Your favorite song of all time

That's right, you only get to pick one, none of this "honorable mention" crap or anything like that. What is your favorite song of all time at the moment? The more I think about it, the more I think mine is:

Joy Division - Ceremony

Incredible.

Skippord 12-27-2006 05:34 AM

Twighlight Symphony - King Diamond

Blitz 12-27-2006 05:38 AM

No way I could possibly choose.

Triple A 12-27-2006 05:44 AM

The Beatles - A Day In The Life

The perfect song.

I sort of cringe every single time I hear it now though because I had to write a fucking 10 page paper on it and it made me literally want to die.

Requiem 12-27-2006 05:45 AM

Jimmy Eat World - Table For Glasses

Naturally, people have more time to look back on them. Which is why people think music in the 60s and 70s was better than now, when infact it wasn't, they've just conveniently forgotten the complete shit which was released in far greater quantities than the classic stuff

Good Lord, do I remember some fun arguments over that.

"Everything from the 80s on SUCKS!"

Yeah, people don't really care to think otherwise. The 80s, 90s, and 00s suck because we haven't had time to filter through them.

toxic rooster 12-29-2006 10:49 AM

Gonna have to say Champagne Supernova, simply for the fact that it's been stuck in my head for 4 days now.

Champion of Europa 12-30-2006 03:21 PM

I'd just like to mention that I love 80s pop music.

ct2k 01-01-2007 07:21 PM

Buzzkill 01-02-2007 10:26 PM

Gonna change my answer, because upon further deep reflection, I realised that there is only one song that consistently makes me smile, clap my hands say yeah, sing along, and jive the fuck out more than any other, and that song is "Come On! Feel The Illinoise!" by Sufjan Stevens.
