral Roberts at home, now DePaul, who have absolute shit for a home court advantage. What pieces of shit, and they signed Bill Self until 2011 or something. This team is going to choke, again, because they are all pieces of shit.

RP 12-03-2006 06:04 AM

HAHA Kansas and Marquette lost. MOVE THE BULLDOGS ON UP!

BCWWF 12-03-2006 06:18 AM

kansas has got to fall considerably after this. I mean they beat Florida, or you could basically say Florida beat themselves, but then ku has two losses against average mid-majors, neither of which is projected as a tournament team.

Joey Slugs 12-03-2006 01:18 PM

Anybody see Greg Oden's debut last night. 14 points, 10 rebs., 5 blks, while playing with an immobilized right hand. He's right handed btw.

He might be 35 years old but he is a MONSTER

BCWWF 12-22-2006 02:12 PM

OSU is going to be pretty f'ing good this year. After OSU, ATM and kansas though, the Big 12 is pretty open still. Texas doesn't look like they have it yet, Tech is struggling, as is K-State.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-24-2006 03:22 AM

lol wow Florida pissed on Ohio State today

BCWWF 12-24-2006 03:50 AM

I think Florida has got to be the overwhelming favorite still to win the championship. kansas is a joke, if Florida is healthy in March they would take that match. They have so many good players, including big men, that I don't see any team standing in their way.

YOUR Hero 01-02-2007 01:33 AM

going to unsticky this topic

BCWWF 01-02-2007 05:20 AM

Why? The conference season is just about to start and NCAA football is over. College basketball is quite possibly the biggest winter sport in the US after the NFL is done. I think it should be stickied.

BCWWF 01-21-2007 12:56 PM

Well it is going to be a pretty crazy year, if I can judge so far. There are three teams that look pretty much a lock to be No. 1 seeds: Florida, UCLA and Wisconsin. For some reason I never have faith in Wisconsin basketball, but I think this year they should be legit. I expect at least two of those three teams to be in the Final Four.

Then there are some second tier teams right behind: North Carolina, Pitt, Ohio State, A&M, Oregon, Alabama and Kansas. I have no idea how it will all end up, but a Florida repeat is my prediction.

Also, the Big 12 is making it's return as a power conference again. Kansas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Texas could all potentially make the Elite 8. With Durant, Texas could be a big darkhorse. If Kansas can get up and win their first two rounds, they have the talent to easily reach the Final Four. Oklahoma State also has a lot of potential, with Boggan (I think that's his name) and Curry.

It sucks I can't watch a lot of these, but it seems like it will be a real good season.

OssMan 02-12-2007 06:10 PM

Duke unranked lol

BCWWF 02-13-2007 08:46 AM

McLegend 02-25-2007 06:58 PM

Pretty good ending

I really want the Sixers to lose every game from now until the end of the season just so they can get Oden.

They won't though.

Supreme Olajuwon 03-01-2007 07:56 PM

Oden said he's leaning toward staying another year

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-01-2007 08:13 PM

lol Celtics will get the #2 pick now and get a stiff who will suck (Oden stays, Durant goes #1)

BCWWF 03-01-2007 10:36 PM

Brenden Wright, Julien Wright and Jaokim Noah would be among the ones they take, but that would suck for the Celtics. Durant and Oden are the real deal, those other guys could/will probably be career Stromile Swifts.

McLegend 03-01-2007 11:10 PM

That Texas/Texas A & M game was fantastic. So many clutch shots. Kevin Durant is sick

Oden should go the NBA he would make so much money, but whatever Sixers aren't gonna get the 1st pick anyway.

OssMan 03-04-2007 07:14 PM
