Sec 108, Row M

Don't know If i'll bring a sign or not.

This is my first show that is not a house show.

Avenger 12-05-2006 12:04 PM

It's in the Kemper Arena, right?

That's where Owen died...

wonder if they'll even acknowledge it?

Avenger 12-05-2006 12:04 PM

Spare a thought for him when you're there Diesel. Very few others in the arena will.

Afterlife 12-05-2006 03:53 PM

Oh, please. The man is dead, Avenger. Let him rest. He's no Eddie Guererro, man.

Shadow 12-05-2006 04:21 PM

I'm so so so sorry for you.

Afterlife 12-05-2006 04:33 PM

Sorry for whom?

LoDownM 12-05-2006 04:35 PM

Mr. Mac, I demand you start posting more

AJHayes 12-05-2006 05:37 PM

I'd suggest demanding your money back already.

Corkscrewed 12-05-2006 06:05 PM

...I concur.

Altho how much to seats sell for these days? Can't be as much as they used to, right?

Cuz if they are.. man, what a rip off.

Skippord 12-05-2006 06:05 PM

UUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMAGAAAAAAAAA vs JOHN CENA main event

AWESOME

Londoner 12-05-2006 06:53 PM

What a waste of money...

Jeritron 12-05-2006 07:11 PM

Its not exactly gonna be Wrestlemania 17, but I'm sure you'll be entertained. Being there for a PPV always makes it better. And at least the Wrestlemania build up is heatin up. Plus its your first non-house show event so it'll be fun for you.
I always find a WWE live event to be a good time, and worth the money. How much did you pay Mac? 40 bucks?

36 bucks a piece.

This is probably the only chance I have for a long while to see a live PPV so I figured what the hell. Wish it was the Rumble but oh well.

Blitz 12-06-2006 02:44 AM

Don't bring a sign.

Rammsteinmad 12-06-2006 10:10 AM

Take a sign saying "Can I have a refund?" or something.

That's pretty damned reasonable considering the fact that its $40 bucks to watch it at home.

And even if it does suck, the fact that you're at a live ppv event means that you are far more likely to get into it.

Personally, I'm so going to see the Survivor Series next year in Montreal. I was there in '97, and I'll be there again in '07.

NeanderCarl 12-07-2006 12:53 AM

Man, looking at that arena plan, it's amazing just how many seats WWE loses out on by erecting an enormous stage. Okay, a show like New Year's Revolution will probably only just sell out if they're lucky, but WrestleMania! That's the grandest stage of them all! (Pun intended)

Especially if you think back to the hot period of 1998-2001. They could have sold out any stadium for a WrestleMania, yet they're cutting off a huge number of seats by having that giant stage.

Imagine if they'd had a gigantic stage at WrestleMania 3, or SummerSlam 92. The numbers wouldn't have seemed quite as impressive as they did (be they genuine or made up out of the clear blue sky)

Jeritron 12-07-2006 02:49 AM

Yea but the business has evolved to a point where an impressive entrance stage is an important part of the show.
If they could have had huge entrance ways in the old days, they would have. Now that they exist, you almost have to impress people with the new one.

Destor 12-07-2006 03:03 AM

Hope you have fun Diesel. :-\

What so you don't think it's worth the 3 1/2 hour drive?

Team Sheep 12-07-2006 03:30 PM

Have fun. :)

St. Jimmy 12-07-2006 04:14 PM

It'll be fun, and maybe Umaga and Cena will actually pull of a great match. Still getting jipped because of that Extreme Elimination Chamber crap match stealing it from RAW, but I'm betting you'll also get RKO vs. DX for the Tag Belts, MNM vs. Hardys in a (insert gimmick here) or WGTT vs. Cryme Time, Carlito vs. Masters, Mickie vs. Vicky for the Women's title (match of the night, probably) and something else I'm sure.

St. Jimmy 12-07-2006 04:15 PM

WWE's trying to rebook a Tag Division. Wow.

D Mac 01-07-2007 01:08 PM

OK I'm off! WOOOO see you fuckers on the flip side!

Loose Cannon 01-07-2007 01:19 PM

I dunno, I'd prob cry if I had to watch a WWE show live these days.

But have fun

jindrak 01-07-2007 01:24 PM

poor guy. Having to sit through a WWE PPV. :'(

McLegend 01-07-2007 02:00 PM

I think this show is gonna be pretty good.

Seriously

ChiefStubbs 01-07-2007 02:31 PM

Bring a sign that has something to do with Owen, man.

So do I, its just the main event that brings the card down though. The samoan thumb v the FU. Hmmm, whatever happened to finishers that looked like finishers?

You mean like the Heart Punch and the Big Boot?

Londoner 01-07-2007 02:49 PM

^ Atleast back then there were some decent finishers around tho. Barely any these days, can only think of about 5.

Anaconda Vice
Crossface
Pedigree
Celtic Cross

Not "decent" enough for you?

.44 Magdalene 01-07-2007 03:22 PM

LOL, he said he could only think of about five...so you named off four.

Anybody Thrilla 01-07-2007 03:46 PM

Hey, that's about where I sat for Backlash, except on that diagram, I was more like 104, right across from 108. Pretty good seats, really. I wasn't going to order this, but now that I know that I have a slight chance of seeing Diesel Mac, I will order it for sure. :y:

Yeah, he edited after I posted. Hence it not being in the quote.

*Glass shatters*

JR: BAH GAWD IT'S DIESEL MAC! AND BAH GAWD HE HAS A COOLER OF BUD ICE! BAH GAWD IT'S A PARTY!

D Mac 01-08-2007 02:40 PM

Just got back. Pretty fun for a mediocre show. And standing in the cold waiting to get in for about an hour and a half. Oh well.

Also, we saw Carlito and Torrie at Sonic! Somebody yelled out "Carlito!" and he just smiled and bolted in his truck and drove away.

Londoner 01-08-2007 02:43 PM

^ What was it like when HHH injured himself and Orton ran out? What was the reaction then from the crowd?

Pretty quiet as we all knew he did something to his knee.

Anybody Thrilla 01-08-2007 02:47 PM

Perhaps that was just someone who looked exactly like Carlito. :shifty:
