The Great Khali is expected to receive a huge push as we head closer to WrestleMania, according to PWInsider.com. His program against Tommy Dreamer has been done to design Khali as a monster monster. PWInsider.com adds that written in pencil at WrestleMania is Khali vs. Lashley for the ECW title.

I swear to fucking god if they do Khali Vs Lashley at Mania, and people like RVD and Punk are left in the back, I'll quit watching.

Sounds like I picked a perfect time to stop watching. Actually the perfect time probably would have been like 2 or 3 years ago, but what the hell.

And I thought Khali wasn't able to wrestle any more or something, also I thought WWE realised he sucked asshole.

I don't actually mind him as Champion. He's got a unique look and can be dominant if booked properly. He should never go off his feet and keep his matches short and brutal.

yea, I dunno. I have to admit, I have yet to see an ECW show yet nor have I seen Khali in the past 6 months or so.

I just kind of googled him right before and thought he might be a good champ via looking at a picture.

The man's best move is a karate chop to the top of someone's head. He makes Giant Gonzolez look like Kurt Freakin' Angle. Honesty now, I put his skills beneath Mark Henry.

I have yet to actually see Khali wrestle. I guess I have amazing timing.

Honestly this match is what comes to mind when I think ECW. These two masters of the mat will put on a technical masterpiece in the same light as Eddie Guerrero vs. Dean Malenko. Oh wait it's Lashley vs. Khali...A botching machine who looks like he never can get a spot right, a man who can't even take a kick properly, facing Khali.

They can't possibly believe that anyone in their right mind would be interested in seeing this match! People weren't interested in seeing this ON SMACKDOWN, why would they be interested in seeing it at Wrestlefreakingmania!?!?!

Seriously, why do they leak this info out to the public? There is ZERO reason to watch ECW between now and Mania (not that there was before...but still...) knowing this steaming pile of donkey nuts is the program they'll be building towards.

It would be fucking sweet if Van dam ran out during the match, chair shot both of them till they bled, broke Kayfabe, quit and announced he was going to TNA.

If Heyman were still in the company and on TV they could probably pull it off.

They write that Heyman is out there to screw RVD via a fast count, while RVD is pinned he kicks out and rolls them up legit for the 3.

Refs tend to like their job, I doubt as though any of them will finish the three count. Also, I am starting to enjoy all these wild fantasies of wrestling breaking kayfabe and doing something to give TNA attention...people don't seem to realise that in this age of contracted wrestlers, you get your ass sued and probably would be so busy with court you could never make a TNA apperance. But hey, it's fun to dream I guess...

Khali vs Lashley

Both men are fighting. Lashley gets chair shot after chair shot from RVD and bleeds the hardway. RVD then kicks Khali and Khali is so shocked as to what is transpiring that he falls down. RVD pins Khali, Heyman runs out from the crowd, counts the 1..2..3 and the riot begins

I'm calling bullshit. The WWE wasn't happy with Khali, and while this wouldn't be the most retarded thing they've done, I doubt they'd really do this.

I see three potential WrestleMania matches for the ECW World Title.

1. Rob Van Dam vs. Bobby Lashley

This match could be set up one of two ways. At the Royal Rumble, we get a Triple Threat for the ECW Title. Bobby Lashley defends against both Test and RVD. Scenario #1 sees Bobby Lashley retain the Title after pinning Test.

Rob Van Dam is pissed, and says that in the original ECW, Lashley would have needed to pin both Test and himself to keep the belt. Lashley says that he loves ECW, he chose to come here, and he wants to earn the respect of RVD, the ECW faithful, and he wants to carry on the spirit of ECW. He offers to defend the ECW Title against RVD at WrestleMania in an Extreme Rules Match.

The second scenario sees something very similar, but RVD wins the Title after pinning Test, Lashley screams shenanigans, and wants to beat RVD at his own game at WrestleMania. RVD has no problem with it.

Either way, the results would either be the same.

2. Test vs. Bobby Lashley

Like the possible match above, there is a Triple Threat Match at the Royal Rumble, and Test wins the Title after pinning Rob Van Dam. Bobby Lashley begins his chase for the Title heading into the grandest stage of them all.

3. Bobby Lashley vs. CM Punk

This is admittedly the least likely match, but I could still see it happening. Heading into WrestleMania, Lashley goes through all comers, from Test to Rob Van Dam to The Great Khali. CM Punk continues to rack up wins, and challenges Lashley, saying he believes he is ready for a one-on-one match for the ECW World Title, and if his streak is going to be broken, so be it. He loves competition, and Lashley can provide the ultimate competition.
