Moves you haven't seen in a while...

Maybe I'm not watching at the right time, but it seems to have been a while since I've seen a pump hamdle slam. I don't watch TNA, just in case BG James still does it.
And when was the last time someone did The Pineapple Crush? (for anyone who doesn't know, it was Crush's finisher when he went solo in WWF. If you still don't know, all the dude did was squeeze his victim's head at the sides from behind) Kahli would be pretty bad ass if he did it.
So what are some moves you haven't seen in a while?

Destor 03-11-2007 08:21 PM

Love the sig.

FourFifty 03-11-2007 08:26 PM

Got the idea in the c-fed forum. Gotta love Danny Nitro!

Blitz 03-11-2007 08:36 PM

If someone started using the Crush again, wouldn't you just go off on them for stealing moves?

Destor 03-11-2007 08:44 PM

ROFL

Destor 03-11-2007 08:45 PM

But nah totally different. No one is making a living off that move.

BigDaddyCool 03-11-2007 11:30 PM

When is the last time anyone did a tornado ddt?

St. Jimmy 03-11-2007 11:49 PM

Fuck, when is the last time anyone did a Regular DDT?

Reavant 03-11-2007 11:52 PM

vertacl suplex drop to a pile driver! NUTS!

.44 Magdalene 03-12-2007 12:15 AM

What if somebody started making a living off that move?

Reavant 03-12-2007 12:20 AM

in all the video games its scott steiner's finisher from the feet its always called the SSD or something

Jeritron 03-12-2007 12:21 AM

a rock bottom

Hanso Amore 03-12-2007 12:46 AM

Such a sick move. Couldn't believe Steiner actually did it till I saw it.

Jura 03-12-2007 01:36 AM

I think Test did the pump-handle slam or at least attempted to. Randy Orton did a DDT on Raw with the guy's body on the middle ropes. Tornado DDT I either saw on Smackdown by one of the cruiserweights or on TNA.

dablackguy 03-12-2007 01:47 AM

I couldn't believe Steiner could do a Frankensteiner til I saw it on tape or Hogan doing an insiguri (sp)

The Vertebreaker

Hanso Amore 03-12-2007 04:55 AM

If Steiner had the in ring capability in 1999 as champ that he had in 1992, My god!

The last time I saw him do a Frankensteiner was the first night he was in the NWO, as White Thunder, he finished someone off with a top roper, then he blew up on roids.

Stickman 03-12-2007 02:34 PM

DDT
Piledriver
Powerbomb

All the WWE matches now are the same and consist primarily as arm drag, slap slap, chop chop body slam, lame finisher, over.

SOMEONE PLEASE FIND A VIDEO OF THE STEINER SCREW DRIVER!!!! i always thought that move was like made up just for video games or some shit.

Gerard 03-12-2007 04:15 PM

A decent spear, can't say i like edge's variation as he's so scrawny looking he looks more like a flying toothpick\flying chin attack (devestating). Just doesn't seem to me to have the build required for that move to look good.

Road Warrior 03-12-2007 07:58 PM

Harlem Hangover, Booker got to big to use it

Xero 03-12-2007 08:03 PM

The F-5. Someone needs to use that move again. Big Show started using it, but only once or twice.

Seriously, that is such an awesome move.

KingofOldSchool 03-12-2007 08:08 PM

A piledriver

Didn't Matt Morgan use that for a little while ?

Xero 03-12-2007 08:18 PM

I think he did. I know he used something SIMILAR to the F-5 (sort of like a reverse F-5 Side Walk Slam I think), but I'm not 100% positive if he did use the F-5...

Road Warrior 03-12-2007 08:22 PM

Texas Cloverleaf and Top Rope Awesome Bomb, that thing was f'n sweeeet

Holy fuck. When was the last time he used that?

Road Warrior 03-12-2007 08:26 PM

F'n awesome, Are pile drivers stll outlawed in WWE ?

Xero 03-12-2007 08:27 PM

Besides the Tombstone for Taker and sometimes Kane, yeah.

I suppose when Lawler has his inevitable HOF match he'll hit it too.

Road Warrior 03-12-2007 08:31 PM

have'nt seen a fisherman suplex pin (Perfect plex) in a long time

Destor 03-12-2007 08:31 PM

Great move, but I wouldn't let just anybody hit it on me.

Xero 03-12-2007 08:32 PM

I wouldn't let Steiner hit it on me, that's for damn sure.

Destor 03-12-2007 08:33 PM

No shit. That guy is scary in the ring.

Road Warrior 03-12-2007 08:41 PM

I would'nt even get in the ring with Steiner, he's a terrible worker and is likely to snap at any minute and break your neck in a Steiner Recliner

I wouldn't let Steiner do a stare down with me. I'd be afraid his muscles would explode and his eyes would pop out onto me.

Val Venis uses it, but seeing as he rarely gets a televised match, no surprise you haven't seen it in a while.

I liked Sean O'Haire's old finisher. Like a death valley driver, but leg first rather than head first.

Also, I haven't seen a sunset flip from the top rope (or any sunset flip, thinking about it) in quite some time.

Mickie did it to Melina a couple of Raws back but I'm guessing no one is going to count that.

Yeah, perfect execution, too.

Yeah for some reason, Hogan actually tries when he is in Japan. Check out his match against thew Great Muta. He does an enziguri, works submissions, and mat wrestles. Probably his greatest match in terms of the actual wrestling.

wwe2222 03-13-2007 10:42 AM

I havent seen anyone use the crucifix into a pin that guys like Bret Hart and HBK used to use back in the early 90s...you know, where they would jump, wrap themselves around the guys upper body and then pull them down for a pin

Same thing when he first arrived in WCW. With WCW having a reputation for being a more serious, wrestling orientated promotion, Hogan actually put his working boots on. His debut match against Ric Flair was an eye-opener. Nobody would have confused Hogan with Benoit by any means, but he had a surprising level of technical wrestling acumen... well, for Hulk Hohum anyway.

The victory roll, which won Bret Hart the 1993 King of the Ring finals. I've not seen it for time, although I think Mysterio uses it.

NeanderCarl 03-13-2007 03:18 PM

Or did you mean the actual crucifix, which Davey Boy Smith always used to use?

dont remember what the one he did looks like...it put the guy who was performing it in a position like they were going to get hit by a fall away slam or something...but instead pulled their opponent down and pinned them

for some reason I remember Gorilla Monsoon calling it a crucifix

EDIT: Just went back and watch KOTR 1993...not the move I was talking about...ill have to find an example

Imagine there's a guy behind you holding onto your left arm then jumping up and wrapping his legs around your right arm (now you look like a human cross) then he gets you to fall backwards.

I think Eddie used to do it too.
