Official ECW Thread (November 21, 2006): Extreme Enemies

Recently, Paul Heyman extended an invite to Matt and Jeff Hardy to appear on ECW on Sci Fi. The brothers haven't competed together in nearly five years. Will the former members of Team Xtreme accept his offer?

Also, it has been learned that Rob Van Dam and Hardcore Holly will face off in an Extreme Rules Match this week. After weeks of turmoil, what will happen when there are no rules to stand in the Extremists' way?

Heyman kicked off the last ECW on Sci Fi announcing that the sixth and final man to join the other competitors in December to Dismember’s Extreme Elimination Chamber would be determined.

Lashley made sure his signature ended up on the contract as he tossed Hardcore Holly like a rag doll, marched to the ring, then speared Big Show on the way. Will the ECW World Champion be able to regain some pride in time for his team's big match against John Cena's team at Survivor Series?

In addition to Lashley's big night on the last ECW on Sci Fi, Mike Knox had another chance at getting out his jealous aggression toward CM Punk. Knox, however, fell short again. Kelly smiled through the whole match and rooted her boyfriend's opponent on. Will Knox continue going after Punk after witnessing Kelly's reaction, or has he learned his lesson?

After his match CM Punk reasserted that his strategy to obtain the ECW World Title involves only himself. Along with the other Extremists set to compete in the Extreme Elimination Chamber, Punk stormed the ring during Lashley and Holly's match in the night's main event. All of the men exchanged blows, showing no allegiance. Will the upcoming competition spark new rivalries?

Finally, Daivari and The Great Khali continued their domination as they rolled through ECW Original Tommy Dreamer. Another new Extremist, Elijah Burke, faced his first challenge as he substituted for Tazz at the announceers' table. What is next for these new additions to the ECW roster?

Find out the answers to all of these questions and more next week at 10/9 CT on ECW on Sci Fi.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 09:58 PM

Hardy Boys reunion, and a rematch between Holly/RVD in an extreme rules match.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 09:59 PM

Striker is about to get squashed.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 09:59 PM

Yeah he is. Poor Striker.

The Genius 11-21-2006 10:01 PM

definitely watching tonight to see the hardy boyz in action again

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:01 PM

Oh man, you don't break a teacher's chalk board.

Might not in the future, but I'll be here a little tonight.

El Fangel 11-21-2006 10:09 PM

For the first time in months, I actually wish I could watch wrestling :(

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:10 PM

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:10 PM

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:14 PM

Jeff aint doing too much after last nights match.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:15 PM

Damn, that was a pretty good new move.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:15 PM

That was a fun a little match.

Destor 11-21-2006 10:18 PM

This is coming from someone who really hates Jeff Hardy: Good match.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:23 PM

Vampire v Straight Edge time.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:25 PM

Quite the difference of life styles.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:25 PM

Kelly Kelly always looking good.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:26 PM

Catfight!!!!

Destor 11-21-2006 10:28 PM

Not bad there, the Punk/Knox storyline has progressed quite well. Fine job by the E.

Mr. Nerfect 11-21-2006 10:29 PM

So what's happened so far? Matt Striker faced someone (I'm going to guess Bobby Lashley), The Hardyz beat The FBI and CM Punk no doubt defeated Kevin Thorn? Have I got that right?

I hope they have Six-Pack Elimination Match next week, to decide the order for the Extreme Elimination Chamber. Things are getting closer, has anything else been named for December to Dismember?

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:30 PM

Your pretty much right on the money Alienoid. And no nothing else has been announced for December to Dismember.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:33 PM

Lol Big Show mocking the "what" chants.

Mr. Nerfect 11-21-2006 10:35 PM

I'm still holding onto hope that they'll have Chris Benoit vs. Dean Malenko in an Eddie Guerrero Tribute Match. It doesn't require a storyline, just put them in the ring and let them wrestle. :y:

The Sandman vs. Matt Striker in a Singapore Caning Match would make a lot of sense. It's not like either man has anything better to do. They should just make the night special by bringing back the ECW Tag Team Championship and ECW Television Championship. ECW seems like it's fucked beyond that.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:37 PM

Yeah, I would expect Striker vs. Sandman to be on the card, but other than that they really have no feuds built at all. I am really not sure what they are going to do to fill out the rest of the card.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:38 PM

It is odd of how there has been no undercard booked. Where the hell is the Sandman? He should be on there somehow too.

