NICE stickman you fucking waste of a life

RP 03-10-2007 06:59 AM

The thing about the 90's ( alot like todays music scene) is that for every really good band, there was like 10 horrible bands. For every Nirvana, there was 10 Ace of Base.

I cant even remember what listening to the radio must have been like then.

El Vaquero de Infierno 03-10-2007 11:13 AM

All I know is that, in general, rock music today sucks big, giant balls.

I was gonna put Mother Love Bone, but I figured that they wouldn't be 'allowed' because they were formed in the late 80s

No, seriously, the Wallflowers are fucking amazing and don't get nearly enough attention anymore, even though they're still putting out great material.

Blitz 03-12-2007 10:36 PM

Ace of Base were awesome.

RGWhat316 03-13-2007 09:03 PM

Most bands from the '90's I like have already been listed, ie: Live, Smashing Pumkins, Nirvana, Garbage, Limp Bizkit, Oasis, Silverchair, Soundgarden. But one band I haven't seen listed I also was a big fan of at the time, Bush. Now Gavin only has to worry about bangin Gwen Stefani.

Londoner 03-23-2007 12:56 PM

Guns n Roses

Had to be me who said them I guess!

AdrianM 03-23-2007 07:48 PM

there seemed to be a few good bands, but not alot of really grreat bands.

Personally, stuff like soundgarden, alice in chains, faith no more and pearl jam are so overrated to me. And the shame of it is that these were some of the better 90's bands.

As for shit like third eye blind (or whatever they're called), matchbox 20, Silverchair, Bush, Green day, Jebidah and Killing heidi (both australian), all these bands are appauling!

I dunno, for me, the best 90's bands were:

The Offspring
Frenzal Rhomb
Powderfinger
Living End
Oasis
Rage against the machine

LC's list is pretty perfect.

Kane Knight 03-27-2007 05:58 PM

To be honest, I don't know any of their songs except the one that got radio play off American Idiot. I don't like them, but I don't hate them.

The Hollowbodies
Extra Fancy
The Stone Coyotes (man, hard to believe they got started in 1998).
Ednaswap (Their Song, Torn, was covered to great success. I thik they were broken up by then)
Fuel (Though I liked only their first album)

AdrianM is a fan and defender of Wolmother.

Don't take anything he says too seriously.

Just John 03-28-2007 12:38 PM

AdrianM just managed redeem himself from calling Pearl Jam overrated because I was in a good mood
