I would like to see Davey & Owen inducted together this year.
I'm betting Austin will be inducted this year since he will have a movie relewased not to long after WrestleMania... |

Next night at Mania, have Harry come out to the Bulldog's music and face Greg Helms for the CW title (possibly win it.) They could put on an amazing match in memory of Owen/Davey. |
harry isnt a cruiserweight is he?

Stick Taker in the HoF then take away his win streak the next night. Could be an awesome way to get someone over, maybe Kennedy
Bring him out to the ring with the other inductees, honor them, etc. etc. Then as they are leaving the ring, have Taker leave last and Kennedy appears out of nowhere with a referee, quick roll-up and a pin. Undertaker's streak is over. Obviously Kennedy is a hypothetical as the have had their feud but it would be a great premise for a feud between Taker and another heel, maybe Edge. |
Taker shouldn't get in until after he retires. IMO.

For some reason I want to see Tro in the HOF...damn subliminal messages.

I'd like to see Austin inducted as the main entrant I suppose.
He's overdue, and most other logical big names are already in, still active, or not on good terms with the company. Plus hes got the movie coming up and all. I'd like to see the Rock induct Austin, because of their friendship. Or maybe Mick Foley or JR. I'd also like to see Owen and/or Davey boy inducted. It'd be nice to see some of Owens closest friends still with the company come together to induct him like they did for Eddie. Usually the other 3 or 4 inductees are more low key stars. |
I'd like to see Curt Henning (Inducted by his father Larry "The Axe" Henning)
Rick Rude (fellow minnesotan) Mike "Hawk" Hegstrand (From Chicago and should've been in last year IN Chicago) |
Ric Flair (after he retires...SOON)
Curt Hennig Road Warriors (as a tag team, like the Blackjacks were last year) Rick Rude Mick Foley I'm not too good with older names, hence the newness of the above list. |

So the fact that its not even a match doesn't matter? Or am i reading that wrong, you said bring the hof inductees into the ring and have kennedy pin taker, why would it matter if its not a match? |
Kevin Nash.
|
The Rock. He hasn't been seen for a while, plus more people are more likely to watch the ceremony and/or Mania if a bonefide star like The Rock was gonna be there.
Maybe have Bret induct Owen and Davey. If Bret is comfortable with it that is... |
LOD
Demolision Mr. Perfect Davey and Owen Randy Savage |
I'll be that Steamboat goes in, and possibly Savage to commemorate their WMIII match, although I don't know if they could get Savage.
List: Perfect Savage Steamboat DiBiase Dusty |
Steamboat definitely should be in there. I would also like to see Arn Anderson get some props.
|
^
Arn Anderson definitely. He is probably one of the most respected guys in the business. |
LOD
Dusty Rhodes Yokozuna Psycho Sid (i codn't care what anybody says he should be in) Ricky Steamboat Piper Dibiase |

Not unless guys who stand about 6'5" and weigh over 250 qualify now. And he's still developing, he's just a teen. |

Piper is already in. |

Owen Hart
British Bulldog Mr. Perfect Ricky Steamboat Arn Anderson Randy Savage Ted Dibiase That would be my list for the HOF this year. |
The Road Warriors need to be inducted.
|
Yeah, they do too. I don't know, there is a lot of people but I'm not sure who would be going in this year.
|
Shut up fag

WTF? Did you even read the posts above it, I gave my opinion and I was commenting on the Road Warriors which was mentioned by JamesSteele so if you're going to criticize my posting, at least know what the fuck you are talking about.

You're calling me retarded, yet you admit to not reading my posts? Do you see the irony there?

Good fucking god, I am done arguing with you. You come in here and say I don't contribute to this thread yet you posted just to start arguing with me which has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread or anything being discussed in here.

Anyway, my selections for the HoF are.... Ted Dibiase Owen Hart Davey-Boy Smith Ric Flair Brian Pillman Road Warriors |
They won't have so many dead guys in one ceremony. People want to see the recipients accept their award. Even though deceased legends should be recognised, I doubt you'd see more than two dead wrestlers inducted in any one year. My money is on Pillman and Hawk (along with Animal) for this years.
|
The Detroit papers in the area have already mentioned that The Original Sheik is almost guaranteed in the HOF.

Pilman isn't a hall of famer to me.

Blasphemy Legend.
|
Okay, I gotta say this.
As much as I loved to see Owen and The Bulldog, no, don't put them in the hall of fame. Yes, it'll be a nice draw because the people love them, but they didn't do anything to break any new ground in wrestling, and they weren't the best drawing wrestlers in their prime. For Owen, putting him in the hall of fame would just be a draw for ratings. For Davey Boy, if it's done right a way to help get Harry Smith over. But why hasn't anyone mentioned Stone Cold Steve Austin? Biggest draw for WWE at the time, multi time champ, might still have a great match or two left in him, and is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best prefromers to hit the ring in a good 10 years. How many other people have had a fued with HBK, Bret Hart, Triple H, The Rock, Mick Foley, Vince, Kurt Angle, and other great wrestlers? If only one person could get into the Hall Of Fame this year, my vote would be for Stone Cold Steve Austin... And just to do a little throwback... And that's the bottom line, 'cuz Stone Cold said so! |
Plenty of people have mentioned Stone Cold, FourFifty.
What about John "Earthquake" Tenta on a long shot? |
Two people. When I scanned the thread I looked for Steve, and Stone, but not Austin. I would have re-worded myself if I saw that people have said Austin.
|
Two is more than nobody is all I'm saying.

You saying Owen and Davey Boy don't belong on THAT list?? |
Well the WWE hall of fame isn't exactly the baseball hall of fame in terms of how elite it is. Based on who they've been inducting, it makes me wonder what wrestlers from the attitude and current eras won't be deserving.
|
They should come up with a system for induction thats more regimented.
Like, Main Eventer (Hogan, Bret) Main Eventer (Piper, Guerrero) Personality (mean gene, jimmy hart) Celbrity Tag Team or 2 singles wrestlers |
Quote:
For example, I wouldn't consider Mr. Perfect a main eventer, but he deserves to be in the HOF. Same with Ted DiBiase. I'd just leave that open as "wrestler". |
Ted DiBiase was a main eventer, and was then slowly phased down the card to a midcarder position. If you watched WWF in 1988 you would have considered DiBiase a major star. If you started watching in 1992 you would have considered him a tag team jobber.
Basically, Xero's right. Cena is a main eventer right now. In 5 years time he may be an opening match act. Hennig was a main eventer in the AWA, and also in WWF 89-91. At the end of his career he was a glorified jobber. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be in the HOF, for match quality alone. |

I don't see why not.

To me Pillman was an innovator, and was the first to bring the "Attitude/Extreme" style to a big promotion in the Monday Night Wars, long before Steve Austin. Even though it didn't catapult Pillman himself to superstardom, his influence is still felt to this day in a lot of what you see each Monday/Friday night.
|
Reckon Ron Simmons will go into the Hall of Fame? If he does, it will probably be Bradshaw's doing, and he'd induct him.
If you want to predict who's going into the Hall, follow the Bobby Heenan trail. He's brought the house down now for three years in a row, he's almost a lock to show up again. The question is simply who will he induct? |
