Wrestlers that have never been heels?

In a long carrer? Don't recall Ricky Steamboat ever being a heel. I think Sting was a heel when he first debuted right?

TerranRich 03-11-2007 09:41 PM

I don't think Hacksaw Jim Duggan was ever a heel. Was he?

loopydate 03-11-2007 09:45 PM

Hacksaw joined Team Canada.

Destor 03-11-2007 09:46 PM

Samartino.

Destor 03-11-2007 09:46 PM

Rocky Johnson.

D Mac 03-11-2007 09:48 PM

Steamboat?

Destor 03-11-2007 10:19 PM

It seems like he had a very short (and unsuccessful,) run as heel. But I could be wrong.

Pepsi Man 03-11-2007 10:58 PM

Sting was heel briefly in late 2000.

That was so awful.

Shadow 03-11-2007 11:41 PM

I'd say Jeff Hardy. I can't recall a point in his life when he was a bad guy.

Reavant 03-11-2007 11:49 PM

when he was in the new brood when edge and christian split from gangreal

And then towards the end of his first WWE run as a burnout.

The Genius 03-12-2007 01:49 AM

i am not sure what warrior was when he was dingo warrior or as a blade runner with sting but in his mainstream wwf and wcw career i dont believe he was ever a heel.

Jeritron 03-12-2007 05:11 AM

boogen

D Mac 03-12-2007 02:58 PM

Were talking about meaningfull carrers here Jeritron.

Stickman 03-12-2007 05:25 PM

Maybe we can sticky this reoccuring thread.

Destor 03-12-2007 05:41 PM

Jeff has been heel several times. Rember when they were managed by "doc Hendrix?"

Boogeyman was heel when he was in OVW.

Warrior was heel in the blade runners as was sting.

Boogeyman was heel when he first debuted, wasn't he? Or was he nothing and the WWE were trying to figure out what he was? I don't think anyone counts OVW.

Destor 03-12-2007 09:00 PM

Yes OVW counts, that is part of their career.

And no, he was a baby when he debuted.

tucsonspeed6 03-12-2007 09:49 PM

Eugene was only a heel for about 5 minutes. Does that count?

Destor 03-12-2007 09:51 PM

He's still heel...

Russenmafia 03-13-2007 05:50 PM

Koko B Ware???

What Would Kevin Do? 03-13-2007 06:40 PM

Drew Carey...

What Would Kevin Do? 03-13-2007 06:43 PM

Tommy Dreamer? (The fans hated him when he started, but I don't think he was a heel.)

DTM 03-13-2007 07:37 PM

Dreamer was a heel when he was in The Alliance.

He was a heel in Mid-South for a while. He was a part of the "Brat Pack" stable with Ted DiBiase, Matt Borne, and Dr. Death Steve Williams.

No shit? I HAVE GOT TO FIND THIS. :y:

Destor 03-13-2007 10:01 PM

So far the only one that is official is Rocky Johnson then yes?

lort 03-13-2007 10:14 PM

I don't recall Steamboat ever being a heel. He was a face all the way throughout his Mid-Atlantic, WWF and WCW runs. Infact I'm sure I've read an interview where he says he wished he could have worked heel just once in his career.

The Genius 03-14-2007 01:06 AM

tito santana?

Corndad 03-14-2007 01:11 AM

Was Hillbilly Jim ever a Heel?

D Mac 03-14-2007 01:15 AM

Don't recall Tito or Jim ever being one.

Afterlife 03-14-2007 01:42 AM

What about JR?

KillerWolf 03-14-2007 01:46 AM

Ricky Steamboat was never a heel.

what about Misterio?

The Patriot.

Man Mountain Rock. wait... are we only doing meaningful carreers?

Koko B. Ware?

Alundra Blaze :shifty:

He joined the LWO in WCW when he was unmasked I think.

No, the LWO was before that and he refused to join but eventually did from what I remember. He joined the Konnan and the No Limit Soldiers after he was unmasked I think. He was heel at one point in WCW though.

more like the No Talent Soldiers, they sucked.

DTM 03-14-2007 04:59 PM

It was pretty much a joke but I was just glad Brad Armstrong was getting some sort of a push and TV time.

NeanderCarl 03-15-2007 11:44 PM

Weren't the Filthy Animals heels? If so, there's your Misterio heel turn right there. Plus I'm pretty sure he's been a heel in Mexico too. Almost certain, in fact. Probably in the time between his WCW and WWE runs.

Are we talking on the grand stage of a nationally televised promotion here? Or do indies etc. count?

I think Hillbilly Jim debuted as a heel biker, Harley Davidson, in the indies (Memphis?).

Man Mountain Rock was a heel as Maxx Payne in WCW and in Austria.

I think, other than younger guys who have only just started out, Steamboat is the only big name to have never had a heel run. But I'm sure even he has played the heel at least on a few occasions, as per the crowd reaction on any given night, back when wrestlers would read the crowd and react to it, rather than just go by-the-numbers. The must have been occasions when Steamboat's opponent was more popular than he, and Steamboat heeled it up as a result?

NeanderCarl 03-15-2007 11:48 PM

Jim Ross has been a heel on two occasions in WWE (1996 and 1998). Alundra Blayze was a heel as Madusa. Koko B. Ware was playing heel very recently in Memphis, maybe even still is.

So far Steamboat, Rocky Johnson and Tito Santana are the best bets for never having had a heel run. Was Santana never a heel in the AWF?

redoneja 03-15-2007 11:52 PM

Pedro Morales and Antonio Rocca are two that come to mind but that's going way back.

The Genius 03-16-2007 09:26 AM

were the filthy animals heels? i thought they were feuding with the west texas rednecks who were supposed to be heels.

DTM 03-16-2007 02:20 PM

They were heel at one point though I think.

Pepsi Man 03-16-2007 04:47 PM

The whole Rey/Filthy Animals being heel bit was as a part of the New Blood in the New Blood vs. Millionaire's Club feud. As for Rey and the LWO, Rey Mysterio refused to join the LWO, but was eventually forced to, when Eddie Guerrero beat him in a match.

Afterlife 03-16-2007 05:30 PM

....Triple H?

Afterlife 03-16-2007 05:30 PM

:shifty:

Mikey 03-16-2007 05:40 PM

Misterio was heel when the Filthy Animals were with the New Blood back in 2000

The Genius 03-16-2007 10:32 PM

maybe i got the filthy animals confused with the no limit soldiers.

RP 03-16-2007 11:02 PM

Marty Janeatte

D Mac 03-17-2007 01:03 AM

You know I can't recall Marty ever being heel.

KingofOldSchool 03-17-2007 08:34 AM

He was a heel when he was a part of the New Rockers with Leif "Not Yet Al Snow" Cassidey.

RP 03-17-2007 08:39 AM

SUPER FLY JIMMY SNUKA!

KingofOldSchool 03-17-2007 08:41 AM

He was a heel in the late 70's/early 80's.

weather vane 03-20-2007 04:32 AM

Tito Santana seems like a safe bet.