Destor 11-21-2006 10:38 PM

ECW was always like that. You have like one or two big matches and the rest just happened out of nowhere.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:39 PM

*Bows down to the whole f'n show R-V-D*

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:40 PM

I'm hoping this rematch is as good as the first one.

Mr. Nerfect 11-21-2006 10:42 PM

I can see Tommy Dreamer looking for revenge on Daivari, so that could be a match. Maybe have it under Extreme Rules, or something? Mike Knox and Hardcore Holly will probably have respective matches. I don't know who they will face, though. Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay vs. The Full Blooded Italians?

Destor 11-21-2006 10:43 PM

A lot of former ECW talent will be on the show, not just the current roster.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:43 PM

Almost got through an entire show without seeing Test.

Mr. Nerfect 11-21-2006 10:44 PM

I must admit, it would be pretty sweet if ECW didn't announce anything except the Extreme Elimination Chamber, and just had the rest of the card decided on the night. It'd make for a fun evening, to say the least.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:44 PM

I would bet they will have some Raw and Smackdown guys on the card.

On top of Chris Benoit vs. Dean Malenko (which probably won't happen, but I can dream), I did picture Daivari vs. The Undertaker, but with broken ribs, I doubt that will happen.

I can see The Hardy Boyz being on the card, maybe Jeff could defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against someone?

Mr. Nerfect 11-21-2006 10:50 PM

I can see Mickie James defending the Women's Championship against Jazz, as well. That would be a nice little match.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 10:52 PM

This card is kinda hard to predict. For me in the fantasy league, I would hate to guess on the card, since ppv's get the most points.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 10:59 PM

Ooh a superplex on a chair.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 11:00 PM

RVD stays in the chamber.

Destor 11-21-2006 11:02 PM

Not a bad little match. Decent show.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 11:03 PM

ECW usually tends to be a fun hour of wrestling, and tonight was no different. Good show.

RGWhat316 11-21-2006 11:07 PM

Hell yeah, RVD wins again! Vince may not want him to be champion, but it could still happen.

I don't believe that rumor. Still though, hard to bet against Bobby Lashley at this point.

Mr. Nerfect 11-21-2006 11:10 PM

I think it will depend on the ratings the show gets, and pops Bobby Lashley received. If he's more over than RVD at this point, I think it'll be Lashley who wins the Title. If the fans are still more into RVD, I expect to see him regain it.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 11:41 PM

I'm thinking it will be Lashley, but I still havn't completly ruled out RVD winning the title back.

What Would Kevin Do? 11-22-2006 12:45 AM

You know, I wonder if Mike Knoxx will somehow get a face turn out of this. Granted, he came off as a douche', all he wanted was for his girl not to show people her shit... Now she's blatantly hanging out with another guy. Knoxx is suppose to be the heel, but the way they were showing him staring seemed to me like you were suppose to pity him...

I thought that too when I was watching it. That would be an interesting turn of events.

Pepsi Man 11-22-2006 01:57 AM

Was I the only one that caught the TNA chant?

ron the dial 11-22-2006 03:29 AM

I don't care if Knox turns face once this whole Kelly Kelly angle is over, but not while he's feuding with Punk. Punk needs to stay face for a long time to get himself over with the fans as much as possible, so that when he turns no one sees it coming. He's so much more enjoyable as a heel.

I agree. I like the idea though that he starts doing dickish things, like taking Knoxx's girlfriend, maybe getting a cheap pin in the elimination chamber, etc.

Meanwhile have Knoxx as a sort of heartbroken heel, basically kicking people's ass, but with no motivation. Everyone sees him as a villian, yet love CM Punk as he does dickish things. Then when Punk does finally turn, you can have Knoxx take a strong stand against him, being the "good guy who was screwed over."

In a sense, use the Punk heel turn, which should be fairly huge, to also turn Knoxx into a fairly huge face.
